Roaming Mount Dealer The Roaming Mount Dealer will be on the move next week with the release of King's Keep! The Miner Collective have a surplus of Driller Tanks! But like every Miner they like their gold... Start saving up as this Driller Tank will be sold for 100M Gold!

King's Keep launching July 17th!

Hey everyone! Dino here with a quick update about the release date of King's Keep! We were originally planning on releasing it on July 3rd but due to some personal reasons we'll be delaying the launch to July 17th. Can't wait to see all of you inside the castle on July 17th!

The Gemster's Vending Machine For the next two months the Gemster has rolled his vending machine out from storage to bring you boxes with a return year of 2026! The machine will be a new NPC located in the Gemster's Shop and New Crab City giving you the chance to grab old boxes and single items from the Gemster's collection!

Surfside Shores is on the Horizon! Get ready for the return of Surfside Shores on June 12th! King's Keep The castle that sits silently in New Crab City will open in gates in July! This zone will take place in progression after Hidden Reef and will be the first zone to require you to be level 100 to enter. With a place that requires a level so high, the treasures within will be worth it! We can't wait for you to discover the secrets of the castle, claim its treasure and meet the King! Dance, Dance, Dance! Look's like we'll be getting our grove on come June as the Dance Floor won the June Subscription Item Vote! This will be a leg item and is one of our first attempts to make more "interesting" leg items! You'll be able to get your hands on this item come June 1st UTC.

Gemster Update The Gemster has received a new item and box! We're also looking to bring boxes and items back more regularly as we try to keep the Gemster's Shop fresh! Here is a preview of the Royal Knight Box and Gas Mask!

Fiesta of Flavor Update

As we get closer and closer to the end of our fiesta I have noticed that the goal we set was way too high especially considering how Guacamole is a crafted item and not just something you collect. The community goal will be changed from 50,000 to 10,000! We also added a new NPC called the Super Guac Crafter that allows you to craft 8 Bowl of Guacamole at a time!

Hidden Reef is here! The reef has been opened for you to explore! Head over to the Temple of Lost Souls south of the Sea Snake to enter! Get your hands on new implants, weapons, shields, outfits, faction gear and much more! Coraled and Brined Weapons A new way to enhance your Envenomed weapons has been discovered! Take on the Sea King, claim its essence and grab an ore of your choice to turn your weapon into something new! The coral and salt variants provide you with different options to further enhance your arsenal in new ways!

Golden Implants Get to fighting the Snail King to claim its golden shell and use this to further enhance your implants you gathered in Infested Undercity!

Reef Renegades A powerful faction has been discovered hiding within the reef! Claim the new Medallion, Banner and Crest Faction Items to target Strength and Intellect stats along with a little Crit! There has also been a change to the Faction Outfit items. There are 3 of them to collect by killing mobs and one for purchase at the faction shop. Who will be the first to hit max faction and roll around with the "Shark in the Water" mount?

New Skills The time has come to upgrade your Self Motivated, Nerd Rage, Thick Skin and l33t Skillz to the next level! Head over to Skill Trainer SEAn's to buy them... they're not cheap so bring lots of coins!

Celestial Crafting New weapons, offhands, and a cape! You know what that means? New outfit items to make. Take a Celestial Gem and the standard versions of the item, mix them together, and boom! A new outfit item is born.

Pets, Pets, Pets! With the addition of new base skills we also added 4 new pets to collect along with their Uber versions. There's a pet for every stat type and some of them are pretty cute! Take on Seahorse, Goldfish, Tortoises, and Anglerfish to get your hands on them!

Mining in Hidden Reef The reef is a true reef with clusters of mining veins for you to find. Some clusters can even have 6 veins in an area! This is a new approach to mining and the constant running from vein to far away vein. This should make mining for Coral and Salt much easier!

Closing Notes This has been a super fun zone to work on and adapt as a late game zone. The tileset itself was something I took a long time messing with the bring some life to the plants and that true feeling of being underwater. Crablands Mob Nerf There are now less mobs to kill per Dungeon run and they have less HP. This should help with completion times and overall feel of the zone! Let us know what you think about the changes.

Fiesta Incoming! The Fiesta of Flavor is coming back next week with the release of Hidden Reef. This will be a community based event awarding a new Avocado themed item!

Hidden Reef Reminder! Make sure you're over level 96 before you try to dive into the reef on May 1st! How will I get into Hidden Reef? There will be a new teleport located in the southeast corner of Temple of Lost Souls!

Infested Under City is here!

Climb down into the crypt using the entrance above the church in New Crab City. It's your job to save the Undercity from the monsters that lurk within and discover all of its secrets! This has been one of the most fun zones to work on from the map rework, new mobs, new story and new loot! I hope you all enjoy this zone! -Dino Echoes of the Crypt Within the Crypt rests the first great king of New Crab City, King Clawrence the First, and his trusted few who protected the city years ago. The Crypt walls have been broken down by the creatures that live in the Undercity, and in doing so, they have awakened the Echoes of King Clawrence the First and the first great Archmage, Tiamat, Colossus, and Paladin.

Agile, Wise, Stout, and Brutal Subclass Books and Rings Infested Undercity introduces the ability to tailor your Books and Rings into more hybrid versions of themselves. For example, the Wise Tiamat Book gives 5k Armor, 55 AGI, 55 INT, and 5 Crit. These items are craftable and require boss drops and a new mineable material called Toxic Goop. You will also get your original Tier 5 Book or Ring back so you don't need to make a bunch of Tier 5 books and rings! 

Shadows

Infested Undercity holds many secrets and one of those is a powerful Warlock. He's used his powers to turn heroes of the past into Shadow versions. Will you fight them, run away or turn them into outfits???

Like the Shadows?

Every day King Clawrence will offer you a quest to receive a Shadow Essence that you can mold with your Tier 5 Armor and Weapons! Creating a Shadow outfit version of the item and returning the original Tier 5 piece back to you.

Ultimate Skills

These skills are locked behind some hard work and determination! You'll need to work side by side with the Echoes in the crypt to get your hands on these skills!

Tiamat's Retribution - Deal 90,000 Damage.

Archmage's Wisdom - Gain 3,500 Energy every 3 seconds for 30 seconds.

Boon of Colossus - Heals you for 20,000 HP every 5 seconds and absorbs 50% of incoming damage for 30 seconds.

Absorbing damage does not stack.

Paladin's Judgement - Gain 65,000 Attack Power for 30 seconds.

Drain Dwellers Faction A new faction awaits you within the sewers... the Drain Dwellers! Those that walk among the sludge and call this place home. Get your hands on these new items focusing on Strength and Agility.

Toxic Goop A new minable resource has arrived with Infested Undercity, Toxic Goop! You'll need Toxic Goop to craft your Subclass Books, Rings and other secrets! Here is an updated preview of the minable node and resource items!

Fortify A new way for Stamina players to block that incoming damage! Fortify 1, located in ToLS, absorbs 25% of incoming damage and Fortify 2, located in IU, absorbs 33% of incoming damage!

New Guild Items Two new guild items can now be purchased in New Crab City at the Guild Hall!

Love, Loss and Loot and The Great Egg Hunt The Valentine's day event has left for the year but next on the table is The Great Egg Hunt coming April 4th! You'll need to solve riddles to help you locate hidden eggs. There will be two quest givers this time round - one in Mirabella Cove and one in New Crab City. The Mirabella Cove NPC will have you hunt eggs anywhere from Noob Island to Frozen North and the NPC in New Crab City will have you hunt from Crablantis all the way into the Infested Undercity. Infested Undercity Hey everyone! Dino here with an update on Infested Undercity and its release date! The doors to the Infested Undercity will open to all players above level 90 on March 7th UTC (00:00 in-game time)! Now let’s preview a few things coming with the zone!

Echoes of the Crypt Within the Crypt rests the first great king of New Crab City, King Clawrence the First, and his trusted few who protected the city years ago. The Crypt walls have been broken down by the creatures that live in the Undercity, and in doing so, they have awakened the Echoes of King Clawrence the First and the first great Archmage, Tiamat, Colossus, and Paladin. It’s your job to complete tasks for them to keep the Crypt safe and stop the creatures from escaping into New Crab City!

Agile, Wise, Stout, and Brutal Subclass Books and Rings Infested Undercity will also introduce the ability to tailor your Books and Rings into more hybrid versions of themselves. For example, the Wise Tiamat Book would give 5k Armor, 55 AGI, 55 INT, and 4 Crit. These items will be craftable and will require boss drops and a new mineable material called Toxic Goop.

New Relics The Pearl Necklace (level 30), Crab War Drum (level 60), and the Crusader Claw (level 90). The Crusader Claw, just like Blackbeard's Spyglass, can be enhenced with an NPC in the Guild Warfare Hub. These ones target Intellect as the main stat with options to craft versions with additional Agility, Strength or Stamina points! Head over to the Guild Warfare Hub to enhance your Crusader Claws!

You do not need to be in a Guild to participate in Guild Warfare! However, joining a Guild gives you the opportunity to dominate Guild Warfare zones and earn Guild-wide bonuses.

Guild Warfare runs on a weekly schedule.

The first week of Guild Warfare will start at: Friday, Jan 30 @ 4:00 PM PST

It will end at: Friday, Feb 6 @ 4:00 PM

During this week, all players will have access to the first Guild Warfare dungeons. Enemies in Guild Warfare dungeons grant Guild Warfare XP. Players who are in a Guild will contribute this XP toward their Guild’s Guild Warfare level. The Guild with the highest Guild Warfare level will dominate the currently active Guild Warfare zones.

At the end of the active week, the Guild with the highest Guild Warfare level will dominate the current Guild Warfare zones for one week. During the following dominated week, these zones will be locked and cannot be entered. The active phase will then reopen the next week, allowing Guilds to compete again for domination.

Dominating a set of Guild Warfare dungeons will grant Guild wide bonuses. These bonuses can include XP Bonus, Faction XP Bonus, Coin Drop Bonus, and Stat Point Bonus.

The first set of Guild Warfare dungeons includes Crablands Easy, Medium, and Hard.

Now let's talk about the Guild Warfare Hub and Crablands Dungeon! The Guild Warfare Hub was designed as a physical gathering space where guild members can meet up before diving into the Guild Warfare Dungeon. The hub allows us to centralize all things that go on with Guild Warfare and the dungeons including Guild Warfare Leaderboard, Guild Warfare Player Leaderboard, Weekly Dungeon quests, and Crafters. Overtime, we can add more dungeon entrances, quests, crafters, etc to really bring this area to life!

The Crablands and the Shellborne Legion. When brainstorming this zone it originally started as "let's make a crab dungeon that counters Crab Coast". It quickly turned into a war against the Crab Crusaders and their higher faction, Order of the Claw, vs a group of defectors calling themselves the Shellborne Legion. The map started as an island but felt that it needed more of a "climb" feeling so we went with a path leading from the beach up to the top of a hill. While running up the hill you encounter large groups of mobs, war bunkers and alone at the top a command post holding the leader of the Shellborne Legion. This was a lot of fun to make and a huge shout out to Arc for all his hard work creating this map!

The zone was great and the idea was sound but now it needed just a touch more. Why was the Shellborne Legion made? What did their leader have against the Crab Crusaders? When there are bad guys there are usually good guys, right? That's how the Order of the Claw was created! The Order of the Claw contains the highest ranking members of the Crab Crusaders and not all were fond of this group. A General, who had been denied entry into the Order time and time again, recruited a rag tag group of crabs and set out to start their own militia... and just like that... a war was born! A special thanks to Crusha for kicking off some design concepts for the crabs!

In the future we're looking to add other dungeons to Guild Warfare! A remastered version of Hidden Reef, a brand new area called Jurassic Jungle and one more that is still in the early concept stage!

And that covers most of the new version of Guild Warfare. The next patch notes will detail all the new items available for the new faction.

Guild Warfare Preview 2

We've been making A LOT of progress on Guild Warfare and its first dungeon, The Crablands! Below is a preview of how the warfare will function and how you and your guild can pull off the victory!

How does it work? You and your team will load into either Easy, Medium or Hard versions of the Crablands Guild Warfare Dungeon. Inside this dungeon you'll fight your way through tough mobs with and without buffs and aggro. You'll notice a new light red number above your head on mob death! That is your Guild Warfare XP and is what raises your Guild's level and determines victory! Each mob gives this new XP and mini bosses and bosses give a lot more! Compete to make sure that your guild is on top, secures victory over others, and claims unique buffs for the next month!

Order of the Claw Faction

The Order of the Claw is the inner circle within the Crab Crusaders and has called upon you to cleanse the Crablands, the new Guild Warfare Dungeon, of defectors calling themselves the Shellborne Legion. Their leader, the Shellborne General, used to command the Crab Crusaders military but after many disputes with the Order of the Claw they left to form their own regime. Now's your time to shine and join their ranks! Level up your faction rank to get your hands on some new powerful faction items and unlock achievements along the way!

The Broker is essentially the Market but in reverse!

To use the Broker, head on over to New Crab City and click on the Broker npc.

The sell tab lets you search through buy orders and fulfill them if you have the item. If you sell an item it will be removed from your inventory and you will receive the price via in-game mail.

The buy tab let's you search through all collectible items and offer a price for that item.

The price + fee is the total cost to create a buy order. In the future, I will be adding better filtering controls for searching the collectible item database.

Once a buy order is created, it is shown in the buy tab on the left. If you cancel a buy order, the price + fee will be returned to you. If someone fulfills your buy order, the Broker will keep the fee and send you the item via in-game mail.

What is this good for? Let's run through an example.

Example: I want to have every outfit item in the game.

I first open the Collector and sort by missing items and type outfit. I decide hey I'd like the item Big Red.

I then close the Collector and open the Broker. I type in big red and poof there it is. I check the tooltip for the Market median and last sold price and decide I want to pay 500,000 coins.

And poof there it is. A buy order ready to be filled. I can now just let it sit and hope someone fills it or I can go on http://discord.gg/fantasyonline2 and say hey fill my order please!

And that's the Broker! On to Guild Warfare!

Guild Warfare Dungeons Preview Gamer and I have been working on the ground work for Guild Warfare via Guild Warfare Dungeons. This is a work in progress so if you have any ideas or feedback let us know!

Overview In these dungeons you earn Guild Warfare XP from killing mobs, bosses and collecting Guild Warfare Tokens to increase you Guild Warfare Level/Rank. This level/rank is what will determine the winner at the end of the warfare window. Guild Warfare Tokens Guild Warfare Tokens are items you collect via quests within the dungeon. Winter Update

Holiday Isle is back! Holiday Isle is here once again! This time round there is no yearly exclusive but a new community event to complete within the zone! Collect Gingerbread Cookies for Mrs. Claus and get rewarded with some cool new outfit items! These items will not be around next year but will return the year after in 2027.

Isle of Coal Froctopus found out they were on Santa's Naughty List and didn't take kindly to that. He erupted in angry and shed the frozen layer holding him back revealing his true molten form. He's out to destroy the once peaceful Holiday Isle and make sure everyone knows what it feels like to only get coal for the holidays!

Snowboarding Pass The all new Snowboarding Battle Pass has arrived! Along with this new pass a refreshed Winter Battle Pass has returned! These reward changes will not affect the outfit items.

Mob Tab Achievements All mobs in the core progression maps now have a Mob Tab Achievement! You might be asking yourself "what's a Mob Tab Achievement and how do I unlock them?". To unlock these achievements you'll need to collect all the drops that a mob has to offer! Once you've collected all of them you'll receive your achievement! Some of these achievements will be completed with ease while others may require lots of time and effort as some mobs have 1/1000 drop rate items. Good luck on slaying mobs and collecting their loot!

Nude Mount Head over to the Nude Shop to purchase the Nude Mount for 20 gems! This is an outfit slot item and fill hide your Mount from view.

Mount Speed Update I've changed all high tier mounts to have a 35 speed bonus! The goal with this is to create a more level playing field for high tier mounts. Holiday Isle Holiday Isle makes its return on December 5th! This time round it will be free to all players to enter! Help Santa with some quests, thaw Froctopus and open some early presents! Cookies for Claus Mrs. Claus relaxed a little too much this offseason hanging out in Surfside Shores. It's now our job to help collect enough cookies so she can feed the elves and keep them happy! 

This will be our first community collection event in FO2! You'll need to head to Holiday Isle (level 40 to enter), collect Gingerbread Cookies and bring them to Mrs. Claus for sweet rewards! You'll obtain rewards at 250, 500 and 1000 donated and if the community can collect a grand total of 500,000 cookies you will all receive a community reward!

Cole Lector wandered over from the Haunted Forest and is asking for more items to add to his collection. Help them with their collection and get your hands on Darkness' Halo! This item will return every year so if you don't get it this year you'll have a chance next year as well! However, there is going to be a new exclusive Mount... The Pumpcrawler! Locate the item drops and quest reward needed to craft the first ever Exclusive Mount.

New Crab City The big city is here and better than ever! Take a stroll over to the market square, church, castle cates, stables or barracks to uncover new mobs, npcs, quests and much more! This zone was so much fun to make since it didn't really have much going on in the original! Adding new mobs and story to the zone helped bring it to life and make it feel like a true city. I hope you all enjoy it!

Mounts The time has come to climb upon your horse and ride into battle!!! Head over to the stables in the bottom left of NCC to get your hands on a horse today! Also... rumor has it there is a roaming mount dealer hiding somewhere just waiting to be found!

Quarter Horse, Arabian Horse and Friesian Horse all give you +20 movement speed. 

Pegasus gives you +35 movement speed but comes at a high cost.

New Crab Guard Faction The city streets run wild with creatures and enemies alike. It's your job to clean it up and reap the rewards! Speaking of faction rewards, the New Crab Guard introduces the first faction based Mount for hitting Venerated!

New Skills and Reckless Strike Rank 5 NCC introduces some new skills to add to your skillbook! Rapid Fire - sacrifice Crit chance for faster Attack Speed and Attack Power. Fragile Fury - sacrifice Armor for Attack Power. Trade Off - sacrifice HP for Energy Regen. Reckless Strike - an old skill getting a new rank! Dealing damage to the user while doing raw damage and Hate damage.

Hair? Check! Eyes? Check! Skin? Check! Looks like the Hairstylists and Surgeons have been hitting the books and learning new tricks just for you! To the West, the hairstylist! She has lots of new designs and colors to choose from. Special thanks to Alyssa for all your work on the hair!

To the East, the surgeons! They haven't had any patients since Noob Island so they took some time to head back to school and sharpen their skills! The Advanced Cosmetic Surgeon offers some crazy new body colors to choose from. 

While the Advanced Neuroptic Surgeon has found a way to resize your eyes and recolor them with new colors!

Second Hand Stan Ever wanted to look like the icons of FO? Zutroy? The Collector? The Gemster? Well now you can! Second Hand Stan may have done some shady stuff to acquire these new outfit pieces but you don't need to know those details! Check his shop out in the market square in NCC!

Lydia's Fight Line Shop Head to the market square in NCC to get your hands on new Fight Lines! These new lines include Iron. Silver, Unobtainium, Coral, Salt and Soul!

What's a Fight Line? The Fight Line is the line that is drawn on the ground visually connecting you to the mob you're fighting. Buying one of the colors and equipping it will overwrite the standard red color Fight Line.

Dr. Brewster's Bigger Brews Dr. Brewster has been working hard in the lab and finally found a way to bottle all that Double Player XP, Faction XP and Battle Pass XP into bigger bottles! These pots give you double xp for 2 hours! Check him out in the market square in NCC.

Butterflies Fluttering butterflies now surround the cherry blossom trees near the NCC castle gates! Another huge shout out to Alyssa! She brought this vibrant iconic area to life with her butterflies! Each one has a new color matching hair clip that drops at a 1/1000. Who will be the first to get all the colors?

Boss Challenges Take on old foes by claiming quests in NCC to kill multiple of one boss. These will reward you with unique outfits items and a ton of XP! These quest NPCs can be found all over NCC with each having a small story to them!

New Battle Pass Introducing the Space Battle Pass! Get your hands on new unique outfits, crafting materials, faction badges, double xp, faction and bp potions, and much more!

The Legacy Battle Pass and Summer Battle Pass will be leaving at this time and replaced with the Space Battle Pass and an updated version of the Fall Battle Pass (The Fall BP update will have the same cosmetics just updates to crafting materials, potions and faction items)

"Overequipping" Gear Overhaul We've seen some suggestion posts recently talking about how "overequipping" gear feels a little off and unrewarding. There are just too many +# to ALL stat options and not enough diversity in how those stats are spread based on the set they come from. So we are making some stat changes to better "balance" these items. Below is a list of the changes.
