While we continue supporting Dark Dominion with updates, fixes and future content, we also want to share the first glimpse of our next dark project.
Welcome to the year 2050.
The remains of the Soviet world have been consumed by a horrific plague. Entire cities are abandoned, industries are dead, and the streets are filled with madness, decay and violence. Civilization collapsed under the weight of an unknown virus that turned the world into a nightmare.
You play as Maxim Painov — an exhausted alcoholic trying to survive inside the ruins of a dying country.
But survival is not enough.
Something created this catastrophe. Someone destroyed the world.
Maxim begins a brutal journey through ruined Soviet megacities, underground laboratories, military zones and forgotten industrial sectors to uncover the truth behind the virus and those responsible for the fall of humanity.
Dark PGT 2 will continue our love for oppressive atmosphere, old-school game design and dark worlds inspired by the feeling of games from the late 2000s era.
This is only the beginning.
The game will be released in Fall 2026!
More information and screenshots coming soon.

“Dark Dominion is being created by a small team inspired by the atmosphere and challenge of classic games from the past.
We will continue improving the game, listening to the community, and expanding this dark world long after release.”
Hello everyone!
We continue to actively work on improving Dark Dominion, and today we are sharing another list of important fixes and improvements.
In this update, we have done a lot of work on game optimization. We improved overall stability across different locations, reduced system load in several areas, and continued fixing issues that could cause FPS drops, freezes, or unstable performance.
We also spent a lot of time working on level collisions. Many places where the character could get stuck in walls, corners, stairs, objects, or parts of the environment have been fixed. Movement through the world should now feel more stable and predictable.
Special attention was also given to the save system. We fixed issues related to creating two or more characters, which could previously cause incorrect loading, broken saves, or teleporting the character to the wrong location. Working with multiple save files should now be much more stable.
— Major optimization work has been done across the game. — Many problematic collision issues in different locations have been fixed. — Reduced the number of situations where the player could get stuck. — Improved enemy AI behavior. — Enemies now react more correctly to the player and the environment. — Fixed save issues related to having two or more characters. — Improved save loading stability. — Many animations are now smoother. — Improved transitions between some animations. — Improved character responsiveness in certain gameplay situations. — Fixed various minor UI issues. — Fixed several object interaction problems. — Performed additional technical cleanup inside the project. — Improved overall game stability.
We understand that there are still things in the game that need more work after release. Our team carefully reads your reviews, bug reports, and comments. Your feedback helps us find problems faster and continue improving the game.
Thank you to everyone who stays with us, reports bugs, and helps make Dark Dominion better.
Work on the next fixes is already in progress.
Dark Dominion — Bug Fix Update
Hello everyone!
We have released a new bug fix update for Dark Dominion, focused on improving the interface, controls, animations, and overall game stability.
Interface and Controls Fixes
- Fixed an issue where pressing ESC did not always close the inventory or equipment window correctly. The key now works more consistently and no longer causes menu overlap.
- Fixed a bug where the equipment window could remain stuck on the screen above other UI elements, blocking the player’s view. Reopening the menu should no longer cause widgets to overlap or freeze.
- Fixed incorrect slot selection order in the equipment menu, for example when switching between items or trying to equip gear. Slot selection now works in a more consistent and predictable way, as intended.
Gameplay and Animation Improvements
- Fixed several issues related to certain skills and their animations.
- Increased the speed of knockback and dodge animations by 20%, making movement and combat feel more responsive.
Localization
- Fixed part of the Chinese localization issues. Around 30% of the known Chinese translation problems have been corrected so far, and we will continue improving it in future updates.
Other Improvements
- At the beginning of the game, the knight who gives the player the first equipment is now highlighted, making it easier for new players to understand where to go.
- Improved several minor UI, sound, and gameplay-related issues.
We are continuing to work on bug fixes, improvements, optimization, and player feedback.
Thank you for staying with us and helping us make Dark Dominion better!

We are continuing to work on fixing the remaining issues reported by players. Thank you for your patience, support, and feedback — it helps us improve the game step by step.
Hello everyone!
First of all, thank you to everyone playing Dark Dominion and sharing your impressions after release. We are a small team, and it means a lot to us to see players stepping into this dark world after several years of hard work.
We are carefully reading your reviews, discussions, and comments. We are truly happy that many of you are enjoying the atmosphere, world, bosses, and story. At the same time, we understand that some aspects still need improvement — especially combat responsiveness, controller support, lock-on behavior, and the pacing of the opening sections.
Right now, our main priority is preparing the first post-launch update focused on the most important gameplay improvements and quality-of-life changes. We are currently working on the following:
• improving combat responsiveness and the overall feel of combat; • adjusting dodge roll timings and animation behavior; • improving lock-on range and stability; • fixing controller support issues; • improving the pacing of the opening areas and cutscenes; • fixing bugs, polishing the UI, and improving various interactions reported by players.
We want Dark Dominion to become a stronger, more polished, and more enjoyable experience, and your feedback helps us understand what we should focus on first.
Once again, thank you for your support, criticism, patience, and honesty. We will soon share more details about the first update.
