After reading the discourse for the past 2 months, I have decided that the speed run achievement should be added back to the game.
It seems more of you liked it than not.
For those that did not, there are ways to cheese the achievement without using in game achievements (as they are not allowed for this achievement.
To this end, I would like to add more achievements that add to the replayability of Execute... please let me know what achievements you would like to see.
PS For players who have earned the achievement in the past, if you still have the save that you earned the achievement on, you simply need to reload that save and watch the final cutscene again to re-earn the achievement.
HELLO
Sorry to everyone who was working on achieving the 2 hr 10 min speed run achievement. It has been removed due to a large number of folks who found it undesirable. If you feel strongly that it should be in the game, let your voice be heard here and I will gladly add it back (I loved it) it was based on my record 2:07:28 that I set a few nights before release.
There is still the 20 min speed run that is meant to be obtained with cheats 'Kronos 23' as your pit name... a reference to Mr. Incredible typing Kronos into syndromes computer in The Incredibles movie. I do not plan to delete this as it is more accessible.
Hello all!
Apologies for the lack of posts. I have been busy with my day job, moving, and YouTube!
I have been squashing small bugs with some less public patches.
This patch brings "Hold 'Shift' to buy Max" support on any upgrade buttons. I also updated leaderboards to display properly if your username has a unique font.
for those of you hoping for a 2.0 update I am sorry to disappoint...
After much reflection I do not believe the poor codebase of execute could support the 2.0 version that I would want to deliver.
I do plan to make an Execute 2 sometime in the future. I plan to Expand on Execute in that game quite extensively.
For now, I am still focused on improving Execute with QoL patches, and possibly some alternative scenarios in the form of challenge modes. Let me know here or in my discord of any ideas you may have. Thank you for your continued support!
Hello Execute enjoyers, I hope you have been enjoying your holidays! I am taking a break, but will be back at it sometime next week with a QoL update and some announcements about future plans. For now please enjoy this incredible video made by BurningGodzilla2042.
As I work on the next content update (more languages, QoL, and stabilization) I wanted to make sure to provide everyone with some tips.
NobleTalePlays has made a great tips video that might be helpful for those of you trying to optimize your run.
If you have some time and are enjoying the game, you can always leave a review!
Dark mode has been added to the settings under the game tab.
Some bugs with windowed and full screen mode have been fixed
a bug with the translation and system settings of the "Mine Upgrades" panel has been fixed
Old demo saves seem to be causing some issues, this patch attempts some fixes to mitigate issues
but it is advised to start a new save or to flush your demo saves.
I bet you can't beat my high score... There's an achievement for doing so!
Sorry for the delay folks, you'll be chopping and dropping in no time. I have a few bugs that need squashing before I hit the big green button. Rest assured it will be out in about 9.5 hours!
Execute launches December 16.
The demo is already localized. The full game ships in 7 languages.
I am selecting the next localization based on demand.
If you want Execute in your language let me know!
