Roguelike Mode is a new additional mode. Each run is a fresh start where you pick an upgrade each level up and try to beat Day 7, or push into Endless mode. It's available right now from the main menu. Since it's experimental, we'd love your feedback and a massive thank you to everyone who played the beta on Discord <3

One month of Fishing Inc! Massive thanks for all the support, reviews, and bug reports. We are still blown away by how many people are playing and enjoying the game <3 This patch focuses on quality of life improvements and bug fixes. For people asking about new content, it's in development and we'll have more to share on that soon :)
-> Price Formatting: Replaced scientific notation in some prices with proper currency formatting
-> Rarity Display in Map Selection: You can now see which rarities you've caught for each zone straight from the zones screen.
-> Fish Tracker Accuracy: Tweaked the fish tracker to show more accurate values

We're in the final steps of getting Steam Cloud shipped! Since we haven't had a chance to test it on Steam Deck yet, we have opened a public beta branch first rather than pushing the update out to everyone.
To help us test the new save system, you can opt in to the beta branch by: Right-Clicking Fishing Inc in your Steam Library -> Properties -> Game Versions & Betas -> Select "SteamCloudBeta"
If you run into any issues, please let us know on the Discord. And if it works fine for you, that's also really helpful to hear. After confirming the save system works great for everyone, we will push this to the main branch.
As we can't currently test this on Steam Deck. If any Steam Deck players are willing to share feedback that would be a massive help.

Thanks again for all the support and bug reports. Quick patch today focusing on some quality of life fixes. We are still testing it, but the Steam Cloud patch should be released tomorrow as its own patch!
-> Cast Through Summary Panel: You can now cast through the Caught Fish summary panel that appears after catching a fish. If you hover over, it will fade out and let you cast in the left side of screen without needing to wait for it to disappear.
-> High FPS menu incident: fixed the issue where the menu scene was rendering at very very high frame rates. For some reason the settings panels frame restrictions were not kicking in
-> VSync Added: Added VSync as framerate option in settings panel
-> Localisation Overflow: Fixed instances of text overflowing for several languages.
-> Resolution & Window Size: Fixed issues with incorrect resolution and window sizing
-> Fish Habitat Corrections: Some fish didn't have correct spots where they can be caught, so that has been fixed now (Puffer fish now has a hot spot!)
-> Achievement Sounds: Claiming achievements now plays a sound effect

Massive thanks for the continuous support and feedback! We're still blown away by the amount of people playing and sharing our game <3 We've had a lot of questions about save files and Steam Cloud. This is currently our main focus and by next patch there will be a save system in place allowing you to continue your playthrough across multiple devices! We're also looking into allowing the user to close the summary panel that pops up on the left side of the screen after catching a fish.
-> Rarity Selection: After completing the main story, you can now select which rarities you want to catch. (You can fully finish the fish log during the end game!)
-> Auto Click Toggle: Also after completing the main story, you can toggle your auto clicks on and off. This means you can now get the Last Chance achievement during end game
-> Fish Tracker Order: The entries in the fish tracker now have an ordered position showing the user which fish they are most likely to catch.
-> Fish Tracker Tooltip: Hovering over the fish tracker now causes a tooltip to spawn explaining how the fish tracker works.
-> Missing Translation: Added missing localisation for Mandarin and Portuguese
-> Russian Font Issues: Fixed unreadable styling to Russian font after catching a fish
-> Wrong Font Styling: Fixed the font styling in the end of game screen

We are a two person team, but we are reading all the feedback and acting on it as fast as we can. Thanks for all the feedback on the demo! We noticed a few of you were getting bugs at the Ocean Trench or having trouble with the Skill Tree, so we prioritized getting those fixed immediately. If you find any more bugs or have ideas for new skills, let us know on our Discord!
-> Ocean Trench Unlocked: Fixed a bug where the Ocean Trench would keep lock itself after a fishing trip. You can now fish it without any issues!
-> Skill Tree Responsiveness: Resolved an issue where the Skill Tree would become unresponsive or freeze.
-> Water Rendering: Fixed a visual bug where water ripples were rendering under the reflections. The water should look much more nicer now.
-> Feedback Button: We’ve added a button in game that links directly to a Google Form. You can now fill out the form and leave your feedback!
-> UI Scaling: Fixed various canvas scaling issues. Menus should now look correct regardless of your screen resolution or aspect ratio.
-> Summary Panel Update: We’ve cleaned up the pop up that appears when a fish levels up. Instead of showing raw percentage increases (e.g., "+2.5% Epic"), we now use clear symbols (like "++ Epic")
-> General Polish: We’ve done a pass on the overall UI and enhanced the level visuals to make the environments pop a bit more.
-> End of Demo Screen: Polished up the final screen so hitting the end of the current content feels a lot nicer.
-> Hold to Reel: We added a hint text reminder that you can Hold Left Click to reel in fish. (Save your fingers, you don't need to spam click!)
-> Skill Descriptions: Fixed an incorrect description for the "Perfect Cast" skill in the tree. It now accurately reflects what the skill does. -Big Bonk Studio
Thanks for all the feedback on the demo lately! It’s been great seeing what you all think. If you want to leave a suggestion or a bug report, definitely head over to the Discord. This update is focused on adding a bit more strategy to the fishing and smoothing out the overall "feel" of the game.
-> Casting Influence: Where you cast now affects the fish you will catch. Different fish species prefer different areas of the pond. (Check the fish log descriptions where to find specific fish!)
-> Hold to Reel: No more excessive clicking if you don't want to! You can now hold down the Left Mouse Button to continuously reel in fish.
-> New Map Selection UI: We’ve overhauled the pond selection screen to make traveling between fishing spots smoother and more visual.
-> New VFX: Added new visual effects that scale with your clicking rate. The faster you reel, the more intense the action looks.
-> Enhanced Multi-Catch Visibility: Improved the indicators for Double and Triple catches so you can clearly see when you've caught multiple fish.
-> Skill Tree Clarity: Added hint text to the Skill Tree and clearer communication for when the Autohook skill triggers.
-> Smooth Transitions: Added new scene transitions to make moving between the lobby and the ponds feel more seamless.
-> Dialogue Improvements: Added new dialogue lines and fixed a bug where dialogue boxes would occasionally fail to appear.
-> We now have an official creator group on Steam! Steam Group Make sure to Follow us there to stay updated on our future projects and the full release of this game. -Big Bonk Studio
Hello everyone! First of all, thank you everyone for checking out the demo!
We've been going over the feedback and focused on smoothing out the gameplay experience and fixing some annoying bugs in this update. Here is what we have changed:
-> Reduced the cost for click power to speed up the gameplay and reduce stagnation points
-> Increased the Money Values of the fish in “Rapid Streams”
-> Reduced the clicks needed for the fish in “Rapid Streams”
-> Added a Hint Text to help with clarity if the player have not started fishing for a while
-> Passive Clicks Now show up with a blue hue
-> Passive Clicks start applying clicks straight away not after 1 second
-> Inventory bug fixed where it disappears on hover.
-> Fixed visual tile seams bug for certain screen sizes. This causes lines between tiles when fishing
-> Updated rock sprites
-> Fixed UI instances where text overflowed out of certain panels and buttons
What's Next? We are continuing to work on fixing bugs. Beyond that, we are focused on the Full Release - preparing more polish, content, and new features to make the game best we can.
If you find any more bugs or have suggestions, please let us know in the Community Hub or our Discord.
