🔎 While working on a major update for FPS Monitor, we came up with a new program that you might like :)

It's called X-Magnifier — an improved version of the built-in Windows screen magnifier, designed specifically for gamers. Hi. We're here with some good news for you! The most interesting aspect of this update is that FPS Monitor can once again work with games that use Easy Anti-Cheat. We have prepared a special workaround that allows us to inject our DLL, signed with an old digital certificate that is whitelisted by EAC. Now the issue is resolved for Rust, Fortnite, War Thunder, Apex Legends, Hunt: Showdown 1896, THE FINALS, ELDEN RING, Throne and Liberty, Dead by Daylight, and other EAC-based games. Reminder: We updated our digital code signing certificate in February, and it should be whitelisted by Easy Anti-Cheat for our program to work with their games. Unfortunately, after their transition to EPIC, we lost all contacts with their employees and have been unable to reach anyone :( Is it dangerous? Not at all. FPS Monitor simply operates as the old whitelisted version when encountering any EAC-based games, there are no harmful or unsafe «hacks». The only downside is that the old version (within the new one) does not support the new feature (OLED) described below. Therefore, you won’t see it in EAC games.

So, other changes:

Added global overlay offset. Check the Settings menu. This feature is useful if you're concerned about the safety of your OLED display. It adds a random offset to all overlays displayed in games or on the desktop. You can specify a range for this offset and the delay before the next change.
A hotkey for toggling the FPS limit has been added. Finally! =]
New hardware has been added to the supported list.

Hello boys and girls! If you play EFT then this information will be useful for you. We've received reports of overlays disappearing after a few minutes of mission gameplay. They disappeared only in PvP mode and not in PvE. A lot of tests and experiments haven't shown anything useful :( Everything should work without any problems, but it doesn't work... We tried to ask the developers about this issue and they claimed that they do not block our software. EFT uses BattlEye anti-cheat and our FPS Monitor is in its white list. Hopeless situation... We have tried the last idea and it worked! FPS Monitor injects its own DLL into a game process for interception of GPU rendering and adding its own overlays (as all overlays software do). Our DLLs are named fpsmon32.dll (for 32-bits games) and fpsmon64.dll (for 64-bits games as EFT). We've prepared a new build with renamed DLLs and tested this new build with EFT. And this trick works like a charm! You can test this build by yourself and tell us your opinion. Of course this build works with other games too :) To install this build you need to switch to the beta branch. In the Steam client, open Properties for FPS Monitor, click to the "Betas" tab and select "beta - beta" branch. Then redownload the program. A bit of conspiracy :) Do you know what that means? Something interferes with fpsmon64.dll but it doesn't this with fps-mon64.dll (as in this test build). That is, something checks the names of all DLLs loaded in the game process and does its bad job depending on the name. Something only in EFT ;) p. s. people say that Discord has the same problem with EFT. Why??! :) Discord and FPS Monitor...

Hello everybody! Hardware access module is updated and now our system information overlay can get some Ryzen 5000 sensors ;) Other changes:

Added support for fractional min/max values in sysinfo graphs and bars
Added support for fractional values in alerts settings
Fixed Rainbow 6 crash when Vulkan API is used
Fixed Mount & Blade || - Bannerlord detection
Fixed Armored Warfare detection

Do you play R6? We have a good news for you. Unfortunately, R6 devs are blocking 3rd party Vulkan layers (we use our own layer to draw overlays in Vulkan-powered games). But there is a workaround to make our layer "eligible" :) Open software installation folder and subfolder Tools (check a screenshot). {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33831318/36f6dea494fa8ec21ed9db56245ea2dc7c4e43b5.png Then open fpsmonvk64.json in any text editor, find the "name" parameter and change its default value from "VK_LAYER_fpsmon" to "VK_LAYER_RENDERDOC_Capture", save the file, run the game. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33831318/77b7dd0fa8a45f2b2e383e4ac9e3c9def21301ff.png What we have done? Here is our new release #5075. Changes list: ⚡ We've added boolean sensors (1/0 or Yes/No, On/Off). For example, CPU core sensors "Critical Temperature" and "Thermal Throttling" and others. ⚡ Better compatibility with DX10/11/12 games on some systems. ⚡ Desktop widget now has an Update Rate option like overlays. Previous versions updated it 10 times per second by default. ⚡ Fixed bug selecting software interface font in the program options. Hello boys and girls! We're ready to release new build with with very nice build number #5000. As we announced at the end of 2018 year, this new version will have at least one great new feature - desktop widget (or desktop overlay). Now you're able to see any part of a scene over your desktop (on top or under all windows). This widget works as portal or mirror to your scene. It will show everything that falls within its boundaries. Just hold CTRL button and move it over desktop with mouse (even to another display). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arTbIW51ImE Here are the other changes in this release:

Added sensors for logical disks. These sensor will not slow down system performance or even crash it (possible with physical drives sensors on some systems)
Added font anti-aliasing switch in overlays. Very useful for Desktop overlay when it is in "transparent black color" mode.
Added Cyber Sync feature in experimental mode (FPS Limiter option)
Fixed GPU driver memory leak in some very specific cases (yes, we know how to eat all your GPU memory and no one will understand what the hell is going on :) )
Improvements in hardware access module (new devices are supported, fixes, etc)

Hello, friends! We worked hard and are almost ready to release a new version which has a number of new features. We'd like to reveal now one of them - this is the Mirror To Desktop (or Desktop Overlay) feature. The program will display a specified area(s) from your scene right to desktop (to a widget). So you'll be able to see your system state not only in games but in "normal" Windows too.
