Dungeons 3: October Update

Dungeon Lords! The Absolute Evil has decided to launch an update for Dungeons 3, including a minor fix as well as a temporary change to the Multiplayer mode. Currently, we are working to improve the invite system but in order to put these changes into effect, we will have to temporarily remove the function to invite people via a Steam friends list to a multiplayer game. However, not to worry as we are working on an improved solution which will be added to the game during the next update, and that will allow you to invite multiplayer partners from a larger selection of potential players. In the meantime, you can continue to play Dungeons 3 in multiplayer mode by following the below steps:

• Create a multiplayer game
• The GameID of your multiplayer game will then be displayed on the bottom-right side of the screen (next to the ‘Play’ button)
• Memorize your GameID and share it with your friends via Chat, Skype, Discord etc.
• To play together, have your friends select ‘Join Multiplayer Game’
• The game will then ask them to enter the GameID and confirm
• Now, you can start your multiplayer match

We’ve also fixed an issue with the Kalypso Launcher which resulted in the incorrect version of the game to display. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused. See you in the dungeon, Your Dungeons 3 team

• Multiplayer mode: temporarily removed ability to use Steam friend list to start a multiplayer match.

• A new free skirmish mode map called ‘Boss Monster’ has been added.

Fixes

• The option to reset campaign progress has been moved to the `Extras’ submenu.
• The despawn timer of heroes that cannot be converted to zombies or skeletons has been reduced.

The cooldown for ‘Outpost is under attack’ warnings has been reduced to 30 seconds.

Several other bugfixes and memory optimizations, eg.:

• Fixed a glitch when picking up units with the ‘pick up by category’ hotkey (eg. F4 for Snots only).
• Fixed Snots that had problems with carrying a creature bonus.
• Fixed a bug with the ‘Borderless Window’ setting.

Strategy gaming specialists Kalypso Media and developers Realmforge Studios have today announced a special new in-game event for their fan-favourite strategy title Dungeons 3. Beginning on 15th April and running indefinitely, the Golden Pickaxe Event introduces a new treasure-hunting challenge to the acclaimed dungeon management sim across all platforms (PC, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One). In the event, the world of Dungeons 3 will suddenly be populated with mysterious golden pickaxes, with one appearing in a mission from each DLC released to date, along with the main game. Naturally, it’s down to the players to gather them up, with a selection of in-game goodies waiting to be unlocked and an extra special reward awaiting anyone that can locate a pickaxe in every piece of Dungeons 3 DLC. Rumour has it that this final reward has some connection to a faraway world…but what could it be? Along with the Golden Pickaxe Event, there is currently a Dungeons 3 franchise sale on Steam and a seasonal Easter in-game event on all platforms, both of which will run until April 22nd, where players’ dungeons will be outfitted with an assortment of cosmetic decorations. • Added a new free Skirmish map called “A Bug’s Life” has been added.
• Added a new setting for “Clash of Gods” skirmish maps, which buffs/debuffs random factions during the night and day cycles.
• Added a new option to the game’s menu: Software Cursor.
  • A software cursor is rendered by the game, rather than the operating system, and scales with increased resolution so that it will always have roughly the same size.

Fixes

• Fixed the effect timing for the Grave Golem’s “Tombstone” attack.
• Several bugfixes.
• Memory optimizations in order to fix and prevent possible memory leaks.

• Fixed a bug where unavailable researches were made available by the Temple structure.
• Fixed a bug with the triple Mystificator mana capacity.
• Fixed the opening and closing sound of Magic Doors.
• Fixed the behaviour of the Evil Hand on the surface. Now it does a better job by staying off-camera when idling.
• Fixed the walkability with ‘Outposts’ so that they are preferably attacked from the front.
• Fixed the pray animation for units in the Temple.
• Fixed multiplayer lobbies to display the pre-set difficulty to players.
• Gob-O-Bots can now use their ‘Eject’ skill even when on strike.
