Thank you for your amazing support! ⚔️
— DunHero Dev
After version 1.0, there were still a few things I wanted to add but didn't manage to include in the initial release. So they're being released in version 1.1 :)
I miss this feature in most new games, so I wanted to make sure DunHero had a split-screen mode. From now on, you’ll be able to play with friends on a split screen with up to 4 players at once
Artifacts can easily help boost a build with additional stats that synergize well with it.
Added local split-screen co-op mode: From now on, you can play with 2 to 4 players on one device
Added: 52 New Items (from 620 to 672)
Added: 3 new classes (Explorer, Cursed, and True Hero)
Added: A new item type, Artifact, and 3 artifact slots. Artifacts are items that are rarer than regular items but can help supplement your build with stats or effects.
Added: new final bosse and a new ending where you choose between the path of good or evil.
Updated: Damage-over-time effects no longer have a maximum number of stacks; instead, they have a duration, and the damage per stack is based on the total damage dealt. As a result, builds with low attack speed will deal damage just as effectively as those with high attack speed
Change: The Town has been removed. Currently, the base game worlds feature more NPC locations, which are better distributed, so the locations that would have been in the town are now integrated into the main game map.
Curse have been added. Curse have a chance to weaken attacks and loot, but items and cards with curses provide powerful bonuses
Boss phases: Each boss now has two or more phases in which the fight becomes increasingly difficult
Alternative Bosses: Alternative bosses have been added to the first 7 worlds to make the gameplay more diverse
All the mini-bosses have been reworked to make their attacks more interesting and better suited to the game's difficulty level.
Changed max health from 250 to 200 \
Change: From now on, all characters in the game inflict knockback on each other during combat. This is to make combat between creatures more dynamic
The textures for the entrance to the boss room and the secret room have been updated
Have Fun!

I am currently working on a large patch 1.1, but in the meantime, I wanted to release a small patch with fixes for reported bugs :)
I will post more information about patch 1.1 soon.
But I can already say that it will be a significant update for the game state. It will include things like split-screen co-op, boss phases, alternative bosses, new mini bosses, an improved NPC reaction system, new world progression system, alternative ending with new boss fight and more... Most likely, a beta version will be available about three weeks before the patch release so that everyone can test it in advance :)
Fixed: bug where teleport icons on the map were covered by other icons
Fixed: In the meta progression, the first level of the village was -1 instead of 0
Fixed: Bug where enemies killed by summons or hired NPCs did not give the player XP
Fixed: An error that sometimes caused creatures to spawn incorrectly in multiplayer
Few other minor bugs
Have Fun! - Dev Kacper
In this patch, I focused on bug fixes, Gameplay improvements, and companions rework to make Quartermaster gameplay and companion hiring more meaningful for build creation.
In the upcoming updates, I want to focus on content. Mainly the random event system during the game, boss phases, new slots, and local split-screen mode.
Companions Rework: from now on, all hired companions stay with us permanently (unless we dismiss them) and provide us with stats and help in combat. Companions cannot die and have their own rarity and levels, which give them various bonuses. All items that were in the game and provided companion stats have been changed
Added 3 new items (from 617 to 620)
Added 8 new upgrades to the meta progression tree
From now on, guided projectiles will not pass through walls to avoid situations where we attack enemies in a building without having any contact with them
Bandits now have tiers, and every few worlds they become stronger and have more powerful attacks
Added: Stronger variants of common cards that have a much lower chance of appearing
The chance of enemies randomly attacking NPCs has been reduced by 50%
NPC Forgiveness System: If you attack an NPC by accident, walk away from them for a few seconds to a certain distance. They will no longer be angry at the player. If you attack them more than a few times, he will become permanently hostile towards player
From now on, attacking doors does not make NPCs aggressive. Only destroying them will cause this.
From now on, you can use Dice to reroll a store even if it does not have the option to reroll for gold by default
Added option: Windowed Fullscreen
Added a setting that allows you to change the text size
Several errors in the English localization have been fixed
Fixed cards animation while covering edges of card. Now they are smoother
Fixed bug which made comparing items not work on Gamepad
Fixed changing movement keybinds on keyboard
Fixed a bug where it was impossible to unlock the bard character
Fixed Issue with few achievements. If you have them unlocked on your save. Just open the game start a run and you should get them unlocked on steam
Fixed a problem with deleting save files
Fixed bug which was removing second accessory item after continuing run
Thanks for all the feedback. Thanks to you, I can continue to develop the game and push it in the right direction! Have Fun!

I am very happy that update 1.0 has been released on Steam. I worked on it for about a year and added many new things. During that time, there were many days when I worked 10-14 hours on the game, but I think it was worth it!
It was quite a long journey, because the game underwent a general rework and became much better, and in addition, many systems were improved so that future content additions and modifications would be much easier.
Enjoy reading!
I added 2 new slots to make it easier to create builds and interesting synergies
I added a lot of new items to the game (over 300) and there are over 10 new sets that provide powerful bonuses
The game features 14 new classes, each with its own strengths, allowing you to create unique builds
8 Worlds in total + new boss and increasingly difficult gameplay in each world
The game now has over 80 cards, allowing you to create really interesting combinations with a multitude of items and statistics
All existing items and cards have been refreshed to make it easier to create synergies and interesting builds
Updated all card icons and textures
New meta progression items and starter items added (Note: It is possible to finish the game without using any of the meta progression upgrades. Meta progression is fully optional)
Added Item enhancement and modifier system with over 20 item modifiers! Now items can appear with a random modifier that changes the weapon stats slightly and if we meet the right NPC we can upgrade the weapon which will increase its damage and attack speed
Updated all character textures (also player class textures)
Added Summoning System. Now you can buy items that will let you summon creatures that will aid you in combat and grant some statistics
All attacks, both from enemies and NPCs, have been reworked to be more interesting and better suited to the stage of the game
Added Aura Effects. Now you can obtain different auras from items and cards that damages all enemies near the player
A blacksmith has been added where you can upgrade and modify your weapons
Added Bandit Trader, who sells illegal weapons that are stronger than regular ones. However, the bandit trader has higher prices than regular traders
The Arena quest has been completely reworked in terms of gameplay and design. It is now more suited to the difficulty level of the game
The sound system has been improved. The settings and sound quality are much better
Updated the starting location; characters are now further apart from each other
Added the Village Guard NPC to the starting location, which allows you to choose your character class in the menu
Lots of new tooltips added (almost for each effect that could be unclear). To make it easier to understand the game and effects
The difficulty level has been completely reworked. Instead of a portal, there is now a challenge stone that allows you to choose from various challenges that make the game more difficult to varying degrees. A Hell Mode option has also been added, which activates all challenges and disables all meta-progression.
Added information about the chance of obtaining items of a given rarity from chests and merchants
Added inventory capacity. Now when you exceed it you move slower and the dash cooldown is extended. You can increase capacity with items, cards, or by increasing strength
Reworked Mana System now it is called Mana Flow. When you have 0 mana your magic attacks have lower damage damage and with each hit you increase your mana and your projectiles deal more and more damage. When you don't fight or hit the enemy your mana slowly drops back to 0
Luck now provides a chance for an extra card in the card selection menu
Added Revive stat and many others, allowing you to create interesting builds and synergies
Added Display of chances for a given card type in the card selection menu
The tutorial has been completely reworked and redesigned.
Added Tutorial windows that appear in different situations. It now explains most of the game mechanics in a much more accessible form
Added percentage display of selling and buying prices of items in the trade menu
Added pop-ups on the left for major events like gaining stats, gaining a level, completing a task, or getting an item
The portals on the map are now inactive until the required tasks are completed
From now on, all trading characters have more random equipment instead of predefined ones
All healing items get rebalanced
Knockbacking Enemies can destroy walls (such as wooden ones) in their path. From now on, the power of knockback also depends on the distance from the opponen. Being closer pushes enemy further away
Collisions of all NPC and enemy projectiles have been updated. So that hitting a player is more fair
Doors are now visible even while opened
Armor is now less effective, but there are more items and effects that have synergies with it
Increased IFrames time
While IFrames is active player is slightly trasnparent
Added Cooldown for equiping items during combat
Added some effects cooldown or stack count appear in top left corner
Reworked many enemies attacks and behaviour
Damage at long range has been reduced by 20%. So that the player will be rewarded for a riskier game
Activation of the shock effect is now more visible
Few Rare Cards get removed. Due to problems in its balance and lack of synergies
Reduced the needed experience at the first level to reach the next level from 50 to 40
Now a player gets a rare card every 5 levels not every 6
Now Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence give also minor bonuses to other stats (For example Dexterity also increaes slightly Attack Speed and Movement Speed)
Added description to damage effects (Burning, Bleeding, Poison and Divine Burn)
Added auto aiming and shooting setting for mouse and keyboard on right mouse button
Added Master Volume setting
And much more...
1.0 does not mean the end of DunHero development.
I already have several minor and major updates planned, which will further develop the game. I intend to add a lot more items, new systems, and gameplay variety to the game.
Every person who plays, gives feedback, and simply has fun with the game is a great achievement for me, because I love creating games, and thanks to you, I can continue to do so!
Thanks for your support and enjoy the game!

I'm happy to announce that DunHero will be launching in version 1.0 on January 5th, 2026! :)
I've been working on this update for almost a year now. During this time, the game has undergone significant changes and I've added a ton of new content. My main goal was to ensure that DunHero players get a game they'll enjoy both solo and with friends for many hours.
14 new classes
Over 350 new items
Over 40 new cards
3 new worlds
Many new mechanics and stats
Summoning system that allows you to summon creatures to help in battle and provide stat bonuses
Improved enemy attacks and AI
Many new NPCs and locations
And other changes that will be revealed in the official patch notes
Beyond the new classes, items, and cards, existing content has been reworked and improved to make building powerful character builds more engaging and interesting
This not the end of development. I'm already planning future updates that will expand the game even further.
Here are some things that I'm already planning to add:
New item types and additional item slots
Boss fight phases and alternative bosses for each world
Random world events that cause various cataclysms and slightly alter gameplay, such as goblin invasions, meteor showers, or attacks by powerful creatures that will try to defeat everyone on map
In addition to choosing your character's class, you'll be able to select your character's race. Each race provides bonuses and sometimes negative effects as well
New Worlds
Bonus: Mobile version of DunHero
Happy new year!
Thank you all for your continued support! I can't wait to share version 1.0 with you!
Over the past few months, I have been working on update 1.0, which completely changes the game and adds a ton of additional content. \
Before the update, you can check out the Open Beta, where you can test the latest changes and submit feedback or bugs on the official DunHero Discord available on the game's main screen.
The Open Beta will be available until the official release of the full version of the game and will be updated based on your feedback and reported bugs.
Open Steam
Right-Click DunHero
Select Properties...
Click on the Betas tab
In Beta Participation, select “beta - Beta Version”
After that, the game should update to the latest Beta version. However, if this does not happen, it is worth restarting Steam and trying again.
Full patch notes will be available after the game's full release, but below is a summary of the latest changes.
Three new worlds have been added to the game, along with new enemies and bosses. There were also changes to the existing worlds, all enemies and NPCs have had their attacks reworked to make them more interesting.
New slots for gloves and boots have been added to the game, making it easier to create synergies and builds. Weapons can also be upgraded at a special NPC blacksmith, or have a modifier that changes the weapon's stats.
A ton of new items and cards have been added to the game. And the ones that were already in the game have been reworked so that you can create interesting and powerful synergies.
Fourteen new character classes have been added to the game, and those that were already in the game have been reworked.
Many other things have also appeared in the game, such as:
Summoning System
Reworked Mana System
Item Weight System
Reworked difficulty levels. Now there are challenges that change the difficulty level of the game by a certain percentage.
New statistics
New NPCs, Locations and interactions
Many new tooltips for items and effects
Reworked Tutorial
Better minimap and Map. Now you can also teleport on the map as long as there are no enemies nearby.
Reworked Meta Progression
Wiki and Achievements in game
Now I'm starting with the launch of beta version 1.0. Next will be the full release of the game in the coming weeks after gathering feedback from you.
After the release, I plan to continue updating DunHero. I already have a few bigger ideas to implement, such as:
More interesting travel between worlds
Character races to choose from. This will allow you to combine different character classes with different character races, which will provide greater diversity
Alternative endings and additional worlds after defeating the final boss
But I still need time for that, so these changes will appear in future updates.
Have fun playing!
