What did we fix in this update?

• Updated RenPy to version 8.5.3;
• Added Save Rollback: When attempting to load an old save file where the script has changed in an incompatible way, the game should no longer crash. The player will be notified and then taken to the beginning of the scene, avoiding the bug;
• UI text improvements: Screen text, spacing, and button sizes;
• Fixed the “Sayer not defined” error: When a problem occurs while synchronizing files, a character is sometimes not defined, causing a crash screen. This screen should no longer appear, as the sayer is now defined at runtime;
• Fixed a bug where it was possible to save a game with a name containing special characters;
• Saves created with names containing special characters have been fixed: there was an issue where players could no longer access their save page and had to rely solely on auto/quick saves. This problem should no longer occur;

In seasons 1 and 2 we had a system, which is being reworked to overcome some obstacles.

Challenge 1: Taking care not to make the story too rigid.

During the development of Season 2, we received feedback that the story was poor. And this happened in part because of the stiffness that occurs after a scene receives voice acting. The scriptwriting team refuses to:

• Review the bad scenes and dialogue, since we already paid for them to be dubbed.
• Changing scenes at the last minute is not feasible, as dubbing at the last minute is unfeasible.

The result was that the Season 2 storyline became rigid, as any changes to the story would be very costly to re-record the dialogue. And so it ended up worse than Season 1. To recap, Season 1 was made entirely without dubbing, and we only added dubbing a year after its release. And I remember that when we did that, we changed several English texts, and I saw a lot of feedback saying that the text was worse. So we had to abandon the old work methodology and start a new one that is still in progress.

Challenge 2: Increase productivity by 50 times.

While in Season 2 we were writing 500 words per week, in Season 3 we are writing 12,500 words per week. With this change alone, voice productivity will need to increase 25 times. But since we've already used half the development time, the actresses will have to do 100% of the game in 50% of the time. Therefore, this doubles the load once again, bringing the total to 25,000 words to be voiced per week.

Challenge 3: The actresses are freelancers and work on multiple projects.

Some actresses are professionals and work with precise deadlines and great efficiency. Other actresses, however, have a slower pace and may not be able to meet the deadlines we set. By demanding 50 times greater productivity, I fear some will be late. And perhaps some of the actresses need to be replaced. And usually the community cries and panics when we have to replace even one actress due to delays.

We continue the work doing the best we can.

We have 2 team members working on one problem at a time, but since the game's development is accelerating, there are no guarantees that we'll be able to dub everything in time. From today until the full Season 3 launch, the team has 70 working days on Season 3 (after accounting for holidays and vacations). And the game is projected to have 260,000 words. But in the long run, I have faith that the team will succeed, even if the voices are only ready after the launch. And the answer is we are using HI. HI means "Human Intelligence" So you have the answer; please share the Fact News with others. I've been reading books and changing the ways the team works. Just yesterday I found a way to compress the zip file of the game 60x faster using 7zip synchronization instead of using the Renpy Build feature. Instead of taking 900 seconds, it now takes 15 seconds. This will help a lot to upload patches and updates, which we do several times per week. We also found a way to launch the game 2x faster by deferring the loading of translation files. It takes 16 seconds instead of 34 seconds. Since we have to refresh the game hundreds of times when we are testing, this extra speed makes an impact. The team and I look for the slowest process, which is taking too long and slowing the development, then we propose some countermeasures, test them, and check the results. Repeating this process weekly for the last 8 months, we accumulated a lot of efficiency. Which resulted in a faster development time for Season 3. • The Salary Raise 1 event now unlocks at Job 3. Its requirements changed to Charm 12, Kindness 12, and Proficiency 12. It works like a regular map event at Hell Angels.
• Added a relationship screen that shows how much XP you have with each girl and the XP goal to unlock her final scene.
