Price-drop Dynasty! 🎉 (More Updates on the Way!)

Hey, Everyone!

I wanted to give a quick update on Dewdrop Dynasty and where things are headed.

First, I’ve decided to lower the price from $19.99 to $11.99.

My goal has always been to make Dewdrop Dynasty polished, fun, and a great value. I know there are still bugs to fix and plenty of feedback to work through, but I’d rather make the game more affordable while I continue improving it.

(If you bought the game at the previous price, Steam will automatically refund you the difference. You don’t need to do anything!)

I also just want to say thank you. I’ve been really happy seeing people play, leave nice reviews, report the many bugs, and share their feedback.

My focus over the next couple of weeks is to:

Get the game more stable (Still a lot of bugs to work through)

Add better Controller Support & Cloud Saves

Work on implementing your feedback

Adding more content to the game

One last note: We’re currently working with Steam to make sure the new $11.99 price is showing correctly for everyone. A few people have reported still being charged the old $19.99 price, so please hang tight while we get that sorted out!

Hey Everyone, Thanks so much for all of the kind words and helpful feedback during this first week! Lots of fixes this week, and even more to come next week. One of the biggest bugs, which I think scared away a lot of players, was the Save File %. Originally, the total completion % was calculated purely based on rooms explored. So, some people only an hour into the game thought they had almost beaten it, which is crazy. Now, it factors in everything. This patch is mostly bug fixes, along with a quality-of-life feature.

Updated Completion % to factor in everything (not just rooms explored)
Fixed Blight Wolves soft lock
Fixed ground slash for Webulix so he doesn't appear outside of the room
Added the ability to skip boss cutscenes after seeing them once for Webulix, Bonsai Beetle, and the Final Boss (more to come)

Things we're going to address in the next week or so:

Adding Cloud Saves
Improving Wall Jumping
Recovering money after dying
Rebalancing and improving boss fights

Fixed an issue from the previous patch that prevented players from loading older save files.
Added the missing Mt. Melty map.
Removed unnecessary signs.
Fixed an issue where players could get stuck under the Web Ball.
Fixed autosave not properly saving Keys, Flitterflies, and Tickets.
The game is now Steam Deck Verified.
The Dash ability can now pick up Honey.
Fixed an issue where players had to use Time Stop again after passing the large Time Piece weight section.
Added a Save Flower before the Gizmo Parkour Room.
Fixed an issue where ground pounding while standing on the floor could glitch the player.
Fixed an issue where getting too close to the large weight could instantly kill the player.
Fixed several softlocks throughout the game.
Fixed the UFO Room softlock.

Hey, Everyone!

I wanted to give my sincere apologies to everyone for the delayed release.

For those who haven't heard, we ran into a minor issue with Steam the day before launch. We were missing artwork for a Steam Achievement. Even though I submitted the fix within minutes, Steam's review process is, unfortunately, not a quick one.

With that said, the good news is that as soon as we get approval, the game will go live. So fingers crossed that within the next day or so, you'll all be playing it.

Dewdrop Dynasty Demo is NOW Available!

After a few years of experimentation, conceptualization, and development, a full demo of Dewdrop Dynasty is now free to play! It has taken hundreds of challenging hours to get to this point. Many beta-testers cried to bring you this demo (thanks Goodgis patreon supporters and Firith team). But we're not done yet! The Kickstarter

In addition to releasing a playable demo, we have also launched a Kickstarter to further support the creation of Dewdrop! With your help, we can better pay our team and contributors to make this metroidvania 1000 times better than it currently is. Backing the Kickstarter will also help us port the game to platforms like the Nintendo Switch. By supporting us, not only are you pre-ordering Dewdrop Dynasty but receiving more rewards and value.
