Hi everyone! After a prolonged silence, we want to share some good news. We are once again entering the active phase of development. We are working on interesting mechanics to diversify the gameplay. Let's lift the veil a little. Since the Cossacks were famous for their cunning and ingenuity, we want to convey this through game mechanics. For example, we are developing a system of interaction between characters controlled by the player, which will add more in-depth tactical decisions. We will try to achieve such a result that the interaction of combat units among themselves brings more benefit. But let’s not spoil the dessert and leave it for later. Good news, everyone! We've been thinking for a while what to do after the last big update of Field Hospital and decided... to make a new game! So meet SICH TACTICS {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38057015/6ee74a3d85f0ba8a8fbbfbaa1ce7eefd4559c828.png It is a small turn-based tactics in which you lead a party of Cossacks and fight chorts, muscovites and other unholy spirits of Ukrainian folklore. Indeed, it is very different from Field Hospital, but we've always wanted to make games that we're interested in, experiment and create new things. And we love so many different genres. Sich Tactics, like Field Hospital, is something we do in our free time and for fun. Therefore, you should not expect huge campaigns and stories. We focus on tactical battles and build the game in the rogue-lite paradigm, namely:

• procedural generation,
• variety of mechanics, opponents and game situations,
• progression between runs in the form of new classes of Cossacks

It's our homeland. In the response to maleficent Russian invasion we already asked Steam support to make Field Hospital unavailable in Russia. Along with that we participate in Ukrainian Indie Games Bundle. There are 11 games from 11 Ukrainian developers. Some of them are safe now. Some are internally displaced. Others are refugees. But there is no one who is not affected by this war. That's why all of the earnings from this bundle are goes directly to developers (minus Steam cut). Most of the developers already announced that money will be donated to Ukraine's Armed Forces, humanitarian and volunteer organizations. Hi everyone! We recently decided to lower the base price of Field Hospital to make it more affordable. In the meantime, we continue to develop the project and we're working on its improvements. We are launching a Chinese localization now. And very soon there will be an update that will help to better unfold the game - this will be the best reason to return to it and play again to see how its plots are connected. If you’ve signed up for beta via Google Form check your email for Steam Key and activate it. After activation (or if you have the game already) follow this simple steps:

Go to your Steam Library

Right-click on Field Hospital: Dr. Taylor's Story and select Properties.

Go to the tab marked Betas.

In the drop-down box, select localization-beta.

Wait for the game to finish updating, you should see the branch name listed after the game name.

In the game you may need to switch language to Simplified Chinese. Click on the Settings and then click on the Language field to switch between languages. Apply your changes.

You are ready to play :) Use the Steam Forum to leave your feedback. You may leave your feedback on localization in the Localization Beta forum. Here are things to look at:

• Localization of texts and terms. You may switch between languages at any time using the Settings menu to check English text for comparison.
• Indents and their absence.
• Commas and dots at the beginning of the line. We are still looking for a solution but it requires some time. If you encounter commas or dots at the beginning of the line please take a screenshot and send us via Steam Forum.
• Fonts size and alignment. If it’s easy to read and understand.
• Anything you think is important to share.

But before releasing it for all players we decided to hold the beta-testing of localization. That’s why we are looking for native speaking players who can help us try and improve it. Today, Ukraine celebrates Constitution Day. • Fixed the bug with the volume of the stamp click sound.
• Music has been adjusted: now in the menu and in calm episodes you won't hear shouts and shots.
• Fixed the bug with the signature sound: now it is played at the beginning of the signing, and not at the end.
• Fixed the bug with the sequence of stamp animations.
• Now the information about the number of beds and requests on the Dr. Taylor's first day is displayed even when skipping tutorial.

Hi everyone! First of all thanks to all of you who played and enjoyed our game. We are happy to read your reviews and watch letsplays. You are great! We'd like to share our plans for upcoming year with you. We are working on a new Campaign with completely new story and characters. It will also have new gameplay features. We want to experiment a bit with game feel and story. Here's quick Q&A: What its gonna be about? It's gonna be a secret for a while. But some of you may probably guess ;) When it will be released? 2021. Seriously. We can't say exact date or even estimated. Field Hospital is our passion project and it takes time to develop. Hi everyone! We've just released Patch 1.04. The most prominent feature it brings is the dialogue window at your second-third playthrough that let you skip tutorial dialogues. It also fixes some bugs like wrong player name description. Also starting from this patch we are testing global statistics feature. Thanks for playing and stay safe!

We've added Progress Saving with Patch 1.03 that was demanded by many of our players. Correct work of default sound settings. We've noticed the game is mute at the first start. Now it is fixed. Turn music on! It's really moody.

Hi everyone! We’ve been dropped off of radars for a while now. So I decided to write this post to share current progress. First, the game is still in active development. It’s not cancelled nor freezed. We’re working on it daily and are close to polishing stage. Almost all texts are written but they require final editing and check before sending to translation. Second, we’re two-guys team working on the game in our free time. We both have regular jobs and Field Hospital is our passion project. This implies that we have limited time and capacity to work on it. This is the reason we can’t afford enough time for marketing and PR activities. That’s why we don’t want to rush its release but to make it as good as we can. That takes us to... Third, Field Hospital is a small game. Please, don’t expect too much. There are 37 characters, most of them are interconnected and share common story, some are independent. We design stories the way that everyone may find something personal among them. There is no placeholder character in the game that’s why their number is limited. Field Hospital is more narrative-driven rather than mechanics-oriented and gameplay is just a tool to explore stories and to make choices matter. The game is short but rely on non-linearity and replayability. Fourth, we want the game to be as accessible as possible so we developed a localization pipeline for Field Hospital. It will be available in English, Russian and Ukrainian at release. We’re planning to translate it to other languages in several stages after release. First stage will include French, German and Spanish. Other languages will come after. We want to thank everyone who wishlisted the game.
