You defeated Zagor years ago.
Unfortunately, someone forgot to tell the mountain.
The mountain is open.
The traps are reset.
The monsters are hungry.
And Zagor is feeling a little neglected.
The Steam page for Return to Firetop Mountain is now live, and the legendary Warlock would very much appreciate your wishlist. He's spent decades rebuilding his dungeon, restocking his treasure chests, and convincing goblins to return to work after a rather unfortunate incident involving a certain adventurer.
The least you can do is click a button!
For those brave enough to return, Return to Firetop Mountain revisits the most famous dungeon in Fighting Fantasy history and was the the 50th FF release in the original Puffin publication run, back in 1992. Featuring the stunning cover art of Les Edwards and atmospheric illustrations by Martin McKenna, this is a journey back to the mountain that started it all.
Will you survive the perils of Firetop Mountain once again?
More importantly...
Will Zagor survive the disappointment if you don't wishlist it?
Wishlist Return to Firetop Mountain today and help awaken an ancient evil.

So sharpen your sword, steady your nerves, and get ready to take that first step into the darkness once more.
The mountain is waiting...
⚔️ FROM ALLANSIA TO THE 41ST MILLENNIUM… ⚔️
Fans of Fighting Fantasy, we’ve got something special for you.
Legacy of Dorn: Herald of Oblivion has returned to Steam as part of the Warhammer Classics event and it comes from none other than Jonathan Green, one of the legendary writers behind many Fighting Fantasy adventures.
If you’ve enjoyed battling your way through Allansia, testing your luck, and making life-or-death decisions… imagine that same gamebook intensity transported into the grim darkness of the far future.
This is Fighting Fantasy… with boltguns.
A brutal, choice-driven adventure set aboard a Space Hulk, where every decision counts and survival is never guaranteed. It’s a must-play for fans of Jonathan Green’s work, and anyone who craves a darker, deadlier challenge.
For Dorn. For Terra. For the Emperor. 🛡️🔥
A new adventure slithers into the Fighting Fantasy Classics library!
Sharpen your swords, steady your nerve, and maybe pack a spare pair of socks, because Scorpion Swamp has officially arrived as the latest DLC gamebook for Fighting Fantasy Classics!
And yes - before anyone asks - this swampy, monster-packed romp is written by the other Steve Jackson.
Not that Steve Jackson (co-creator of Fighting Fantasy).
We mean Steve Jackson of Steve Jackson Games fame - the legendary mind behind GURPS, Munchkin, Ogre, and all sorts of tabletop mischief.
Scorpion Swamp is a wonderfully free-roaming, go-where-you-like style adventure filled with deadly wildlife, weird wizards, magical rings, mysterious quests… Choose one of three patrons - Good, Evil, or Neutral, and head into the mire. Explore, map, survive, and probably step in something unpleasant.
Steam and Studio Ephua is currently running the Choose Wisely Festival, celebrating branching stories, gamebooks, narrative adventures and all things decision-driven. Which makes it the perfect moment for a trip into a swamp that absolutely will judge your choices.
To mark the occasion, many titles in the Fighting Fantasy Classics library are now on sale! If you've been waiting to fill out your collection — or revisit some 80s gamebook chaos — now’s the time.
Grab Scorpion Swamp, choose your quest, and set off into the mist. And remember: If the ring starts to feel warm… maybe don’t go that way.

CHALICE, MOONSTONE HILLS – In breaking news, local authorities have confirmed that the sealed tomb of infamous necromancer Razaak has been "accidentally disturbed" by an as-yet-unidentified group of amateur adventurers, gold-diggers, or possibly drunk hedge wizards.
The fissure — described as “smelling like rotting ambition and burnt toast” — reportedly erupted with foul vapours and a skeletal hand flipping off a passing Giant Eagle. One Elf barely survived the encounter, and is now recovering at the Lion Inn on a strict diet of soup, grog, and trauma therapy.
“It’s exactly what I warned people about,” muttered reclusive wizard and known herb enthusiast Yaztromo. “You let one idiot open a cursed sarcophagus 110 years early and boom — there goes the kingdoms.”
The undead crisis, dubbed "CryptStorm" by local media, has sparked panic-buying of healing potions, talismans, and pre-owned swords. The Allansia Weather Bureau has also issued a Grim Forecast Warning, with plague, pestilence, and possible spectral fog expected to blanket the western provinces “by Thursday.”
Historians confirm Razaak was originally an apprentice of good magic, but switched majors to Evil after discovering it had better dental. His downfall came at the skeletal hands of Kull, a sword enthusiast who unknowingly wielded Razaak’s own cursed blade, and paid for the victory by being instantly reduced to dust and then turned into an unwilling ghost boat captain.
Now, a new hero must rise. Probably you.
