Discord Status Setting: You can now choose whether Discord shows that you're playing Deskworm, or hides it completely.
DLC Fix: Fixed an issue where DLC items couldn't be received.
Big thanks to everyone who reported these. <3
Your worm is finally ready for its close-up. I've added a brand new Screenshot Tool, and to celebrate I'm running a little giveaway.
Screenshot Section: There's a new Screenshot section in the Settings menu with three buttons.
Open Screenshots Folder: Jump straight to the folder where your screenshots are saved.
Transparent Screenshot: Take a screenshot of your worm with a transparent background.
Steam Screenshot: Take a screenshot with a colored background that also shows up in Steam.
Shortcuts: You can also use the shortcuts listed next to the buttons. The game just needs to be focused for them to work.
To celebrate the new tool I'm giving away three DLCs: the Cyberpack, the Otter, and the Axolotl. There will be three winners, and each one gets a different DLC from those three, so no doubles. One winner gets Cyber, one gets Otter, and one gets Axolotl.
Take a screenshot of your worm in the game.
Upload it to Steam in the Deskworm forum.
Copy the link and post it on our Discord server in the #giveaway channel.
How Winners Are Picked: After the event ends, winners are drawn completely at random. Every screenshot that gets sent in has the same chance of winning!
Event Period: June 29, 2026 18:00 CEST (UTC+2) - July 12, 2026 22:00 CEST (UTC+2)
Winners will be announced on Discord.
Say cheese and Happy Wiggling!🪱
It's getting warmer, and since worms can't sweat, they're meeting up for relaxed evenings at the beach. The Summer Festival has begun and brings 25 new limited items with it!
25 New Limited Items: The Summer Festival adds 25 brand new limited items to collect during the event.
Event Drops: Throughout the event you have an 80% chance to get an extra Event Drop alongside your normal drops, either a Key or a Treasure Chest.
Treasure Chests: Use a Key to open a Treasure Chest and receive a random Event Item. Every Event Item has the exact same chance of appearing.
Item to Key Crafting: You can turn excess items into Event Keys. This mechanic is only available during the event period.
Master Keys: Turn excess Keys into Master Keys, which let you open Treasure Chests from future events.
Otter & Axolotl are no longer available as single items. I followed your advice and converted them into DLCs. If you already own them, you keep them. The switch is purely to simplify the buying process and let me run more regular discounts.
Event Period: The Summer Festival runs from Thursday, June 18 to Thursday, July 30, 2026 (20:00 UTC).
After the Event: Any items, Keys, and Treasure Chests you collect stay in your inventory once the event ends and can still be used.
Happy bathing and Happy Wiggling!🪱
Out of the pocket and into the soil! This update brings several quality of life changes and new skins.

Collection Spoilers: Added an option in the Collection to toggle spoilers. It is now possible to choose whether unowned items are fully visible or only shown as a silhouette.
Crafting Warning: Added a visual warning when placing Legendary Items into the crafting window.
Audio Fix: Resolved an issue where no sound played when a chest was ready to be claimed.
Timer Visibility: Fixed a visual bug causing the small timer window to partially appear underneath the worm.
Presets: Corrected an issue where presets were overwritten when multiple users played on the same PC.
Achievements: Fixed a bug preventing the +9 Achievement from triggering correctly.
Cyber Pack DLC is now available. Equip the worm with 2 completely new sets!
Have fun with the new update and remember: worm is friend, not food🪱🍔
A new update is ready for download. This patch introduces several new options and addresses various bugs to improve the overall gameplay experience.
Chest Popups: A new setting allows for the deactivation of treasure chest popups. Audio cues remain active if preferred. The chest remains accessible by double clicking the click counter in the pocket.
Click Tracking: Added an option to deactivate mouse click tracking. The worm reacts and counts only inputs from the keyboard or gamepad.

Pocket Icons: Added an option to hide icons in the pocket. These remain visible whenever the game is in focus.

The time has finally come! New items and expanded customization options are here!
New Item Types: Two new item types are ready to be equipped: "Face" and "Accessory". Beards and hats can now be worn at the same time!
Accessory Placement: Accessories fit right onto the Body or Tail. Each Body or Tail part can hold one accessory.
Outfit Presets: Up to 10 outfit presets can be saved. Change the look of the worm instantly!
Expanded Item Pool: A fresh batch of new items is now in the game.
Slot Unlocks: The new item slots can be unlocked using collected clicks.
Layout Update: The inventory layout received a small update to fit the new presets and items. It sits to the left of the main window now instead of above it, and it can be collapsed!
Slot Highlighting: Hovering over items in the inventory highlights the correct slots for equipping.
Quick Equip: Items can be equipped instantly with a quick right click in the inventory.
Just like all other items, the new additions drop normally every 30 minutes or can be crafted. Oiia Cat is no longer obtainable.
Please excuse the programmer art! The new accessories were drawn specifically for this update, which is a little bit embarrassing. A few more skins are still in the works and unfortunately missed the deadline for this patch. They will be added in upcoming updates!
Oh, and apologies for undressing your worms! All currently equipped items were reset during this update, so the worms will need to be dressed again.

Right-click items to quickly unequip them or move them to the Crafting / Upgrade window.
You can make the worm longer/shorter by equipping a Tail and moving it closer to the head.
The demo store page is now officially live on Steam.
In mid-December the demo will open for everyone, so you can finally try the game yourself and see how it feels in action.
