🐟 New Fish Currency 🐟

Fish are a fluctuating currency you can purchase for ¥en in The Fish Market between levels. Fish Market is available through the new depth, The Bay, or when playing any of the fish characters.

🐟 The Bay 🐟

A new depth with a Fish Market between levels. Buy Fish for cheap and sell them when they're expensive to get rich or do the opposite and get poor. Up to you. There's also little fish nibbling your dice now. Find the Gold Fish to unlock The Bay. Oh and the Fish IRS will get your ass.

🐟 New Characters 🐟

Two new characters with powers centered around the new currency and taking on debt.

Cool Fish - very cool
Business Fish - also very cool

🐟 New Items 🐟

5 new fish trinkets
5 new fish spells
Debt Dues. Negative effect spells only gained via special mechanics. Pay coins to get rid of them or risk them activating on their own.
"Heal all dice" spell
Skip side XNX snack
Clutch spell that will hold your next hand

When playing a fish character, all the power related items are replaced with fish related items.

🐟 Item Balance 🐟

Removed teapots, pyramid and ikra items that reduced bust. We're trying to avoid dragging out the rounds.
Rowan now gives +5 mult if hand cointains three 1s
Better 6¥ scratchie chance
Chance for debt dues in Gambling Bag
Jade Bracelet has multiple uses
Bleeding Baby resets on wipe
Debust Biscuit -> Mult Biscuit
Piglet now gives mult for rerolling mutiple Pig sides

New character sounds for King Fetus, Anais, Wizard, Shirin and Guy
New explosion sound

White pips on Stuck dice sides for clarity

Star Guts, Two New Characters, New Items and bug fixes.

Hi everyone update time! It's been a little while. Apart from working on the game, we've been busy side hustling and trying to get funding for the game. Wish us luck! Here's what's new:

★ TWO NEW DOG CHARACTERS ★

Dog - Good boy. Tiny bust limit with many turns and a power that lets you get away with fewer rolls.
Hotdog - Lots of busts but only 1 turn! Special power that lets you eat yourself throughout the game.

★ STAR GUTS IMPROVEMENTS ★

New type of currency - Gold Stars. Rewarded for winning runs. Click on the stars next to your character in game setup to receive them in. Currently used to unlock characters. More uses to come later.
Lots of visual improvements - More gutty shapes, color coding, icons, particles etc.
Hover over items for descriptions

★ NEW ITEMS ★

2 unlocks with 8 new items

Parenting - A bunch of baby items that change as you play
Diet Culture - Snacks that allow you to puke out negative side effects.

★ OTHER ★

Bet balancing - bets have been made more manageable. The bet star bonus has been rebalanced as well.
Cycle dice have limited use. They die after 10 scores but have special death behavior. I was thinking of completely letting it go coz of how much it can break the game but we're gonna play with it a bit more before we decide if we need to cut it out completely.
Points capped at 69 trillion to prevent softlocks
VSync option added
Bunch of bug and crash fixes I won't list here :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not the biggest update but new characters should keep you degenerates happy for a while. We have some other stuff already cooking in the pot but we wanted to release this first instead of holding it all up. Next update will be all about Fishy Business, Fish Stock Market and Fish IRS :fish: Have fun, let us know what breaks :)

Hello, Franek here! Thank you all for playing and reviewing! First sizeable update was just released with new content and lots of tweaks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note on balance! The balance will change and shift through out the development. And might get ruined at times with new updates as its a lot of systems interacting with each other. We'll keep adjusting it until full release where we hopefully reach a happy place. That applies to stars as well as the numbers will change til the full release. Thanks everyone for feedback and breaking the game and I'm looking forward to the new ways you'll do it again. Small balance patch might come sooner than later. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spoilers ahead, here's whats new:

★ DEPTHS ★

You can now select Depth before playing. Depths will define amount of levels, nightmare difficulties and have special behaviors. There will be more to come but for now there's 2: Shallows: - Easy mode for beginners to warm up to the game - 7 levels, 2 nightmares - Start with an extra bust - Limited star rewards Faraway Lands - Requires winning Shallows and 50★ to unlock - Standard mode - 10 levels, 3 nightmares - Bets affecting the difficulty (more info below)

★ NEW CHARACTER - ANAIS ★

Anais character with a power allowing you to smite your dice children in exchange for cash. A small tip - there's things living in the dice and they're delicious.

★ BETS ★

You can now bet Stars on your runs. Betting increases Star rewards as well as increasing difficulty. Losing will result in losing your betted Stars. You will receive a colored star for winning a better run to flex. We plan to link them to more rewards in the future updates. Let us know how the balance feels on those, the highest bets are supposed be very brutal but they might be an overkill. Good luck :^)

★ NEW DICE EFFECT ★

Mirror - Copies Value of next selected die Skip - Auto rolls to the next value Hardy - Heals on roll Doom - Extreme version of Cracked side Multiple Score Effect - From Dice Babies More snacks and trinkets linked to these effects will come in future updates.

★ CLOUD SAVES ★

Cloud saves between devices should work now. Let us know if they dont.

★ AND MORE ★

- Help overlay rules cheat sheet - Coloured text system - keywords highlighted automatically - Combos now prioritise higher points over number of dice - Dice Have No Mouths - Lower unlock prices for some - Stamp nerf - effect fades with time (don't crucify me pls) - Wizard shield reworked - blocks up to max bust amount of busts (I'll be good) - Lycheye applies to two-pair instead of pair (pls I have a family) - Jellies always advance forward to avoid easy infinite Cycle die loops - New secret combo - Oopsie dialogue in hopeless situations - Night mode toggle from options - Gamepad-compatible death's door screen - Bunch of wording fixes - Fixed all-bust check allowing rolls mid-logic (0 out 0 dice instant wipe) - Fixed item limit carrying between runs - Fixed corrupt save files crash - Fixed rare crash on game launch whilescrolling Let us know if it crashes and burns thx <3

Release Date!

The game will release on May 20th into Early Access. Tell your friends and family and all that.

Team

Playtesting & Discord

We're still sieving the game for trash and bugs. If you'd like help us out and also play the game early you can ask for playtesting access on our discord. We ask for honest feedback in return. Platforms

Windows - Full support. Game plays smoothest using mouse.
Steam Deck/Gamepad - Works, might be bit wonky. We're currently working on steamdeck support. Looking forward to feedback on it.
Linux - Works through proton. Will make a proper build past EA.
MacOS - No support for now. We will try to get it working soon, need to get our hands on a machine for testing.
