Hey SpeedStars!
Season 20 takes racers on a journey to Never Land in Disney Speedstorm with “Second Star Magic,” a brand-new season inspired by Disney’s Peter Pan. Prepare to soar through magical skies, embrace your adventurous spirit, and race alongside legendary characters from one of Disney’s most beloved classics.
Whether you’re flying high with Peter Pan, spreading pixie dust with Tinker Bell, or causing chaos as Captain Hook, this season delivers fast-paced action, playful rivalries, and unforgettable moments on the track.
Don’t forget to check out everything arriving in Season 20 below and stay tuned for more updates in our Community Pit Stop.
Three iconic characters from Disney’s Peter Pan are joining the competition this season: Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and Captain Hook. Each racer brings unique abilities and magical gameplay twists to the track.
You can unlock these racers through special time-limited events and exclusive offers throughout the season.
Mischievous, fearless, and always ready for adventure, Peter Pan races through the skies with unmatched agility.
Normal Activation: Peter Pan flies forward for a short duration while becoming invulnerable. Upon landing, he gains a speed boost.
Charged Activation: Peter Pan sends his shadow forward, attaching it to the closest rival. While attached, the rival is slowed while Peter Pan gains increased speed and reduced nitro consumption. After detaching, the shadow remains on the track and affects any rival who drives through it. Peter Pan can collect his shadow to refill his nitro bar.
Passive: After performing enough aerial stunts, Peter Pan earns his unique skill again. If he already has a power-up when this happens, he instead gains increased acceleration.
Tiny but incredibly powerful, Tinker Bell brings magical support and chaotic pixie dust effects to every race.
Normal Activation: Tinker Bell sprinkles pixie dust on racers ahead of her, including herself.
Self & Allies: Increased Top Speed and Acceleration
Rivals: Silence effect
Charged Activation: Tinker Bell glows red and becomes temporarily invulnerable before releasing pixie dust in an area around her. Affected rivals lose handling control while Tinker Bell gains a boost flying forward.
Scheming, theatrical, and always pursued by danger, Captain Hook uses clever traps and pirate tactics to dominate the race.
Normal Activation: Captain Hook pulls out his telescope while two cannons appear beside him as defensive shields. If the skill duration ends before the cannons are destroyed, Hook locks onto a rival and fires homing cannonballs ahead, stunning racers caught in their path.
Charged Activation: Captain Hook summons a trail of floating Jolly Roger flags while conducting a pirate melody. While driving through the lane, Hook gains increased speed and acceleration. Rivals entering the trail must remain perfectly controlled—drifting, boosting, dashing, using skills, or leaving the lane will trigger an anchor effect that stuns them.
Passive: Tick-Tock the Crocodile is never far behind. Whenever Captain Hook is stunned, Tick-Tock snaps at him, frightening Hook into rapidly dashing forward instead. This effect has a cooldown.
A magical new crew lineup joins the race this season, ready to support racers from the sidelines of Never:
Nibs, Cubby and Slightly
Mr. Smee
Tootles
The Twins
John Darling
Michael Darling
Wendy Darling
Nana
George Darling
Mary Darling

Race through the shadows and prove you can outpace even the fiercest villains.

Five new antagonists have arrived to shake up the competition: Mother Gothel (Tangled), Shan Yu (Mulan), Yokai (Big Hero 6), Syndrome (The Incredibles), and Pete (Mickey & Friends). They’re here to prove that not only the heroes can—and will—win!
You can collect these racers via special time-limited events and unique offers.
Elegant yet manipulative, Mother Gothel uses charm and cunning to stay one step ahead.
Normal Activation: Gains a speed boost and dash for a short time, then switches to Charming stance.
Charged Activation: Creates a fog aura that blinds rivals, then switches to Scheming stance.
Fearless and commanding, Shan Yu brings sheer intensity to every lap. A relentless warrior who thrives on intimidation, he races with precision and power.
Normal Activation: Sends his falcon to silence a rival, blocking boosts and skills. Hitting a powered rival grants Shan Yu a speed boost.
Charged Activation: Rides forward with a snow avalanche, gaining speed and leaving a trail that disrupts steering. Collisions slow rivals.
Mysterious and driven by a hidden agenda, Yokai enters the competition with calculated determination.
Normal Activation: Creates a microbot trail that boosts speed. At max stacks, it also slows nearby rivals.
Charged Activation: Throws a container that stuns rivals. At max stacks, it becomes a lingering obstacle that slows rivals. Collecting power-ups builds microbot stacks that enhance his abilities.
A brilliant but vengeful tech mastermind, Syndrome enters the race armed with cutting-edge gadgets and relentless ambition.
Normal Activation: Sends a drone that targets and slows a rival.
Charged Activation: Summons support ships that stun rivals on contact and grant Syndrome a boost.
One of Disney’s most classic rivals, Pete storms onto the track with brute strength and unstoppable momentum.
Normal Activation: Drops dynamite behind him that stuns rivals and explodes after a delay. One dynamite sticks to Pete.
Charged Activation: Consumes dynamite (if available) for a boost followed by a slowdown. If Pete is stunned while holding dynamite, it explodes on him for a smaller boost.

New Racer Progression explained:
FAQ:
Simplified the flow of getting Duplicate Items exchanged to Season Coins.
Fixed small visual and audio issues.
Autopilot now scales with the Racer’s Top Speed stat, including bonuses from Crew Members. This results in an overall buff to all Racers with Autopilot skills - the higher a Racer’s Top Speed, the faster they move while Autopilot is active. Autopilot speed depends on the Top Speed stat before the start of the race, and is not dynamically affected by in-race speed boosts or slowdowns.
Hey Speedstars!
Thank you for all the feedback you shared on the recent announcement of the New Racer Progression. Please check the answers on some of your frequent questions on the upcoming update. What is a Star Fragment? How do I get them, and what does upgrading a Racers look like now?To upgrade a Racer, you will still need two currencies: Racer Shards and New Currency Coins called Tune Coins. A Star Fragment is not a new currency, rather it's a part of a Star, which is automatically applied to a Racer when they are upgraded. You can think of a Star Fragment as two Levels of progression in the current system. For example, you have Forky at 3 Stars. To upgrade him to 3 Stars & 1 Star Fragment, you will use 8 Forky Shards and 800 Tune Coins. After using those, Forky will automatically get a Star Fragment, he will now be at 3 Stars & 1 Star Fragment, and his Stats will go up. Once you upgrade him to 3 Stars and 5 Star Fragments, the 5 Star Fragments will combine into a new Full Star, and he will now be at 4 Stars. Reaching a new Star provides a significant stat increase, much larger than the smaller increases gained from individual Star Fragments. Will any of my unused Racer Shards disappear after the update? No, the Racer Shards you now have will not disappear. You can either use them now with Upgrade Coins, or you'll be able to use them with Tune Coins once the update launches. Racer Shards are not being replaced, and you will need the same type of Racer Shards to continue upgrading your Racers. Will there be a reset to MPL rewards, so I can earn more Racer Shards? No, we're not planning on resetting MPL rewards during the update. Where do I get Tune Coins (new currency to upgrade Racers)?Tune Coins will be available as rewards in Special Events, Passes, Shop offers, and other in-game activities. Will I be able to use my previously received Racer Shards that were converted into Season Coins? No, these Racer Shards were converted into Season Coins since the Racer got to Level 50 which was max at that time. Now you'll be able to upgrade your Racers further, and you will need to earn new Racer Shards. Will I be able to get Racer Shards needed to go from 5 Stars to 6 Stars from the Universal Box?These additional Racer Shards won't be available in the Universal Box. We're currently evaluating the next steps for the Universal Box, and will share more details in the future. Is a Racer still unlocked once you get 10 of their Racer Shards?Yes, Racers will still be unlocked once you acquire 10 of their Racer Shards. You can then use those 10 Shards and Tune Coins to promote the newly unlocked Racer to 0 Stars & 2 Star Fragments. Are any changes coming to Racer Boost with this update? No changes are planned for either Racer Boost or Supercharged Racer Boost events for this update. Will Racers with 6 Stars be added to Private Track and Local Freeplay modes?Yes, you'll be able to play with 6 Stars Racers in private lobbies and Local Freeplay. 6 Stars Racers can be used in all the game modes. When upgrading a Racer to 6 Stars, do they get a new 5th slot for an additional Crew Member? No, currently we're not planning on adding the 5th Crew Member slot. Getting a Racer to 6 Stars will already make their Stats grow significantly. How will the Max Out feature in Diamond Pass work starting with Season 19?Now the Diamond Pass will allow you to Max Out a Racer all the way to 6 Stars. The same applies to Max Out offers that occasionally appear in the Shop - they will instantly upgrade a Racer to 6 Stars. What happens to Supercharge?Supercharge feature is here to stay. You will be able to Supercharge your Racers at any moment after they get to 5 Stars, and it is not necessary to obtain 6 Stars to Supercharge a Racer. We plan to continue releasing Supercharges for Racers who don't have them yet. Will there still be balancing updates going forward?Yes, we're still having Racer Balancing updates. We hope this makes things more clear, and we're looking forward for you to trying out the New Racer Progression launching on April 9 with Season 19! Don't forget to follow us on our social media channels for all the latest news! X YouTube Discord Instagram Facebook © Disney.© Disney/Pixar.© 2026 Gameloft. All rights reserved. Gameloft & the Gameloft logo are trademarks of Gameloft in the US and/or other countries. In Season 19, we're updating the Racer Progression system. Currently, when upgrading your Racers on higher levels, the power boost you get out of it is not that noticeable per each level. With this update we're aiming to make each upgrade feel meaningful, plus we want you to be able to upgrade your favorite Racers to their ultimate state giving them even better stats!
With that in mind, there are a few improvements coming!Star System replacing LevelsFirst, we are replacing Levels with the clearer Star system.Every Racer can now be leveled up from 0 to 6 Stars.
Every time you upgrade a Racer, you're giving them a Star Fragment. 5 Star Fragments = New Star for your Racer!
To upgrade Racers you will need a new currency which is replacing Upgrade Coins.

New currency replacing Upgrade CoinsWith this update, we're discontinuing the Upgrade Coins and introducing a new currency to upgrade you Racers.IMPORTANT NOTICE! Upgrade Coins will be converted into Tokens at an adjusted rate with the launch of Season 19 on April 9. The amount of Tokens you can get via conversion is capped at 2,000.The conversion rate is 1 Upgrade Coin = 0.024 Token, with the max amount of Tokens you can get capped at 2,000. With that in mind, try to make the most out of your Upgrade Coins before Season 19!Consider the following before the update:Upgrade your Racers to Level 30-40 - currently, this is an optimal spot in terms of Level / Stats ratio.
Avoid trying to get to Level 50 before the update, unless you're already close to it; these are your main competitive Racers; or you need Level 50 for an ongoing event.
Spread your Upgrade Coins between multiple Racers to benefit from them getting to next Stars after the update.
When upgrading a Racer from the first to the fourth Star Fragments, they will be getting either Acceleration, Combat, Handling, or Boost bonus plus a small increase in Speed each time they get a new Star Fragment.
When upgrading a Racer to the new Full Star, they will always get a significant boost to all of the four stats plus a large increase in Speed.

As you can see, to get your Racer from 0 to 5 Stars, you'll still need 200 Racer Shards total, however now the progression is more balanced: you will need more Racer Shards in early progression, and less Shards to get to Star 4 and 5 compared to current Level 40 and 50. The new 6th star will require 60 additional Racer Shards. Now let's take a look at how many of the New Currency Coins are needed to upgrade Racers:Stars

Trained by Doc Hudson himself, Lightning McQueen is the king of the turns. When drifting, he barely loses speed—allowing him to carve corners with unmatched precision.

Cruz brings focus, motivation, and teamwork to the race.
Normal Activation: Cruz hops onto a treadmill, gaining a boost and top-speed increase. Allies inside the area receive smaller speed boosts of their own.

ALICE – CHASE THE WHITE RABBIT
Normal Activation: Alice summons the Cheshire Cat, who targets the closest rival and applies a random negative effect (such as decreased speed, stun, blocked or inverted steering). Alice receives a random speed buff in return (forward boost, nitro regen, or temporary speed increase).
Charged Activation: The White Rabbit dashes forward on the shortest route of the track, including all shortcuts. While Alice follows the rabbit’s glowing trail, she reaches top speed, becomes invulnerable, and ignores terrain slowdowns for a limited time.
Passive: Alice receives a max speed boost any time she rides a grind rail.
MAD HATTER – HATTER SHENANIGANS
Normal Activation: The Mad Hatter fumbles with a broken pocket watch, which explodes and scatters hazardous pieces across the track. Some parts behave like classic hazards, while others grant the Hatter random speed boosts.
Charged Activation: The Hatter hosts his famous unbirthday tea party! All nearby racers are slowed to his pace as they "join" the celebration. After the party ends, the Hatter receives a buff based on how many guests attended.
QUEEN OF HEARTS – A BLIND FURY
Normal Activation: Rows of four giant playing cards spawn behind the Queen every few seconds. Racers who pass through them receive random negative effects based on the suit:
Clubs: Slows the racer
Diamonds: Stuns the racer
Spades: Hacks the racer’s controls
Hearts (King): No effect
Depending on the card the rival hits, the Queen gains a nitro bonus—or, in the case of the King card, she gains a Heart token. When enough are collected, a powerful autopilot activates.
Charged Activation: Cards spawn in front of every rival racer, forcing them to react quickly and dodge the hazards—or suffer the consequences.
A brand-new batch of Crew Members from Alice in Wonderland is here to back you up on the track, including:
March Hare
Dinah
King of Hearts
Dodo
The Doorknob
Dormouse
Bill the Lizard
The Walrus and the Carpenter
Tweedledee & Tweedledum

SEASON 14 CHANGES
You can also check out the Season 14 changes outlined in our First Look video.
Tales
Tales is a new event format that brings together multiple Limited Events into one evolving experience — with both PvE and PvP challenges, and major rewards up for grabs.
Here’s how it works:
New Limited Events unlock progressively throughout each Tale, with each one featuring its own set of quests and objectives.
Some Limited Events can be grinded endlessly, while others have fixed limit.
Every point you earn contributes to a global reward track. Progress through Milestones and unlock exclusive prizes as the Tale unfolds.
Each Tale includes a grand leaderboard that tracks your total score across all connected Limited Events in the chain. Your combined points from participating TLEs will determine your overall rank. The higher you place when the Tale ends, the better your final reward.
Multiple Tales can run at once — so there’s always a new challenge, and more chances to climb the ranks.
MULTIPLAYER & ECONOMY EVENTS
We’re also introducing a New Type of Time-Limited Event!
This new type of event features new objectives, where players can enjoy competing against the other players, and earn great rewards for achieving the highest scores. Here are the elements that define these events:
The New Objectives will be actions that are tied to the main gameplay (e.g. participate in multiplayer races.)
Players will be given unlimited tries to score as many points as possible.
The new type of Time Limited Events will have certain milestones that will give rewards.
RAMP STUNTS INSTANT REACTION
We’ve updated how stunts work— giving you more control, more reward, and more chances to leave your rivals in the dust.
Here’s what’s new:
Performing aerial stunts after launching off a ramp no longer just gives a speed boost when landing.
Now, each stunt charges your Nitro bar, letting you decide when to unleash your speed.
The more stunts you pull off in a jump, the more Nitro you build — and Tricksters earn even more per stunt.
It’s no longer just about landing with style — it’s about using your airtime strategically to power up.
RACER VOICEOVER
This season, Zurg, Forky, Lotso, and both mid-season Racers — Chip 'n' Dale — will receive voice lines in-game.
NEW SUPERCHARGE RACERS
Hercules from Disney’s Hercules, Elsa from Disney’s Frozen, EVE from Disney and Pixar’s WALL·E, Stitch from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, and the one and only Goofy, straight from Mickey & Friends.
FREE CHARACTERS:
This season, Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peep from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story will be available as the two free characters for all players as a Season Tour reward.\
SEASON 14 TOURNAMENT AND VAULT PASS
During Season 14, Tournaments and Vault Passes will become available for both Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Tournaments will be available for the following Racers: Jack Skellington, Sally, Dr. Finkelstein, Belle, Beast, and Gaston.
Starting with this season’s update, players on Nintendo Switch 2 can look forward to a much smoother, sharper racing experience thanks to performance enhancements exclusive to the new hardware:
The FPS cap has been raised to 60, delivering buttery-smooth racing compared to the previous 30 FPS limit.
Enjoy 1080p in handheld mode and up to 1440p when docked for a crisper, more detailed look.
A number of other visual improvements such as better shadows, anti-aliasing, and shader quality to bring even more visual polish to every track.
These upgrades are exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2 players, so make sure your game is updated to get the most out of what the new console has to offer.
GENERAL FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS
We’ve been hard at work implementing improvements to enhance your day-to-day experience, including:
Max Racer Level is now displayed in Multiplayer Rankings
New Multiplayer Level Cap system introduced:
Each league now has a maximum allowed racer level to improve matchmaking fairness.
Racers above the cap will be adjusted for the race, but crew bonuses and supercharge abilities remain active.
Level caps are visible in menus and post-race screens.
If players from multiple leagues are matched together, the lowest league cap applies.
