This means if you have access to GamePass, you can play Forager for free on XBOX or on your WIndows PC. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32334585/37445f1a8436066fa331686f4304fa0c5554603c.gif Additionally, the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the game will be updated today as well! All the content that PC players got over the past year will be fully available on consoles!

This is why we have worked to create so many free content updates for Forager players over the past year, and this is why despite the technical difficulties we decided to allow full modding support for the game. I am very pleased to announce that after months of work, the efforts of the Forager community and our amazing audio designer and programmer Topher produced a new official free content expansion for the game!

Gather the energy of the sun with Forager: Evolved!

Forager: Evolved is an official collection of mods, content and fixes for the game developed by Topher in collaboration with the Forager community. Here are the main features:

New Structures:

• Solar Panel: Has four tiers, produces solar energy during the day
• Lunar Panel: Has four tiers, produces solar energy during the night
• Solar Workbench: Enables solar crafting!
• Metabolic Infuser: Automatically heals HP and Energy over time in a radius
• Fracturing Rig: Automatically produces Petroleum
• Industrial Grinder: Causes nearby ores to drop extra items
• Solar Kiln: When placed next to a Solar Drill, produces ingots, bricks and glass
• Solar Drill: Automatically produces coal, iron, and gold
• Cable: Connects structures to Panels

• Solar Powered Hammer
• Capacitor
• Gold Gear
• Iron Gear
• Machine Casing
• Petroleum
• Solar Cell

In case you haven't heard yet, these are the things that are confirmed to come soon:

• Multiplayer Mode
• Content Updates for Switch & PS4 (All the released updates!)
• Xbox GamePass Version (Base game + ALL updates)
• Mobile Version (Base game + ALL updates)

It is because players like you loved Forager so much and provided me and the dev team with SO MUCH feedback and ideas that we were able to release all the content updates for FREE for EVERYONE! 🎉

Also, the console updates are officially done! Yay!

Development of these took a while so I want to personally thank every Forager player for their patience and support. I care so much for this community that I couldn't stand to see the console versions being several updates behind in content... I hope you enjoy all the new free stuff! I will announce the release date for the updates as soon as Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft all confirm their dates!

On other news, Forager has been nominated for best GameMaker game!

We are currently working on the multiplayer update and we expect it to be done sometime this year (2020). So far it's going great and we are trying to decide how many new things we want to add to the game. Would you prefer to wait longer and have new content to play with your friends? Or should we just focus on getting multiplayer ready ASAP and add content later? I have a few ideas myself, but what kind of things are you interested in? I am sorry this is taking so long, but it will definitely be worth it! Updates for consoles are being worked on by an external team and they are very very very good at it... I have so much faith in their work, it's going to be great when the updates are available later this year! Hey Foragers! When Forager first came out back in April, gamers all around the world told me they liked the game and they were excited about its future potential. I originally thought the game was 100% done and was ready to move on. But then noticed people leaving comments such as "It's a great base! Make more content for it!". Why not add more content? Why not add more lands/items/skills/enemies/biomes/etc? There truly was a great base to work with. Gamers were right! So I came up with a plan! I took the money Forager made and decided to put it back to development so we can keep expanding the game for everyone for FREE! The main issue I noticed is that a single person can't possibly expand a game as quickly as I wanted, so I hired a bunch of awesome people to help! Heya! I’m lazyeye, a game dev from the Chicagoland area. I taught myself how to make video games while I was in college and eventually dropped out to start coding them as a career. Hey Foragers! It's finally time! The Combat Update is upon us! This update has been the most ambitious undertaking we have tackled ever since the game released! The goal was to add more challenging encounters, to ease out the power curve and to improve the gameplay length. Remember, I want to keep working on this game for years to come so let me know what would you like to see in the future! Check out the official new trailer!

New Content and Features:

• New Biome/Dungeon: The Void. New procedural endless world players can travel to late in the game. You must defeat all enemies before the time runs out, or you will be teleported out! Defeating all the enemies in time will allow you to continue to the next level of the Void. Each time you progress, enemies will become stronger and more diverse, but your rewards will increase as well!
• New Game Mode: Hard Mode. Hard Mode is available directly from the main menu when creating new savefiles, and it allows you to play Forager in a MUCH more difficult setting. All enemies are stronger and will attack your base, new enemies will also appear at night, and resource costs are increased!
• New Gear and Item Tiers: Void and Cosmic. Two new and powerful tiers of gear that offer higher stats and new abilities, crafted from materials gained from content added in this update.
• Improved Combat Difficulty. All enemies have increased stats, and some of them have improved AI and new combat moves! ALL Bossfights are also more difficult now!
• New Enemies and Bosses. Face off against powerful new foes!
• Pets. Unlock your own personal pet through the new Pet skill in the Foraging branch!
• Starfalls. Legends say during the darkest nights, stars will randomly fall from the sky and Foragers everywhere are free to mine them for goodies!
• Railroads. Go deep into the Industry branch of skills to unlock Railroads and Locomotives! These contraptions will allow you to move quickly through your giant base!
• Boss-Summoning Sigils. Fight new powerful late-game bosses by summoning them on your base! You will be able to fully create and customize an arena to give you an advantage over them!
• New Secret NPC. There is a new secret trader NPC that only spawns at night and will sell rare items!
• Skill Grid Rework. A lot of the boring/useless skills have been reworked or removed, and new ones have been added!
• Game Balance/Pacing Rework. Improved pacing and difficulty! Finally! Players won't be able to unlock overpowered skills and gear TOO early anymore, making the pacing smoother and gameplay longer!
• New Inventory Menu. New design and new features! Sort items manually, Send items to Vaults automatically, Add/Remove items from your Toolbar and full item descriptions!
• New Crafting Menu. New design and new features! Infinite crafting, Pinned recipes and full item descriptions!
• Vault Locking. You are now able to lock slots on Vaults to make sure only the specified item goes in it!
• 100 New Items!
• A TON of Bugfixes!

The Forager Combat Update will release on October 15th!

Updates for consoles usually take a few months longer than updates for PC. My team and I do not work directly on console updates (a third party handles porting). Forager will no longer be available for Mac and Linux moving forward. Any plans to bring the game to Mac have now officially been canceled.
