Attention, goblins! We’ve got a quick little update for you today, with some player-requested bug fixes and new rewards for the Ambassador program. - Leeches will no longer appear in Goldmoons for solo players. Sorry about that! - Pets are more loyal and less distractable, and should continue to follow even if someone else grabs them. You also can’t abandon them in the mines anymore! But we are giving you side-eye for doing that.
- And the fix no one was waiting for: no more mini versions of packages when they are taken in & out of inventories. Yes, it was hilarious. But it was bad for gameplay since it made packages harder to see and easier to lose.
- In-game rewards for our Ambassador program are rolling out! Check out the new Ambassador wall in the base, and keep an eye out for an exclusive crown item that will be given to our biggest supporters!
- Are you interested in joining the Ambassador program? Join our discord (discord.gg/deadlydelivery) and check out the #ambassador-program channel.
That’s all for today! Our dev team is taking some time off for a summer break, so updates won’t be as frequent for the next while.
Alright goblins, we’ve got some big changes for you today! In order to maximize efficiency and boost shareholder returns, we’re making adjustments to your workflows and operational parameters. We’re increasing the size of your work teams, we’ve enticed new dungeon residents to join our community, and we’ve somehow engineered a new weather system.
- Goblin teams can now contain up to SIX goblins! We expect you all to HELP each other survive and stop dying together so often. Training new goblins is inefficient and slow so you need to make it out of the dungeon! Help US to help YOU... to help our bottom line!
- You may get a Goldmoon event on the level selector - these mysterious new weather patterns make the residents a little more generous, and you’ll earn more money per package. However, they’re also making the dungeon inhabitants act a little strange…
- There are some new monsters in the dungeon - first up: Hobangoas (the Stalker). We don’t know much about this one yet, he’s a little hard to spot sometimes. I’m sure you’ll figure out a way to maximize shareholder value from this!
- Next monster: Venedigermandl (the Jester). He thinks he’s funny… you might not. Unless you find explosives funny, in which case he’s great!
- New work uniform option: Baby Troll heads. Show your loyalty to Barry, Larry, Garry, or George. See if it will fool them into not attacking you! (We disclaim any liability from testing this theory.)
- We’ve added achievements to Steam! Now you can slap your friends around FOR A REASON.
- Say goodbye to the Easter eggs - they’ve all been collected. Instead, you’ll find keys (or clues) to access the treasure room now.
- Speaking of the treasure room, it’s little less likely to appear now - the residents were unhappy with giving gold to lazy goblins for free!
- The Mama Nooter has returned to Ice Cave! Rejoice and/or tremble in your boots.
- The leeches will now draw players much closer to their holes when captured instead of trying to drag them in sideways or diagonally.
- There are also a couple small fixes around object ownership lag and lobby permissions breaking the shop.
That’s all for this week! Now go make the most of it - we hope this inspires you to maximize shareholder value.
Hello goblins and happy generic springtime holiday if you so choose to celebrate! You won’t be getting any holiday pay or time off work, though, so stop asking. So, what’s new? We’ve discovered a new location in the dungeon, and the Wolpertinger (Jackalope) is behaving a little differently.
- New possible room in Forest, Grotto, Cliffs and Ice Cave: the Treasure room! It won’t always appear, but it will be worth it to find when it does. The room won’t be easy to get into, and you’ll need to search the dungeon for keys or clues. The keys have a special Easter variant for now, so keep an eye out for them! They are pretty hard to miss though, they’re a little out of place. And what’s the treasure? Well… you’re going to need to get in to find out.
- Two new cosmetics this week - first, the Bunny Ears, for festive fun (these are unlockable with unlock stamps).
- And second, the Cool Fox suit, for just looking awesome (this is purchased with goblin gems - it’s at a discount for the next two weeks, so grab it soon!).
- The Wolpertinger is hopped up on chocolate eggs and moving a little more quickly. His doormat is now a bit bigger, and placing a package on it automatically triggers the door. The sugar high he’s on is bringing both good and bad things… bad: he has a new attack; good: he’s also now found his way into the party room!
- We’ve also made it so that if the Wolpertinger dies, he does not leave undelivered packages in a weird, ungrabbable state anymore.
Alright goblins, that’s all for this week. Back to work! Hop to it!
Greetings, goblins! Small update this week, mainly improvements to your working conditions.
We’re learning to trust your delivery skills as you get to higher weeks, so you’ll be given higher value packages. Don’t make us regret this.
We’ve managed to give the Monk some earplugs and he’ll be slightly less sensitive to some sounds, like bumping packages on the wall. He also won’t be able to hear quite as far. He’ll still hear you if you’re crashing around into things though!
New setting: You’ll now have the option to change the move direction to be oriented to your head (the current setting and default), or your left or right hand. This might help you keep an eye on Krampus while also running for your life.
Some other small fixes:
Fixed weird arrow trap placement in some Forest dungeons.
Fixed some bugs with slapping & grabbing, so it shouldn’t launch you in unexpected directions. Yes, this means no more launching your friends into space. RIP.
Fixed some enemy behaviour when frozen or tranquilized (Basilisk, Skinwalker, Exploder, Stone Queen, and Nooters).
Made the Immortal Snail more reliably deadly.
That’s all for this week. Break’s over, go make some deliveries!
Hello, goblins! There are lots of changes in the dungeons this week, including a couple new residents, a new item and new work uniform option, so let’s get to it:
There is a strange new mimic in the dungeons that takes the shape of a package. Be warned though, it seems a bit… bitey. Maybe we can sneak it in with someone’s deliveries…
We’ve had a new monster move into the neighborhood. Not sure yet if he’s going to open his door NICELY, as requested.
New item: You can now buy your own landmines, for dropping behind you when Krampus is following (and NOT to use on your fellow delivery goblins, the life insurance costs are getting out of control).
There should be somewhat fewer Krampuses (Krampii?) and some more variety of monsters and packages in early weeks.
And most importantly of all…
A new cosmetic! This beautiful slime drop appears to come from an ancient dungeon, far away… we’re told he likes to be called “Clarence”
Alright, enough chit chat, get back to work! AND DON’T BLOW UP YOUR TEAM WITH THOSE LANDMINES.
Attention, goblins! Quick update today:
New cosmetic: the Hazmat suit! This is a bonus for reaching weeks 6, 7, and 8 - one piece will unlock per week.
Some of the monsters will behave slightly different (hopefully better!) when frozen.
That’s it for now - we’re back to work on the next (bigger) update. Yes, we said it would be a quick update today. Back to work!
Version 1.0.12
Greetings, goblins! We’ve got some updates for you - a new area to explore, new and upgraded items, and some changes to your working conditions.
There’s a new room in the Bloodmoon levels (and also rarely in the Ice Caves) - the Mystery Room! It contains more doors… but may come at a price. Let us know on discord what you think!
Some doors now have fancy new microphones - you’ll need to tell them who you are & why you’re there before they’ll open up. Or sing them a song, recite a haiku, or really anything else.
Goblins who have been with the company longer are now eligible for (unpaid) overtime! We’re very generously giving you more time to complete your work during higher quota weeks. Don’t expect to be paid for that, though!
We’ve added a new item to the shop: the Door Reuser! This lets you deliver an additional package to a door.
We’ve improved the Roulette Gun to have 33% more ammo! Yes, that’s only one more bullet. Be thankful, you lazy goblins!
We’ve widened some of the passages in Ice Caves and fixed some other cramped areas so it’s easier to get around.
We’ve spoken to the Nutcrackers (a.k.a. Red Light Green Light) and they should stop crowding the doorways (and each other) now.
There are some small changes in signage in the Judgment Room.
We’ve had some… conversations with dungeon residents that failed to pay up and made it clear that it shouldn’t be happening. Let us know if it does, it hurts our profits.
That’s it for now! Here’s hoping the longer days, new items and new locations help you meet quota and improve our bottom line… or we may need to adjust the terms of your loan.
Hello, goblins! We are coming back from Christmas break refreshed and recharged, so thank you for your patience. It’s too bad you all had to make those deliveries over Christmas!
We’ve heard all your feedback on discord and social media and we’re doing some things to address some of your working conditions, especially around annoying co-workers, various delivery issues, and the inability some of you have to just stand still. This update also includes two new delivery uniforms.
Lobby hosts can now restrict certain activities like using the day start/end switch and buying items, in addition to the previous gambling restriction. Find these in the Lobby section of the settings! Hopefully this makes public lobbies have more goblins and fewer trolls.
Add a touch of joy and whimsy to your day with new Austrian Male and Austrian Female outfits! Because the residents have lost their Christmas spirit, and joy and whimsy will be in short supply in the dungeon. Both outfits are purchased with unlock stamps, so go grind some levels!
For those of you whose controllers make you more fidgety than you’d like, we’ve increased the default dead zone and added a setting where you can adjust it further. If you’ve got stick drift, please try this out and let us know if it helps!
We’ve moved progression to our own cloud save as it was sometimes not super reliable on the previous service we were using. This should stop you from losing all your unlocked items and stamps.
In-game news can now be seen on the wall in the lobby selector room. Check it out for the latest updates!
We put away the Christmas decorations. Yes, we know it’s late, but we were catching up on rest, relaxation, and eating delicious soup since we were fixing bugs right up to Christmas (and over the break!). The Christmas cosmetics will stay available in the shop.
The LIV tablet has some quality of life improvements, a potential fix for some streaming issues… oh, and we enabled it on Quest 2!
Enabled the vignette at the default level for new players.
Various bug fixes including certain sounds not stopping when you leave the lobby (announcer, instruments, and parcels spawning), the review button being activated by other players, and some fixes for a startup crash and Quest Pro controller issues on PCVR.
Alright, enough reading - back to work, lazy goblins! We hope your deliveries are not too deadly. It gets expensive to replace you if they are.
Alright goblins, time for another update! We’ve scouted out a route to a brand new location for you to deliver to.
Introducing: the Ice Caves! This brand new area has some different obstacles for you to navigate, and some monsters may behave differently in this environment.
We’ve asked certain monsters to tone it down a little with our delivery goblins or they won’t get any more packages, and you should feel like delivering is now a little less deadly.
To balance it out and make things more deadly all around, monsters can now trigger landmines and be damaged by explosions.
Krampus has all of the dungeon’s residents into a holiday mood, and their doors have been decorated accordingly. Some of the doors will even give you a present!
There is a new upgrade available for the base which will allow you to magically retrieve one of your coworkers out of the dungeon.
Various fixes: fix for black screen during gameplay, fix for players dying when jumping down in some sections, fix for the big parcels glitching out and never returning.
That’s all for now. We hope you enjoy the new area and it helps you make those quotas! Our team will be off for a bit of a break and we’ll see you in the new year. Your schedule is unchanged though! Get back to work.
Now, off to see if we can find out where that strange “noot” sound is coming from…
Christmas season has arrived for Deadly Delivery Corporation!
You’ll notice a few gifts mixed in with your normal packages. Be EXTRA careful with these. Or not, they don’t pay any better.
Krampus is in a festive mood and is dressed for the occasion.
Three new Christmas hats are available as an alternative to your basic delivery uniform.
There is a cardboard Christmas tree in the base. If you generate enough profits by next year, we will consider upgrading it to a plastic Christmas tree.
There are now some candles in the base which will helpfully count down the number of goblins left alive (and not the weeks to Christmas).
You can now stream directly from the LIV tablet!
HR has stepped in and insisted we include some new anti-harassment warnings and reporting flows. I know this doesn’t seem related to Christmas, but it’s a precaution before any holiday parties get out of hand.
The lobby list will now show more lobbies, so you can find your ideal work crew.
Now, you’re probably asking, why is this called the Jingle Butts edition? Well, we have an update that absolutely no one asked for: the Wiggly Butt cosmetic. This is yours for free, as long as you claim it before December 22nd. Don’t say we didn’t give you a Christmas bonus!
Alright goblins, enough chit chat. We’ve got some more moderation improvements, bug fixes, balancing, and more content to work on. Time for you to get back out there and make those quotas! And we have to get cracking to open that northern mountain route next week…
Hello Goblins! I hope you’re all enjoying your new jobs and settling in at Deadly Delivery Corporation. We’ve made quite a few improvements to the working conditions over the past week, and there’s more to come!
We’ve found and fixed some bugs:
Doors to the base would sometimes not open - obviously top priority, since you can’t increase shareholder value from inside the base.
Dungeon selector would get stuck occasionally - the illusion of choice is important to maintain employee morale!
Everyone looked like they started with 5000 gems, when it was really 200 gems. Sorry for making you feel rich temporarily!
Your work history (XP) would sometimes reset - you should be set to the correct level now.
Goblins already at level 50 wouldn’t get new unlock stamps and some other level 50 issues. Honestly, we had no idea anyone would survive until level 50.
Fixed some crashes when joining lobbies - you being late to work is no longer our fault.
Do you see any other bugs? Please report them in the #bug-and-issues channel on our discord.
That’s all for now, goblins! But we’ll see you soon with some festive updates… if you keep meeting those quotas.
It’s finally here, goblins! Time to explore the mines, run from monsters, and DELIVER THOSE PACKAGES!
We’re excited to announce that our new game Deadly Delivery is out now - prepare to explore dark and dangerous mines, escape from monsters, and work together with your friends to deliver packages and make your quota! Or, just slap each other into pits and stick “kick me” signs on each other’s backs. You’ll have fun either way!
With Deadly Delivery, we wanted to make a fun, social experience that would have incredible replayability and would feel fresh whether you’re on your first run or your hundredth.
Our mines are procedurally generated, meaning there are nearly infinite combinations of layouts in our six locations. Ramps, ladders, and bridges that may or may not last add to the possibilities by adding a vertical dimension to the space.
In addition to the ever-changing mines, there are numerous hazards: monsters that don’t take kindly to you being in their space, traps that can kill you, even residents who are wildly ungrateful about the packages you’ve brought them. Luckily you can revive your goblin friends after they’ve run straight into a landmine!
For our monsters, we’ve taken inspiration from the folklore of Austria and surrounding areas - Krampus resides here when not terrorizing children at Krampusnacht. We have doppelgangers lurking in the mines, waiting for an opportunity when you get separated from your friends. And the friendly, waving changeling who just wants a friend, but will turn murderous if she doesn’t get one.
Along with the core gameplay, we’ve added some fun touches to bring whimsy to your job as a delivery goblin, like goofy pets to help you carry things, a wheel of chance to risk all your earnings on, and helium balloons that actually work as intended! (They don’t float, they just make your voice go all squeaky. They do make YOU floaty though!)
We’ve had an incredible time playing with our community in our Betas this year. Watching people laughing and screaming together, celebrating wins, and agonizing over losses was incredibly inspiring for our team, and we’re very excited to get everyone back in and having fun together today. We can’t wait to recruit more delivery goblins!
Prerecorded: A Wolf in VR plays Deadly Delivery. Show him some love on his aweseom youtube channel:
It's almost here, goblins! You can start your exciting new delivery career on December 4th - just two weeks away!
Did you previously complete an internship with the Deadly Delivery Corporation? Well, time to step up your game! We've got four new environments, new enemies, new packages, and fun new... challenges inside the dungeon! Yes, let's go with challenges.
Didn't previously complete an internship? That's ok, we're sure you can handle it! (And if not, there are plenty of other goblins once you die... er, quit!)
We're sure you can't wait to venture into the dungeon and greet all its inhabitants (including these little monsters), and DELIVER THOSE PACKAGES!
