Greetings Cryptid Keepers! Here are details for the latest updates and improvements on the game!
This is the last update before Version 1.2.0 is released (more info below on v.1.2.0)
Gameplay Additions:
Added Cryptids on World Map: Added a variety of Cryptids which now appear and can be hunted on the World Map. Adding a greater variety for hunting, and adds life to the world map. Not all cryptids are available like this on the map, some can only be found with traps and radar pings.
Added back-end code changes to help make the game run even smoother.
UFO Mystery Encounter changed to be a little less rare on the map. (Only a little! Look for an orange '?' on your minimap and head towards it.
Bugs Fixed:
Fixed out of bounds glitch on bottom of world map (For good this time!)
Fixed Mantis Aliens not showing up in their Cosmos Centre enclosures between game sessions.
Fixed game-breaking bug: Timer issue in 'Space Expedition' Scene which would not spawn map collectables (Duskleaf, Grimberry, Shadowvine) and also the bug removed bonuses (eg. River Crossing Boat).
Fixed Dropbear Herbivore/Carnivore bug.
Fixed Breeding Pen issue where if 2 Cryptids were previously added, then restarting game, it wouldn't let the player add ingredients to start the breeding.
Fixed Special Tranquilisers (Vampire Tranqs) not carrying across game sessions.

A small number of players reported that the game would not launch correctly on Steam Deck.
While native Linux and SteamOS support was initially enabled, this configuration proved unreliable on Steam Deck despite multiple fixes.
To ensure the best experience, the game now runs via Proton, which resolves the launch issues on Steam Deck and Linux systems.
If you have and issues. Proton versions can be selected manually via:
Right-Click on Game in Library→ Properties → Compatibility:
Thank you to everyone who reported the issue and helped identify the solution.
