When you start a new career, a short help popup appears the first time you visit each main screen (Hub, Squad, Transfers, Finances, Matchday, and more).
Each tip explains what that screen is for and gives a few practical pointers.
Tips show once per screen, per career. Dismiss with Got it and they will not auto-show again on that screen.
A ? button in the top bar (next to Settings) opens the help for whatever screen you are on, anytime.
Useful if you dismissed a tip and want a refresher.
In Settings → Guide, you can turn Automatic screen tips off if you prefer to learn on your own.
The ? button still works when auto tips are off.
You can also choose Don't show screen tips automatically from any popup.

Club treasury (default): fees hit your bank balance first
Transfer war chest: fees go straight into your signing budget, like before
The below fixes are part of an ongoing, wider, economic balance (especially as we add more leagues and nations). So we will keep adding to this and improving this - keep your feedback coming in!
Lower league survivalNew games start with a bit more club treasury on all difficulties.
Tier 4 (County League) clubs get an extra $80,000 starting buffer.
Tier 3 clubs get an extra $25,000 starting buffer.
Tier 4 TV income is slightly higher ($1,250 per week instead of $1,000).
Local and lower league shirt deals pay more each week (roughly $55 to $75 instead of about $40).
Tier 3 sponsor income got a small boost too.
The setup wizard now shows your full starting club treasury, including any lower league buffer.
Wages, transfer budgets, and prize money are the same.
Going bankrupt still triggers the Administration screen.
You still get 2 emergency board loans per career via Take loan & continue season.
Check Hub for treasury and runway.
Use Club → Finances and Office → Treasury before big spends.
Sign a shirt sponsor early in lower divisions.
hi Everyone, 3 relatively big updates in this weekend release, please check out the release notes below. If you have any feedback, as always, please put it in the Steam Discussions, we read all posts!
A note for German League saves: Football Boardroom currently uses the same director-led club structure across all nations. We know German football has its own distinctive ownership and governance traditions, including member control and the 50+1 model etc. We will explore how these can be better represented more authentically in a future update (and if you have any feedback, or input on it, let us know :) !)
A note on multiple leagues in one save: at the moment, you cannot consecutively play different leagues (e.g. you cant move between England to Spain and then to France on one save, but this is planned for later updates, where you could potentially own multiple clubs or sell clubs and move to other countries etc - we are still working out how this can best work in the game!)
Pick England, Spain, Germany, France, or Greece
Italy shows Coming Soon and is not playable yet as we didnt get time to add the rules for Italy yet, but Italy will be the next league we add.
Each nation has the right number of tier tabs and takeover costs
Confirm screen shows the correct nation (e.g. "Spain — Liga Federación")
NOte that we have added USD, GBP and EURO to the game, so you can see things in your relevant currency. We can add more currencies as we go!
Click path: New Game → Difficulty → Display currencyToggle $ USD, £ GBP, or € EUR (1:1 display only, no exchange rates yet)
Applies in wizard previews, Hub, Director → Treasury, and Team → Manager → Contract
Team → League: correct division names and nation-specific league logos
Team → Cup: nation cup names (e.g. Trofeo del Sol / Trofeo Federación for Spain)
Club → Map: nation flag in the header
Italy not playable
Currency is display-only and there is not yet the complexity of multi currency and conversion rates etc.
Deeper nation flavour (sponsors, atmosphere, etc.) planned for future updates
Some screens outside the main boardroom flow may still show $
Please keep the feedback coming in so i can make things more authentic
Note: at the moment, the map layer is loaded via the internet (to keep file size down etc), so you will need an internet connection to view the map, however, if this is an issue for anyone, I can look to invest time in bringing the map and files locally into the game exe.
Colour coding by divisionEach league tier has its own pin colour.

Live tables apply to your division only. Lower or higher tiers do not have simulated weekly standings on the map yet.
Map availability depends on your nation. Playable nations show the full map; nations marked as coming soon show a placeholder instead.
Your position chip stays in the preview header for a quick glance, while the standings snippet adds context about who is above and below in the table.

Ban — zero tolerance. Stewards confiscate flares at the turnstiles. No pyro bursts, no FA risk.
Tolerate — turn a blind eye. The ultras will test the line. Small reputation hit, occasional fines, mixed fan reaction.
Encourage — signal the ultras it is on. Big atmosphere, but the FA will notice. Higher fine risk and casual fans may push back.
Comic-style pyro bursts pop up around the stands during home games (think BOOM, KABOOM, smoke on the terrace).
Bursts come with sound and land at key moments in the match.
The louder your pyro stance, the more the ultras love you. Casual fans may not.
Encouraging pyro needs FAB consultation before you flip it on.
League fines can land and there is a cooldown before the next one.
Your fan groups react differently: ultras gain mood, reputation takes a hit, and the inbox may fill up.
Ban all — chants, claps, and normal crowd noise only.
Vuvuzelas — a buzzing wall of plastic horns. Huge identity, divisive in the family stand.
Horns — old-school terrace horns cutting through tense spells.
Whistles — a hostile whistle bank that rattles visitors and refs alike.
Drums — rhythm section for the ultras. Lifts chants without annoying casuals as much.
Shakers — light percussion for a friendlier matchday buzz.
Air horns — short, aggressive blasts. Ultras love them. Everyone else winces.
Each option shows what it does to ultras, hardcore, and casual fans.
Hit the preview button to hear what you are signing off on before you commit.
Your ultras already have a preferred noisemaker based on your club DNA. Match their pick and they are happier.
Vuvuzelas and air horns need FAB consultation before approval, same as full pyro.
Approved noisemakers play live during home matches at key moments.
Your post-match Terrace songs recap notes which noisemaker was active and whether it matched what the ultras wanted.
Fans → Terrace pyro policy — pick ban, tolerate, or encourage and see what happens over a few home games.
Fans → Fan noisemaker policy — preview the options, then allow one that fits your club (or ban everything and play it safe).
After your next home fixture, check the atmosphere recap under Terrace songs to see how pyro and noisemakers shaped the day.
Hey everyone,
This first update that we managed to squeeze in just before launch is the first pass / iteration of making your home end feel like yours. You can now design supporter displays, schedule them for big home games, and watch terrace songs roll across the pitch as matches play out.Block tifos — paint your own terrace display on a colour grid using your club colours. Add a slogan, name it, and save it to your library.
Layer tifos — a more advanced builder. Drop in your club crest, player portraits, icons, and headline text to put together a proper stand display.
Ultras flags — design pole flags with your colours and slogans, then pick which ones wave on matchday.
Schedule a tifo and up to four flags for your next home fixture.
Choose when it reveals (kickoff is the default).
When you play the match, your display shows on the north stand with flags along the sides.
You can store up to 8 tifos and 6 flags.
Hit Ask ultras and they may come to you with display ideas.
Approve or reject their requests, then turn approved ideas into new designs.
Build a text pool of terrace slogans your supporters can pull from.
Terrace banners pop up around the pitch as the game moves.
Songs react to what is happening: the score, the opponent, your manager, club legends, rivalries, and how loud the crowd is.
Home and away both get terrace noise. Away ends feel hostile when you are on the road.
Banners appear from different stands so the ground feels alive, not flat.
Open Fans → Terrace songs for a full atmosphere recap.
See your match rating, terrace mood, and the top chants from that game.
Track season favourites and most sung songs across the campaign.
Keep an eye on rivalry watch to see which fixtures are heating up the terrace.
Fans → Supporter visuals — build your first tifo and schedule it for your next home game.
Play that fixture and watch your display go up at kickoff.
After full time, check Fans → Terrace songs for the atmosphere breakdown.
