Since we just love you guys so much, we decided to remove the need to complete a level before unlocking custom games for it. YOU WELCOME!

Changed so you no longer need to complete a level to start a custom game on it.
Fixed liquid in bottles no longer disappearing when bottles are turned upside down.
Fixed an issue where some crafted objects were sometimes automatically dropped.
Fixed the distiller allowing too many items to be crafted.
Fixed the distiller not unlocking Fort and Perfume for missions and the journal.
Fixed the “unlock all” option in custom games so everything is available for missions and the journal.
Changed the crucible so it can no longer be held with two hands.

After months of clucking about it, the day has come.
We’ve opened beta test channels so you can finally crack open the upcoming Custom Game Mode before it rolls out to everyone.
This mode lets you bend the rules of New Yolk City until they squeak. Want total chaos? Go for it. Want a peaceful shop with zero cops?
Your coop, your rules.
Right-click the game in your Library
Select Properties
Open Game Versions and Beta
Choose the branch custom-game-mode
Update Prison Boss Prohibition
You’ll be able to cook up your own runs with options like: • Select up to 6 factions • Select up to 5 suppliers • Limitless cash register (no need to hide your cash in chests anymore) • Choose your starting money and reputation • Unlock everything immediately • Turn cops off entirely • Enable Daily Search (pull the clock early and a turbo cop will come to search your shop for any non-hidden illegal items) • Endless mode • No time limit for phases • The ability to spawn items (THAT'S CHEATING!)
Basically: total control over your smuggling empire.

Hey there bosses,
We've got an interesting update for you all today.
As I mentioned in the last patch notes, we've worked on a rework of the grabbing mechanic to create less frustration when grabbing items that are in a tight space or very close together. We also made the distance grab more generous and reactive and added a clear line to aim at the items you want to grab. We've also added a crouch button for all the people having issues when reaching for lower drawers like the chest or the oven's ash drawer.
Here are the full patch notes:
Close grab places the hand on the object and allows precise or fast movement
Distance for close grab is slightly shorter
Precise line for grabbing items on the ground has been added
Distance grab teleports the item to the player
Distance grab max distance is much further
You can now crouch and stand up by pressing the controller joysticks (only in seated/standing mode)
Fixed the bribing that wouldn't show the same message for the 2nd player.
Fixed money duplication in multiplayer.
Fixed that after loading a multiplayer save, some crafting steps were completed for player 1 but not for other players.
Fixed items that could mysteriously disappear forever when touching the ground at the docks and in the park.
Fixed the grindstone blueprint not always being visible.
Attempted fix for the bug where interactions with furniture in multiplayer could break the hands.
Attempted fix for the mold and the pot where their gravity could suddenly change direction.

Hello there boss birds!
It's been a little longer than usual since our last patch, but this one is a big one that addresses a lot of little crashes and issues still present in the game.
We've also added a way for us to check your saves and identify bugs and crashes much better!
Here are the full patch notes:
The crucible now only accepts a single ingredient since it has no recipes that require multiple ingredients.,
Containers that accept ingredients could detect ingredient additions multiple times and stop functioning properly.,
Crafted items that have just been completed with the typewriter and the screen printer can now immediately be used in other crafting recipes.,
Fixed an error when destroying items that had active audio, which could cause black screens during scene transitions.,
Fixed an error when transforming or destroying items that could make the hands involved or the related crafting unusable.,
Fixed an error in containers that can hold ingredients which could cause a black screen during scene transitions.,
Restored the missing audio associated with the new barrel.,
Updated the images associated with the new barrel.,
Fixed a black screen during scene transitions caused by spawning customers or objects while changing scenes.,
Fixed the Gopnik outfit leaving a black hole where the player’s neck should be.,
Fixed an error in the save process that could prevent changing the time of day.,
Fixed an error in multiplayer lobbies that could prevent a game from starting.,à
Fixed the multiplayer scene transition process that could leave players stuck on black screens.,
Police in the park and downtown have been slowed down. Their maximum speed is now the same as in other levels, but their minimum speed is slightly faster.,
When a bug is reported, the involved player can now indicate when the issue occurred in addition to their ID, allowing support to attempt to retrieve the save file and isolate the exact problem.,
Fixed ingredients in hidden containers that could be confiscated by the police.,
Fixed faucet audio continuing to play running water sounds when switching from day to evening and the water stops.,
Fixed VFX being spammed when certain crafts are completed, such as with the typewriter.,
Fixed a multiplayer bug where changing the time of day while a player was holding the catalog could leave a functional invisible catalog stuck in their hands.,
Fixed a multiplayer bug where fermenting beer could reappear after being confiscated.
We're also working on a rework of the grab mechanic to cause less chaos and explosions all around. It should come out at some point this week or the next.
That hopefully helps the players who get frustrated when their stuff flies across the shop when they're just trying to hide everything before the cops arrive.

We have another update for you today - update 1.5.9 is now live, bringing you even more bug fixes!
Fixed a bug that prevented certain crafts from completing on the anvil.
Fixed an issue where claws would reappear after closing the system menu while wearing a cosmetic that hides them.
Fixed an issue where invisible hiding spots could appear after furniture was packed back into a box.
In Scrambleton, the train no longer spawns characters at the start of a run who are unable to buy anything.

HEY THERE Y'ALL! Our new update brings some bug fixes and improvements, thanks to your reports! You can find the patch notes below.
Fixed an issue that prevented players from changing the time of day if they were caught by the police, returned to the hideout, and started a new run.
Coal is now available in all game scenes once it has been unlocked in the hideout.
Hammer strikes now count double when the object being hit is placed on the anvil.
The Industrial Hammer now crafts items twice as fast.
Fixed a very rare issue that could occur if a fermentation recipe completed while changing the time of day.
Fixed an issue that occurred if a fermentation recipe was in progress when the player was caught by the police.

Another update to fix some issues was pushed today. Hopefully this stabilizes the experience further for you all!
The Prison Boss logo no longer covers the safety warning.
The train in Scrambleton now only drop off customers during the day.
The secret “floor zone” near the counter in Scrambleton (where the police couldn’t see illegal items) has been removed.
Similar items are grouped together in the police confiscation message.
The accelerated unlock availability for multiplayer and cosmetics is back.
Fixed a bug where the fence and the supplier sometimes wouldn’t come to the counter.
Fixed a bug that could occur when immediately interacting with a newly created item.
Fixed a possible black screen when loading a save after selling the initial furniture.
Fixed a faucet issue where the running water sound could play during dusk if the faucet was open but no water was flowing.
Fixed an error that could prevent items from spawning.

It's time to meet with you all by the forge, to grind and shine. Today, we are happy to drop our second DLC - Grind & Shine! Grind & Shine has everything a Blacksmith can dream of - a hot forge, hammers, gold bars and sometimes a train passing by.. yeah. Don't you like staring at trains?
Step into the smog‑filled streets of Scrambleton, where the train rumbles past boarded‑up warehouses and the scent of molten gold hangs in the air.
In this latest DLC for Prison Boss Prohibition, you’ve aligned yourself with The Eggsploiters. They are the city’s richest gold‑mine tycoons, dripping in wealth and razor‑sharp ambition.
Now, you’ll craft items of gleaming metal, hammering out opportunity beneath the glow of your forge, while delivering high‑stakes goods to eggs walking the streets of this industrial stronghold. Forge, grind, shape, and polish whatever you can sell, but make sure the law doesn’t catch you red‑hot!

New Faction - The Eggsploiters: Wealthy mine‑owners, ruthless businessmen, and your new patrons.
New Level: Scrambleton, a gritty 1930s rail‑town where industry meets underground deals.
New Tools: Master the anvil, forge oven, ring mold, grindstone, and more.
New Crafts: Create gold bars, gemstones, rings, bracelets, watches, knives, wrenches, razors, and other forged goods to serve the city’s factions.
There is now a variety of male and female police officers.
NEW FEATURE - You can throw money (random value between $8 and $13 inclusive) at the police to bribe them and make them turn back. Be careful, you might get caught if you miss when your money respawns on the counter.
Attempted fix for the still.
Intermediate crafted items can all be sold for $1. You can also sell tools that contain intermediate crafted items.
Female characters now always have a female voice in multiplayer.
Containers that hold other items are now saved with their contents — there is no longer a loss when reloading a save.
It is no longer possible to heat items inside a container independently of the container itself.
Liquid icons are easier to read in the hint layer.
Cranks on tools should feel nicer to use.
The multiplayer and cosmetics availability acceleration was removed again because the bug with having trouble with friends lists was still possible.
Added completion VFX when items are done heating/cooking.
Cannot pick up ash with the shovel outside of the oven's ash drawer.
Items on the floor behind the counter of Scrambleton cannot be seen by cops.

A new patch for you all that speeds up the boot sequence of the game a lot. The Fence will also stop showing up and talking nonsense if it's not your first time playing the level! Another cool addition is the speed option for locomotion and rotation. It was requested a lot!

Fixed a bug that allowed trying to roll paper without tobacco, which would break the paper.
Added a saucepan to the list of required ingredients for the cake recipe.

It is now possible to choose your rotation and movement speed in locomotion mode.
Locomotion options are now available in-game.
Fixed known bugs where drawers didn’t always count as a SafeZone.

Game + partner logos and the safety warning have been combined to reduce startup time.
After completing a level, the Fence no longer comes to visit.

Playing multiple levels in a row without quitting the game could cause various errors (now fixed).

Hey y'all, a quick patch to fix some issues with friend codes and invites we introduced in 1.4.5 while trying to speed up the connection to UGS services.

The accelerated availability of multiplayer and cosmetics in the hideout has been temporarily disabled while unintended changes to friend codes are being fixed.,

Hey y'all, a first patch for the birds with some network changes that might affect the multiplayer experience.
We've added some checks to make sure crafts are well synchronized between players and that can create some delays between the moment the craft is done and the moment the item actually transforms. Let us know how things feel!

Fixed an issue where the vendor might not provide a catalog;
Fixed an issue that could prevent the catalog from returning to the counter when thrown out of the shop;
Fixed a black screen that could occur when loading saves where initial furniture had been sold;
Fixed a potential crash when changing scenes or when the headset goes to sleep while the game is running;
Game loading and scene transitions have been sped up.
Improved the network synchronization system for crafting. It should now be more reliable, at the cost of a slight delay when crafting states change in multiplayer;
Multiplayer and cosmetic availability in the hideout is now faster;
Added manual region selection for India and South Africa. These could already be used via automatic selection, but not manually until now.

Hey fyolks, time for a quick patch before the team goes in sleep mode for the holidays.
Check out these patch notes for the latest update:
It was previously possible to join a session already in progress, which caused a wide variety of errors. This has been fixed;
Fixed multiple cases where removing and reinviting players could lead to a black screen when launching a multiplayer session;
Player 4’s multiplayer panel now correctly displays information;
Player 4’s microphone now functions as intended;
Both recipe books now allow all 4 players to select and follow a recipe using the hint layer;
The hint layer is now fully functional for players 3 and 4.
Benches in front of shops in the park area now resize properly with the shops;
Fire-based elements no longer cause unpredictable errors.,
When a LIV camera is active, the spectator view now follows the selected LIV camera. You can toggle between the traditional spectator view and the LIV camera using either Enter key;
The Steam spectator window can now be resized manually.

Hey everyone, time for a quick patch after coming back from the first 4 player co-op weekend.
Take a beak at these patch notes for the latest update:
Both supplier catalogs can now be used by all co-op players
Reduced lag spikes, which were becoming more frequent and worse as the number of players increased
Better liquid synchronization between co-op players
Fixed an issue where the tutorial could be broken by selling something to the Fence instead of removing its bag
