Driver Ratings are receiving an update today in the F1® 25: 2026 Season Pack. The new ratings are based on performances from the opening races through to the FORMULA 1 LOUIS VUITTON GRAND PRIX DE MONACO 2026.
In the post, you’ll learn how the ratings have changed for some of the driver legends on the grid, as well as how the rating system works.Link to full blog - https://www.ea.com/games/f1/f1-25/news/f1-25-2026-season-pack-june-driver-ratings-updateWe are investigating a potential issue with the latest Steam Beta client that may cause the game to crash or close during startup. Issue: Some players may experience the game closing or crashing immediately after launch, before the intro video plays. Based on our current testing, switching from the Steam Beta client back to the stable Steam client appears to resolve the issue. Suspected Cause: The issue appears to be linked to the latest Steam Beta update. Affected Steam Client Details
Steam branch: Steam Beta
Steam version: 1780620638
Steam client build date: Fri, Jun 5, 2026, 2:26 AM UTC -08:00
Steam web build date: Thu, Jun 4, 2026, 7:44 PM UTC -08:00
Steam API version: SteamClient023
Workaround: Players experiencing this issue should opt out of the Steam Beta client and return to the Stable Steam client. Additional Notes:
This issue may be related to Steam’s handling or reporting of DLSS Frame Generation, or to the Steam performance monitor overlay.
Because the crash occurs very early in startup, before the intro video plays, it may occur during the initial graphics or overlay setup.
Hey Drivers,
We know how much Co-op Career means to many of you. For some players, sharing a season with a friend is a core part of the F1® experience, and we understand this news will be disappointing.
As we looked at what we could deliver with the F1® 25: 2026 Season Pack, we carefully explored the opportunity to include Co-op Career. Ultimately, our focus had to be on the changes that would have the biggest impact on the new 2026 gameplay experience, including updated regulations, a refreshed driving model, a new circuit, and the arrival of new teams.
Because of that, Co-op Career will not be included in the Season Pack. We know that is not the answer some of you were hoping for, and we do not want to minimize that disappointment. While the mode will not be supported in this update, we are excited for you to experience the changes and additions that help define this new era of Formula 1®.
Looking ahead, in 2027, we will release a new, reimagined EA SPORTS F1 title that looks, feels, and plays differently. We know many of you care deeply about the future of the series, and we look forward to sharing more when the time is right.
Thank you for your passion, your feedback, and for continuing to be part of the F1® community.
-Dmitryi Community Lead for F1®

Updates and stability improvements for AMD FSR™ including improved compatibility with Redstone driver overrides.

Added support for the Cammus C12 wheel & LC100 pedals.
Fixed an issue where altering Brake and Differential settings with a player-mapped button could cause the value to be incorrect.
Fixed an issue in Career modes where selecting "Show Sprint Results" would not show the correct race results.
Fixed an issue is My Team Career where the player could have the incorrect tyre allocation after changing drivers from the previous race weekend.
Fixed an issue in Spectator mode which would cause alignment issues on the timing tower during overtakes.
Fixed an issue in Splitscreen where Player 2's screen would frequently not show rain droplets on the camera.
Fixed an issue in Splitscreen to improve graphical quality of Player 2's screen when using certain Anti-Aliasing settings.
Fixed an issue in Customisation where the "Copy from Another Design" option is not visible if you've only got one other design.
Fixed an issue in Customisation where the "Randomise Design" option did not always create a random design.

A nail-biting conclusion, a new champion crowned, and headline-grabbing stories up and down the grid - the 2025 Formula 1® season was certainly one to remember. In F1® 25, we’re paying tribute to some of the electrifying moments with two Scenario Races making up the top-billing for Season 5 of the game’s live service. Running from January 7 through until March 3, the podium awaits across PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
In what was a monumental year in the sport, F1® 25 Season 5 looks back with two Scenario Race events from a pair of experienced drivers, alongside the refreshed Podium Pass.
Ending a run of 239 race starts without a Podium, Nico Hulkenberg’s performance at the British Grand Prix will no doubt be one he remembers fondly. It was a perfect storm (literally); a successful battling of the elements, an ideal strategy play, and a combination of solid driving and, of course, a little luck. This all resulted in that long streak without a trophy finally coming to an end for both driver and team. For this Scenario Event, you’ll aim to recreate this moment for yourself, landing Sauber’s first podium since 2012. Do so, and you’ll unlock the Pixel-Powered Special Livery, ran by the team at the Spanish Grand Prix.
The second Scenario Race, available simultaneously throughout the length of Season 5, pays homage to Verstappen’s epic chase of the McLaren’s in the final races of the 2025 season. Despite a 104 point deficit following the Dutch Grand Prix, Max managed to take the fight to both McLarens, eventually finishing the Driver’s Championship in second just two points adrift from the eventual champion, Lando Norris. We've put together a theoretical challenge to serve as a testament to his resolve. In this challenge, you'll be tasked with fighting your way through the pack from 15th on the notoriously challenging Singapore circuit, with the aim of snatching a trophy. If you finish on the podium as Max in this Scenario Race, you’ll earn the Racing Bulls Special Livery from the British Grand Prix as your reward.
As with every new season, Podium Pass gets a refresh too. No matter what area of F1® 25 you indulge in, you’ll earn XP towards each of the 50 levels of Podium Pass with exclusive rewards available in both the Free and VIP tiers. Amongst the Free tier rewards, you’ll find a full Jagged livery set (vehicle livery, race suit, gloves) and 2,500 PitCoin, whereas the VIP rewards include the Qu'est? 2 sponsor livery set, and 6,500 PitCoin. Don’t forget, you can now use new and existing Sponsor Liveries in My Team Career, opening up more customisation options in this popular mode. You can read more about that here. Track your progress through the Podium Pass by opening the Player Hub from the Main Menu and be sure not to let those PitCoin go to waste by visiting the Podium Pass Store from time to time.
In case you missed it, we shared an important update about the future of EA SPORTS F1 towards the end of last year, including the announcement that the 2026 Season will feature as a paid expansion to F1® 25. As we approach the hotly-anticipated real-world 2026 season, we’ll be sure to share in the excitement, and reveal more of what’s to come alongside Season 6. Preparing for the second half of Survival Challenge, the latest title update will be made available for F1® 25 next week. Patch v1.16 will begin rolling out at 10am UTC on Monday, December 8. Please ensure your PC is connected to the internet in order to receive the update.
Preparations for Survival Challenge Part 2, starting December 17
Find out more about what’s coming in Part 2 of Survival Challenge by checking out our dedicated blog, found here.
Added a range of new Casual Wear items to the Podium Pass Store
On December 10, a wide variety of Casual Wear items from real-world brands will be added to the store, giving you more options to kit out your Driver Avatar. These include those pieces from Puma’s official F1® fashion collection, as well as the likes of Alpinestars, Anti Social Social Club, Kappa, Patta, Period Correct Squadra Corse, and Stance.
All Title Sponsor liveries owned by the player can now be used in My Team Career
Previously, Title Sponsor liveries that were unlocked in the game could only be applied to the F1 World car in certain modes, or in My Team when you are signed with the same Title Sponsor. However, we’ve now made it so that these liveries can be freely selected in My Team, opening up even more customisation options in that mode. Any adjustments you’ve made to your livery in My Team using the Decal Editor will still apply, so you may want to reposition some of the pre-existing Decals so that they don’t overlap with those baked-in to the Title Sponsor liveries.
Fixed a rare issue at Bahrain where players could collide with an invisible bump at the exit of Turn 4

Fixed an issue with the appearance of rain in exported Highlights videos (PC only)
Improvements made to the shadows on F2™ 2025 cars
Fixed an issue where Kush Maini could sometimes be using an incorrect helmet

As the season finale approaches we’re kicking things up a gear with a landmark season of content in F1® 25. From a new game mode to a revised driver roster and a plethora of rewards to unlock, Season 4 is set to offer tonnes of excitement for new and existing players. Don’t miss out by loading up F1® 25 between November 12 and January 7 across PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
In a real-world season that continues to be unpredictable despite just a handful of races left on the calendar, we’re keeping you entertained in the virtual world too in Season 4, celebrating a breathtaking year. To read the detailed Patch Notes, detailing all the changes made to the game, head to the separate post linked here.
With each new special livery revealed by teams throughout the season, we’ve been hearing you loud and clear that there have been some highlights you want added to F1® 25, on top of those already added to the game since launch in May. And that’s exactly what we’re doing. In our biggest drop yet, you can expect a total of four Special Liveries added to the game from Ferrari, Red Bull, Sauber, and Racing Bulls, with six Driver Helmets up for grabs too. You’re going to have to work for them though! Introducing Survival Challenge, a new limited-time game mode available right from the Main Menu. Offering you a new way to play, Survival Challenge is a quick-fire, instant-action multiplayer mode where you’ll battle it out against four others in a fast-paced event. After lights-out, you’ll have two minutes to race on-track, then, when the timer hits zero, the car in last-place will be knocked out. Then, periodically, each backmarker will be wiped out leaving just one car to claim victory. As you play, you’ll earn a number of Survival Tokens that can be exchanged for the Special Liveries and Driver Helmets in the Event Catalogue. Here’s some quick facts about Survival Challenge:
With DRS immediately available and no collisions on the first lap, you can expect some quick starts, with each race taking no longer than 5 minutes to complete
Circuits include those featuring at the end of the real-world calendar (Brazil, Austin, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi) as well as some of the more popular tracks from our game like Spa and Austria
Survival Challenge is split into two parts, with Tokens earned being wiped between parts 1 & 2, so be sure to exchange them before they’re gone
The Event Catalogue rewards will change from Part 1 to Part 2, with two liveries and three helmets available in each
It’s your choice which order you unlock the items in the Event Catalogue, with Liveries valued costing more than Helmets
There are four event goals per week, each rewarding 800, 1200, 1500, or 2000 Tokens, allowing you to earn a maximum of 5,500 Tokens before these goals reset at the end of the week
There are performance-based Token rewards too. Depending on whether it’s during Part 1 or Part 2, you’ll earn Tokens for criteria such as number of laps completed, how many events you finish, and distance travelled
Survival Tokens cannot be purchased in any way and are only earned by playing the Survival Challenge mode
I’m sure you’re wondering which Special Liveries and Helmets will be available to unlock. Here’s the rundown for each half of Season 4, as well as their corresponding cost to unlock:
Ferrari Monza livery - 2400 Tokens
Sauber Miami livery - 1800 Tokens
Hamilton Monza helmet - 1250 Tokens
Leclerc Monza helmet - 1250 Tokens
Antonelli Miami helmet - 900 Tokens
Red Bull Japan livery - 2400 Tokens
Racing Bulls Miami livery - 1800 Tokens
Verstappen "Orange Lion" helmet - 1250 Tokens
Verstappen Japan helmet - 1250 Tokens
Russell Miami helmet - 900 Tokens
As with all Special Liveries, once unlocked you can choose which livery you’d like to use when racing as that corresponding team, including in Career. Helmets are added to your inventory, equippable to your custom driver. We can’t wait to hear what you think of Survival Challenge.
With just a handful of races left on the calendar, the Driver’s Championship is still up for grabs, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri aiming for a debut title and Max Verstappen pushing for a remarkable 5th successive trophy. As always, we’ve analysed the latest batch of real-world results, spanning Azerbaijan to Mexico, and we’re updating the Driver Ratings accordingly, available to apply to existing saves from 10am UTC on November 14. That’s not all. Argentinian Franco Colapinto will line-up alongside Pierry Gasly at Alpine, with this change applying to new Career saves. Existing saves will still have Jack Doohan present, with Franco Colapito appearing in the Driver Market from the pool of 2024 Formula 2™ drivers. To learn more about Driver Ratings and how they’re calculated, you can take a look at this article. Here are some of the headline changes:
The first Argentinian on the Formula 1® grid in over 20 years, Colapinto has proved to be an incredibly popular driver with fans around the world. Now a familiar face on the grid for the 2025 season, Franco has had mixed fortunes at Alpine, and mirrors the driver he replaced in being the only ones without a championship point. Whilst he makes the switch in F1® 25 in the most recent update, his stats have been updated from his 2024 Formula 2™ card, reflecting his performances in the sport since his first race in Imola. His Formula 1® card starts with 68 Experience, 71 Racecraft, 73 Awareness, and 75 Pace resulting in an Overall Rating of 73.
Off the back of a string of bad results and little-to-no luck, Carlos Sainz had one of the more notable sets of stat drops in the previous Driver Ratings update. However, seemingly taking those drops personally, his performances and fortunes have flipped completely. Going from three points in the previous six races, Carlos amassed 22 in the following three, including a P3 finish in Baku, securing Williams’ first full-points podium since Lance Stroll at the same circuit in 2017. As such, Sainz’s rating swung back the other way, with improvements in Pace (+2) and Experience (+1) seeing his Overall rating climb back to 85.
Despite being paired with experienced teammate Esteban Ocon for his first season at Haas, Bearman has proven himself as a talented driver in his own right on multiple occasions in 2025. Whilst his points total may not have reflected some assured drives, a remarkable P4 finish in Mexico saw his total leapfrog his teammate’s tally, with a result that matched the team’s best ever finish. Breaching 80 for his Overall Rating, his Racecraft and Pace have each jumped three points, with his Experience getting a two-point boost too.
The Piastri we’ve seen in the last handful of races has been a very different driver to the one that started the season. With a strong championship lead and 12 top three finishes in the first 14 races, he didn’t grace the podium in any of the four races for this update, starting with a Lap 1 DNF in Baku. Whilst his other finishing positions have hardly been disasters, he’s perhaps felt the pressure of the chasing pair behind him in pursuit of becoming world champion. Oscar is the only driver who’s Overall Rating has dropped with this update (-1) due to drops in Awareness (-2) and Pace (-2). With Ratings boosts for Kimi Antonelli, Lando Norris, and several other drivers, be sure to check out the full Driver Ratings breakdown here, with updates published alongside the update on Thursday.
As with every new season, Podium Pass gets a refresh too. As you hit the track in all areas of F1® 25, you’ll earn XP towards each of the 50 levels of Podium Pass with exclusive rewards available in both the Free and VIP tiers. Amongst the Free tier rewards, you’ll find a full Shatter livery set (vehicle livery, race suit, gloves) and 2,500 PitCoin, whereas the VIP rewards include the Atlantic 2 sponsor livery set, and 6,500 PitCoin. Track your progress through the Podium Pass by opening the Player Hub from the Main Menu and be sure not to let those PitCoin go to waste by visiting the Podium Pass Store from time to time.
