This update brings UI improvements and bug fixes that we identified and resolved with the help of our community. Thank you for your feedback!
Slightly updated the UI for building production
Updated the dashboard
Added sound for Hero abilities
Fixed an issue where hungry villagers would sometimes stand AFK near the kitchen
Fixed an issue where the progress bar for outposts wouldn't fill when trading (or gathering resources)
Fixed an issue where monster packs wouldn't attack outposts
Fixed an issue where the max button in shift management would overlap with the shift toggle
Fixed an issue where the icon for an unassigned resource would disappear after upgrading warehouses
Restored the functionality of jumping to the "Pack" alert on the global map via the problem panel
Fixed quests freezing when two fleets arrived at the same point of interest simultaneously — both are now registered correctly (also fixed skywalker travel-time display to account for upgrades).
Outposts no longer take fog damage once the light dome is built and active.
Fixed progression stalling where new quests and events stopped appearing.
Fixed Chapter 5 failing to start (no dialogues or quests appearing).
The "Find allies" quest task now shows a proper description instead of the placeholder text "Triggers/CH3Qe7_Task1".
The "Dominion in the skies" quest no longer locks up — fixed a config issue that spawned a regular swarm instead of the required fleet.
Restored the missing final slide of the Sorago refugees event (the "silently order the attack" option).
Fixed citizen pathfinding so people no longer get stuck and starve near building extensions.
Assigned a separate key for Luminaris purification mode so "R" once again only rotates buildings during construction.
The third letter event no longer triggers twice.
Farms no longer show a false resource-depletion warning asking you to designate a new area.
Fixed the building description being hidden behind the work-area button.
Clicking the threatening swarm indicator at the top of the screen now focuses the camera on the swarm.
Removed the erroneous mention of defeating the Ghost in the southernmost (food) point of interest description.
Fixed a game freeze caused by moving/demolishing multiple buildings with roads at once.
Demo saves can no longer be loaded in the full version and vice versa — an incompatibility message is now shown instead (prevents crashes and freezes).
Players experiencing issues loading save files are asked to start the game over or load a previous save file. We apologize for the inconvenience.

High above the fog, where the air still carries a hint of sunlight, rise the Tree-Cities, vast living fortresses grown on the backs of the Ardentis, the Trees of Light. Here dwell the Arelians, a people who built their civilization not on the ground but among the branches that reach for the sky. Each Tree-City is its own world, a maze of bridges, platforms, and wooden towers woven around trunks that emit a faint light. Some cities hold ten thousand people, while others are close to a hundred thousand. This count includes the suburbs located just below. The Arelians are not one nation but many. Every tree has its own rulers - councils, lords or kings who claim power through wisdom or wealth.
The greatest of them all is Sorago, the shining city of twelve houses. Its Archon and council govern the skies and oversee distant outposts led by appointed Ethnarchs. Yet even Sorago’s reach has limits; the shroud isolates the cities, and slow airships must travel vast, dangerous distances between them.Arelian society resembles a pyramid. At its peak sit the Archon, nobles, and admirals who command fleets of skywalkers. Below them work scientists, artisans, and traders - minds and hands that keep the cities alive. Then come the Rangers, soldiers and explorers who descend into the fog when no one else dares. Beneath them live the mudfolk - those who gather food and resources on the ground, living half their lives in shadow. At the bottom are the people who do not contribute to society - beggars, refugees, and exiles.Arelian technology shines with a unique blend of craft and mystery - gears, wood, and remnants of the ancient world combined through knowledge that approaches sorcery. Coal and gas fuel their forges, while Solar, the burning sap of the Trees of Light, powers their greatest machines. Their skywalkers soar through the skies, while ballistae and clockwork engines hum with a rhythm known only to their creators.Join our Discord to learn more about DarkSwitch! - https://discord.gg/FaP9KBdtq2

Their weapons that function much like crossbows, compact enough for use in cramped airship hulls, and melee weapons built to pierce chitin, armor, or worse.
Though great wars are now memories of the past, the peace is fragile. The mighty city of Sorago, victor of the old War of Tree-Cities, tightens its grip on its colonies, fearful of rebellion. Rival cities, like Elaran, experiment with forbidden ways to fight the shroud - ways that Sorago calls theft, or worse, heresy. The Arelians fight not only each other but the world itself. Their machines hum above the endless twilight, and their soldiers fly beneath skies that never clear. Every flight, every battle, is a reminder that survival on Nelaai is not granted - it is earned.Join our Discord to learn more about DarkSwitch! - https://discord.gg/FaP9KBdtq2
