Greetings to all survivors!
We continue to actively work on Terra Trials and are ready to share our progress so far. This report covers the key systems and content already implemented in the current version of the game. This is not a final list, but a snapshot of what we've accomplished during the last development phase.Implemented an arena system — special zones with restrictions (e.g., for boss battles).
Reworked back wall logic — walls now only place within the room perimeter; rooms have been converted to a tile-based system.
Roofs are now functional blocks, not just decoration.
Added new indestructible blocks for the boss arena.
The first boss — Stone Crusher — is fully ready: model, animation, arena, and entrance portal.
Added two variants of night mobs — ranged and melee.
Fully implemented the Pyreling Microbiome — an underground ecosystem with textures, flora, and unique chests.
Overhauled spawn logic: mobs no longer cluster in one spot or get stuck on stairs.
armor, weapons, building materials, food, components, animal/plant/mineral resources, and accessories. Each chest now has a resource-type emblem, and the total number of chests in the world has been rebalanced.
Added female survivor animations — including clothing and armor.
Animated: tannery bench, chests, barrels, and beds.
Redesigned tree trunks, healing herbs, and icons for accessories and potions.
Added particle effects for resource gathering and slime.
Implemented the ability to place and remove map markers.
Added a vertical liquid scale for barrels.
Created a character window displaying skill progress.
Completed buff localization.
Audio settings now correctly save between sessions.
Added new accessories, including X-ray goggles.
Introduced fragmentation grenade with explosion effects.
Added salt to food recipes.
Fully implemented chitin armor and blowpipe.
Rebalanced merchant prices and fixed pod shop inventory persistence.
Tree resources now glow at night for better visibility.
Leaf fall is now tied to the presence of trees.
Torches extinguish underwater, and thunder sounds no longer play deep underground.
The minimap now correctly displays explored areas.
Cave entrances now generate with natural openings.
Let's imagine for a moment how our dwarves' civilization might have begun...
Did primitive dwarves sit in hides by their campfires in caves, frightened by every rustle in the night? Or perhaps — quite the opposite — they were an aggressive young race, chasing small and large dinosaurs through the jungle thickets and bashing them on the heads with massive femur bones?
Either way — the choice will be yours in the new Primal Craft expansion, which is already in full swing at our studio.
This story is a prequel to the dwarven civilization, where technology has not yet reached mastery. Only toward the very end of the technology tree do the dwarves unlock the art of metalworking. Along the way, they must progress through intermediate stages: bones, dinosaur hides, copper, bronze, and beyond.
For now, check out the concept sketches of the creatures from the new world! 🔥

What do our players love the most? Digging, of course! That's why we've decided to add a new resource: Obsidian, which you'll have to mine all the way down to the boiling lava for. But lava isn't soup; you can't just scoop it up. Therefore, players will have to use special extraction units for mining, while fending off Lava Dragons. Once you obtain the coveted obsidian through this complex production process, you can create a variety of items with useful properties: exceptionally durable walls, luxurious interior items, and, of course, armor and weaponry. While these items may slightly concede to Mithril in terms of damage output, they allow you to drain a portion of the enemy's life force, healing the wearer.
The newly smarter Dwarves are here to delight you yet again: two new sliders have been added to the Work Priority settings window to fine-tune their already impressive intelligence. First, there's the Courage Level adjustment. Now you decide whether your Dwarves will fight like lions to the end — one against hundreds of monsters — or run away together in a panic from every little bug. And secondly, by popular demand, we've added a setting to control the required skill level for tasks. You choose: will the forge or other workbench wait for a Dwarf with the necessary skill, or will your Dwarves take on the nearest available job regardless of their abilities?
Finding the required item for a recipe will now be easier: clicking on it in the crafting table will highlight it in your inventory after switching to the corresponding section.
We have fixed a multitude of other flaws and bugs, including those related to the curvature of the earth, block weight, lake depth, and the height of the sky.
Among other things, the list of Pandora's Box events has been updated, and during the New Year Event period, monsters will bring you even more surprises!
In the Christmas update of Craft The World, the Beholder will put on a festive skin — bright, winter-themed, and perfect for celebrating the holidays in the game! It will bring even more magic and atmosphere to your adventures.
And which game character, in your opinion, also deserves a festive look?
A New Year calls for something massive and bright! ✨
That’s why we are adding a huge-scale Obsidian Extraction Unit to the base game, designed to harvest the material directly from lava.
This durable and beautiful resource will allow you to craft a host of useful items:
A brand-new set of building blocks, armor, and weapons.
Stylish decorative items for your dungeon.
How Does It Work?
Complex Recipe: To create the Unit, your Dwarves will need to master several intermediate crafting stages.
Careful Setup: The structure must be precisely secured to a back wall at a specific height above a lake of lava.
Process Start: The operating Dwarf heads into the cab, and the Unit initiates the extraction process, similar to crafting at a regular workbench.
Extraction: After processing a large volume of lava, the Unit will dispense a finished chunk of obsidian, ready to be carried to the stockpile.
But remember: the most valuable resources are often guarded by the most dangerous creatures. The Unit will operate in Dragon habitats, and your invasion is unlikely to please these behemoths! 🔥

🎉 Hooray — the new DLC for Craft The World is finally here: “Magic Mirror”!
Now every player can turn their dwarves into true heroes with unique style and personality.
With the magic mirror you can customize:
appearance — hair, mustache, beard, skin color, and even gender;
outfits — hats, suits, and boots, with the option to display them instead of armor.
The DLC adds exclusive sets for male and female dwarves. Some options are available right from the start, while others can be unlocked during gameplay or purchased in Grant’s shop.
One mirror is provided at the beginning of the level, and later you can craft more via the tech tree. In multiplayer, each player unlocks new looks independently, so your dwarf team will always be unique.
And now, not only can you dress them up, but you can also rename each dwarf — give them true individuality!
The “Magic Mirror” DLC is available today. Time to refresh your dwarves’ style!
Added support for the new DLC, which allows customizing dwarves’ appearance and clothing using the Magic Mirror.
Added the ability to rename dwarves in the equipment window.
Added the option to display dwarves’ names in single-player mode by pressing the Alt key.
The chopping marker is no longer cleared when a tree grows.
The prices of the airship trader have been doubled — now he gives more coins for your goods.
Fixed: dwarves would not go fishing until a second marker was placed on the water.
Fixed: throwing zombies could destroy floor blocks under the main stockpile.
Fixed: in some cases, water levels in ponds were displayed incorrectly.
Fixed: the airship trader placed blocks to level the landing site. Fixed some cases of the airship freezing when exiting the game or entering a biome.
Fixed: alien base walls would change configuration when adjacent blocks were demolished.
Fixed: when spawning an alien base, all blocks and constructions at its location are now removed.
Fixed some cases of incorrect block lighting.
Coming Soon to Craft The World — Magic Mirror DLC! It's time for your dwarves to shine!
With the new Magic Mirror, you can change your dwarves’ appearance, gender, and outfits. Customize hairstyles, faces, and mix-and-match costumes — build a team that digs deep and looks sharp!
🎩 Alchemist, pirate, noble, tank commander — who will join your stylish squad?
Added an upgraded workbench and forge, which provide a multiple increase in crafting speed compared to the basic machines. These new machines become available as you progress through the technology tree.
Now, for the wandering merchant to land where needed without hitting your buildings, the player must build a special landing platform that is at least 5 blocks long. Place it in a convenient location so that the dwarves can more easily deliver coins from the merchant.
Fixed level generation errors, such as disproportionately large numbers of underground caverns and the close placement of lizard temples near the main stockpile.
Fixed flying imp pets getting stuck, where they would stop carrying items after a while.
Fixed issues with the mining drill machine.
Fixed incorrect background display in the underground biome.
Minor balance adjustments to enemies: underground spiders.
Made numerous other small fixes and improvements.
While the dwarves continue their work, our team isn't standing still either. We're actively preparing a new update that will make your bearded workers even more stylish and charming!
Very soon, you'll be able to fully outfit your underground laborers in style.
Want to know more? Stay tuned for our updates! In the meantime — here's a small teaser. But shh… don’t tell anyone 😉
