First of all — thank you. I can’t really overstate how much the reviews, comments, messages, and general support mean. Seeing people still play and enjoy DEAD TRASH means a lot, more than I’m probably good at putting into words.
This update focuses on a few fixes, tweaks, and a long-requested addition.
Achievements Steam Achievements are finally here! There are 23 achievements in total, covering progression, secrets, and some very questionable behavior. If something doesn’t unlock properly or behaves strangely, please let me know and I’ll take a look.
Level flow One thing I kept noticing was players getting lost very early on. To help with that: - Part of Level 1 is now blocked off, making progression clearer instead of running in circles - A few barrels were added in a secret area as a fallback, in case someone manages to get stuck - Advancing to the next level now happens automatically once the final bosses are killed, instead of requiring keycards No redesigns — just less confusion.
Combat tweaks - Enemies now fire actual projectiles — no more hitscan shooting - Reduced reload time for the shotgun - Boss fixes and tweaks
Gore & loot - Improved and more visceral gore - Trash now drops more randomized loot
Engine update The game has been updated to a newer version of the engine. This should improve overall stability and hopefully fix a number of underlying bugs, but if anything new or broken shows up, please let me know.
Patch notes: - Added 23 Steam Achievements - Boss fixes and tweaks - Advancing to the next level now happens automatically after killing the final bosses - Enemies now shoot projectiles instead of hitscan - Reduced shotgun reload time - Improved gore - Trash now drops more randomized loot - Blocked off part of Level 1 to prevent players getting lost - Added jumpable barrels to avoid getting stuck in a secret area - Updated the game engine
Thanks again to everyone who’s supported DEAD TRASH so far. If you’ve enjoyed the game and haven’t left a review yet, it genuinely helps with visibility and feedback. Back to the trash. — Kjetil / Crowhill Studios
Operation Yellow Snow is a short, grindhouse-style holiday mini-campaign set in the Dead Trash universe. When an elite hazmat patrol vanishes inside the quarantined Christmas District, Commander Dalton — a senior special-operations officer in charge of Infection Control Enforcement — launches an unauthorized one-man rescue mission into the frozen hell. The area was supposed to be routine cleanup. Instead, the government’s own containment barrels — filled with collected toxic bio-sludge — have chemically reacted with the district’s dirty snow.
The result is a volatile, mutating slush that’s driven the local crazies even further off the deep end. Snowmen stagger through the streets, Santa cultists claw at anything that moves, and infected mascots wander the ruins like broken holiday nightmares.Your team disappeared somewhere inside this mess.HQ considers them “expendable losses.”Dalton doesn’t.Fight through a collapsing holiday zone overrun by mutated decorations, deranged survivors, and government mistakes buried under ice.
