Hello everyone,

Just a quick update regarding Express Car Wash Simulator: Legacy Prologue.

As mentioned before, this version is now an older build and no longer reflects the current direction and quality of the game.

I’m keeping Legacy Prologue available mainly as a piece of the game’s history and for a bit of nostalgia. It is not being fully abandoned, and I may still make small improvements to it over time. However, the main development of the game now continues through the main Express Car Wash Simulator page.

The newest playable version is available there as an updated demo, and it includes several major additions and improvements, including:

Customer Photo Request
Bubble Upgrade System
New Player Progression System
Updated Missions

If you want to experience the latest version of the game, I’d highly recommend trying the demo on the main game’s Steam page instead.

With Early Access getting closer, your feedback is especially helpful right now.

We are getting very close to the Early Access release (Q1 2026) of the full game! But before we shift our full focus to the main launch, we wanted to give the Prologue a proper send-off with one last major content update.

We've listened to your feedback and added some highly requested features to make your washing experience even smoother and more colorful.

Here is what’s new in v1.4.0:

✨ Major Highlights

🔍 X-Ray View Struggling to find that last tiny spot of dirt? Say no more! You can now use the X-Ray View to instantly reveal remaining dirty areas on the vehicle. Achieve that 100% cleanliness with precision!

🎨 Colored Soaps

Add some style to your foam! Colored Soaps are now available for you to enjoy.

How to unlock: To use them, you must first purchase the specific Product License for each color via the Management > Products tab.

🏎️ New High-Class Vehicle New "High Class" car is now available to clean.

🛠️ Patch Notes & Fixes

Fixed: Solved a visual artifact where full soap bottles appeared empty.
Fixed: The vehicle engine & audio now automatically shuts off when the player exits the car

📝 Upcoming Change: Becoming "Legacy Prologue"

Lastly, we wanted to let you know that we will soon be renaming this version to Express Car Wash Simulator: Legacy Prologue.

Why the change? Development on the full game has evolved significantly. The mechanics, visuals, and overall polish of the upcoming Early Access version have advanced to a point where this Prologue will no longer fully represent the current state of the project. We intend to keep this version as a "Legacy" title -a classic memory of where we started- while the main game offers a completely upgraded experience.

Cleaning System

Sponge soap and water usage has been tweaked for a more balanced experience.

Economy

Item prices have been rebalanced to better fit early-game and mid-game progression.
Overall prices -including upgrades- have been made cheaper, giving players a faster sense of progression.

A new game tip has been added for tool sensitivity
Various minor fixes and small polish improvements for a smoother overall experience.

Hey everyone!

Here comes a new update with mechanic improvements and a few balance tweaks based on your suggestions.

In-Game Updates

Cleaning System:

The "Next Step" mechanic has been changed to a Press & Hold system.
Previously, progress would trigger instantly on button press, now it requires holding the button, helping prevent unwanted or accidental progress steps.

Tool Detail UI:

Upgrade button now includes clearer info and better visual feedback.

Economy:

Sponge upgrade costs have been reduced drastically

UI & Quality of Life:

UX improvements in the upgrade interface

With 3 different sliders, you can now fine-tune your experience the way you like!

A little bit of a late post, but I wanted to officially announce that the game is now live! First of all, thank you so much for all your support, it truly means a lot to me. Since launch day, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, which made me really happy. Thanks to your valuable feedback, we’ve already fixed a few bugs and improved some parts of the game experience together. To talk a little about myself and this journey; I’m developing this game solo as an indie developer. Like any job, of course there’s a financial side to it, but what matters most to me is seeing people enjoy what I’ve created and having fun. I built this project with that same passion. And since this is my first ever PC game, it holds a very special place for me.

So what’s next?

I’m planning to launch an Early Access version soon. To focus more on that, I’ll be wrapping up support for the Prologue version probably after one content update which will probably includes adding of the language system. Of course, if any technical issues come up, I’ll still be around to help. I’d love to hear any of your feedback, questions, and suggestions.
