For a long time, 3D Gaussian Splatting existed mainly in research papers, experimental projects, and online tech demos. Through our efforts, 3DGS is no longer just something you watch in a video—it has become part of a real FPS that players can explore, control, and fight in.

To bring 3DGS into an actual game, we had to overcome challenges including real-time rendering performance, scene loading, visual stability, camera movement, and integration with FPS gameplay. After continuous development and optimization, FIRESTATE now features a real-time 3DGS rendering solution designed for playable game environments.

In FIRESTATE, you will experience:

• High-fidelity environments built with 3DGS technology;

• First-person spaces where you can move, explore, and fight freely;

• A true combination of real-time 3DGS rendering and FPS gameplay;

We are currently in ongoing communication with relevant parties and Steam to complete all procedures required for restoring the store page. Game development proceeds as normal. We will notify everyone immediately once a firm restoration timeline is confirmed.

Hello everyone, I’ve got some sudden bad news to share with you all.

We were right on the verge of launching our game today when the developers of Bodycam filed a DMCA takedown notice without any prior communication with me. Their claim is that our game bears similarities to their title.

Steam has not ruled that we committed copyright infringement. However, under U.S. DMCA regulations, platforms are legally obligated to temporarily hide a game once they receive a compliant takedown notice—otherwise, they face secondary liability. As a result, our game can no longer be found on Steam for the time being.

As soon as this happened, I reached out to them via Discord and their official email hoping to sit down and resolve this through negotiation, yet I have not received any response to this day.

To be honest, I’m heartbroken and completely lost right now. This project is something I poured over a year of solo work into. It never even got the chance to officially release to all of you before being taken down over a single complaint from their side, and I’m having an extremely hard time coming to terms with it.

That said, there is some good news: I’ve consulted a legal attorney, who advised us that we have a very strong case. Please trust me when I say I will do absolutely everything in my power to resolve this matter, and the game will be back online for everyone very soon.

Lastly, I’d like to ask a huge favor: if anyone here knows anyone on the Bodycam development team and could help facilitate a conversation between us, please reach out to me.

Today, I opened Steam and saw that my game, Bodycam On Record, had reached #1 on the Upcoming FPS Games chart.

Honestly, I still can’t believe it.

After graduating, I turned down offers from major game companies because I didn’t want to work on cash-grab mobile games. Instead, I chose to pursue the kind of game I genuinely wanted to make.

The past few years haven’t been easy. My career didn’t go as planned, and there were countless moments when I questioned whether I had made the right choice.

But seeing this result today made me feel that perhaps all those years of persistence are finally about to pay off.

Of course, this is only an upcoming-games ranking. Whether the game can truly succeed and earn players’ recognition will depend on what happens after release. But for this moment, I want to let myself celebrate.
