Hey there, Cozy Keepers!
We are still working on the Employees Update and other systems, but before releasing those updates, we wanted to put out a small QoL update featuring a couple of things that have been requested and mentioned a lot by you!
You can now use materials from Storage Chests when building, without having to carry them in your inventory.
Note: Rebuilding certain structures (e.g., the Honesty Box) still requires you to have the materials in your inventory.
Product Displays with the Fast Placement bonus will now remember the last products placed on them. Simply look at the Product Display and press the Fast Restock key to automatically grab and restock those products if they are available in your inventory or nearby Storage Chests.
This uses the same system as Product Displays, but for Planters. It replaces the Remove Seeds option, which Planters had but was rarely used.
Fixed customers not buying certain items even when stock was sufficient.
Made several changes to the Order System:
Items now have a maximum stock limit.
Prices are now influenced by your reputation.
Improved discounts.
Fixed Tier V products not receiving discounts.
Replaced the text in the Player and Management tabs with icons to improve readability and create more space.
Fixed some mine ore deposits having incorrect rotations.
Fixed a bug that caused Locked Chests to display both unlocking mini-games.
Fixed an issue where Planters could be watered while unbuilt, which could cause visual bugs.
Fixed an issue where newly added ores in the Miner's Shop were not being added to the cart, making them impossible to purchase.
We have big plans and updates for the next months, thank you for supporting this journey and having patience with the development. ❤️
Hey there, Cozy Keepers!
Initially, I wanted to work on and add employees, but after getting some feedback from the community, players mentioned that the current space is too small and employees aren’t really needed. So before adding employees and shop automation, I’m releasing this update, which allows you to upgrade your shop and get an additional floor for your product displays!
The system is pretty straightforward. You need to interact with your Management Table, open the Shop Upgrades tab, and level up your shop if you have the required materials.
This will make some slight modifications to the shop and its appearance, both outdoors and indoors.
Because of the current layout, I couldn’t really find a way to add physical stairs to the new floor, so I cheated a little by adding doors that act as portals between floors. (I also want to mention that the current shop layout isn’t final - I'll be changing it in the near future, and more levels and upgrades will be added.)
This update will give you more walls and floors, as well as more display and decoration locations.
One small issue you might face, if you already have a save file, is related to chandeliers. Your current chandeliers from the first floor will be higher than they should be. You can use a table and a 5-slot cupboard to reach them, or simply upgrade the shop and go to the second floor to interact with and move them. I’m really sorry about this, but I don’t want to apply a hard-coded fix that might break other things.
Increased the range of the Paint Brush to make it easier to interact with the new walls
Replaced the floors in the Bedroom, Storage Room, and behind the Management Table with editable floors
Fixed some cooking recipes not returning the empty bucket
Fixed the recipe for Cream Rolls requiring Raw Meat
Fixed enemies in the first mine area dropping Gold Ingots before you could smelt and unlock them yourself, which allowed early elevator repairs to the second area and could cause a soft lock
Increased the materials required to fix the elevator that unlocks the second area of the mine
The next major update will focus on employees and shop automation, as well as a few gameplay changes and fixes I want to implement. There’s still a long road ahead for CK, but we’ll get there - and I hope version 1.0 will be as polished as possible based on your feedback and support.
We’ll be updating the roadmap soon to share more details with you.
Once again, thank you all so much for your support! ❤️
Hey there, Cozy Keepers!
After the Mine Expansion Update, we still had a few things we wanted to do before starting work on the next major update - Shop Expansion & Employees!
You can now interact with Henry and change his style with 15 different breed appearances.
To show that you truly love him, you can now build a Scratching Post and grow Catnip.
The Food and Water bowls have also been updated - you can now interact with them to fill them up.
You can now craft Meat and Fish Cat Food, and Henry will truly appreciate it - his Love stat will fill faster.
You can also interact with Henry to see if he’s been eating, drinking, or if you’ve petted him.
This is something that was supposed to be added in the Mine Expansion Update, but I completely missed it on the to-do list... A faster and better looking way of displaying your necklaces, rigs and bracelets!
This is also something that didn’t cross my mind until players started asking how to use bombs...
You can now equip them in your quick slots and throw or place them.
Bombs can be used to destroy ore deposits and damage enemies or animals. They can also damage you, so don’t stand too close!
Fixed Fish Paste using the wrong asset
Charcoal now provides more fuel
Fixed Shop Customization UI arrows not working when switching from Roof Styles to Management Table Styles
Fixed a bug that allowed you to plant sapling seeds in planter boxes and receive carrots instead
Fixed locked chests spawning loot stacks of up to 99 (or more) of certain items
Fixed the Charcoal Kiln being labeled as a Smelter
Fixed a bug that caused new items to have very low prices when ordered using the Management Table
We are currently gathering feedback and continuing to balance the new Mine area and its challenges. At the same time, we’ve started working on the next major update - Shop Expansion & Employees!
We’ll be updating the Roadmap soon to share more details with you.
Once again, thank you all so much for your support! ❤️
Fixed keys for doors in the new mine not being saved after being picked up
Fixed new achievements not triggering correctly - players who already completed the requirements only need to load their save file to receive the achievements for fixing the elevator and smelting Umbral ingots. For the other achievement, you will need to defeat the Goblin King again.
Fixed trees not dropping sticks and other loot
Fixed a bug where the inventory’s max weight was calculated incorrectly when combining a perk and the new amulet
Fixed the Royal Mug recipe asking for 0 rubies
Fixed the Jeweler’s Workstation prompt button
Fixed loot chest mini-game not starting
Fixed armor stand display not showing Umbral armor pieces
Hello there, Cozy Keepers! The time has finally come! The Mine is being more than doubled in size, so let’s get straight into the update details!
To access the new mine area, you first need to fix the elevator. It’s not hard - you’ll only need a couple of iron and gold ingots to craft a lever. You can check the map to see the elevator’s location!
This new area introduces a brand-new ore - Umbral - which also unlocks a new Knowledge Tier. Along the way, you’ll also find deposits of gemstones and other minerals.
One of the things most players asked for was more jewelry recipes, as there were previously only four basic ring and bracelet recipes.
To access the new recipes, you’ll need to craft an Umbral Hammer and build the Jeweler’s Workstation.
A new crafting station has been added specifically for crafting charcoal.
The new gemstones can be used to craft powerful Amulets. This new gear slot is located right next to the Arrows slot.
Amulets provide different bonuses, so choose them based on your playstyle and needs.
Locked chests have been in the game for a long time, but the issue was that they became useless once unlocked and looted.
Now, they not only have more loot options, but their contents can also respawn every 2–3 days. Chests that can respawn loot are marked, as not all of them have this feature.
An additional mini-game has also been added. You’ll have to guess the correct combination to unlock the chest. The old system is still in the game - you’ll get one of the two based on your luck.
Around the new mine, you’ll find barrels and crates. You can destroy them using your weapons to obtain loot.
The new mine area is under the control of filthy goblins and their King. I’ll let you discover more about this on your own.
Added a few new decorations inspired by the new enemies. Plenty more options here, we will add more in the near future!
Soil and Clay deposits now have better yields in the Valley
The first mine area now also contains Soil and Clay deposits
The first mine area has a new room
Fixed areas where enemies could get stuck in the first mine
Fixed locked chests prompting the wrong key and action
Fixed new items missing entries in the Knowledge tab
Removed spider webs in the basement that couldn’t be reached or cleaned (and bothered many of you)
Fixed the cave icon remaining on screen while in the mines
Fixed skeleton enemies not detecting you when you were right behind them
Fixed enclosure pigs dropping chicken meat when killed
Added 61 new items
Removed the Christmas event, but kept the decorations and wallpapers in the game with new recipes
All special Santa tickets will be removed from your inventory and converted into gold if they haven’t been used
Increased the default Max-Weight for the inventory as well as the amount given by the perks
As always, I’m taking the time to thank you for your support and patience.
We’ll be right here to fix any issues and bugs that might appear with this update!
Let us know if you have any issues or feedback, as this really helps us improve and shape Cozy Keep into its best form. We have big plans for the near future - more details and updates will be shared soon!
Once again, thank you! ❤️
PS: We’re also running a big discount, along with a Daily Deal!
Greetings, Cozy Keepers!
We wanted to make a small announcement about the upcoming major update!
After a lot of work, planning, and changes, we finally have a release date: February 10th, 2026, which will also be paired with a Daily Deal Discount!
Here’s a quick look at what to expect in this major update (small patch notes):
An additional mine level - while it started as a few-room expansion, it turned out to be a complete new level bigger than the first mine area
New ores, gemstones, weapons, gear, jewelry, and plenty more new products
Improved AI and a new enemy type - goblins of multiple types + a Goblin King boss
Reworked loot chests and respawnable loot with a new mini-game for unlocking
A new gear item - talismans - which grant special bonuses
Overall mining and combat polishing
Polished version of the first mine area
New decorations
This update took longer than expected. We ran into quite a few problems and changes over the past months that slowed development a bit. Now that all the issues are resolved, we are more focused than ever on delivering the best version of Cozy Keep possible!
If you haven’t already, make sure to Wishlist / Follow the game so you don’t miss upcoming news and updates!
Thank you for your support!♥️
Fixed Cocoa Sapling not appearing in the Plant Tree UI
Fixed Gerry’s UI mentioning Goubie and trash bags
Fixed new recipes from the latest update not being bought by customers
Hello there, Cozy Keepers!
As you already know, we are working really hard on the next major update - The Mine Expansion. We still have a lot of work left to do on it, but before continuing, we felt the need to run a small Christmas event.
Unlike last year, Gerry the Snowman is now hiding from the sun in his own cave. You can use the map to find the cave as soon as you hop into the game on Day 1.
This year, Santa needs your help with a special task: collecting Christmas wishlists from customers who didn’t get the chance to send them directly to the North Pole, where Santa lives. Customers will automatically give you their wishlists after they pay for the products they’ve selected from your store.
You can visit Gerry and exchange Christmas wishlists for Santa’s Special Tickets. These tickets can be used to purchase special holiday wallpapers for your walls or to build special decorations.
Added a new sapling to the game - Cocoa Sapling
Added 23 new cooking recipes
Added 5 new wallpaper styles for your walls
Added a new location to the map - Gerry’s Cave
Fixed a bug that caused fishing markers on the map to point to the wrong areas
I started Cozy Keep with a smaller scope in mind. As time passed and the community grew, so did the roadmap and my to-do list. The past year has been full of challenges, but I’ve learned a lot, and now I know where the game is heading.
I’m focused on delivering as many updates as possible while maintaining a high level of quality in my work. There are many issues I’m aware of, and I’m actively working to fix and improve them so Cozy Keep can have a solid and polished 1.0 release next year. As mentioned earlier, we’re currently working hard to polish the existing mine area and expand it with a completely new level, style, enemies, ores, and challenges.
I truly appreciate your support for the game. It means a lot to know that so many of you take time out of your own lives to help me improve it.
I wish you all the best as this year comes to an end. Happy holidays, and I hope you get to spend some quality time with your families, friends, and special people!
Hello there, Cozy Keepers!
We wanted to make this post to share our future plans and major updates for Cozy Keep!
Cozy Keep started as a small project, but as our community grew, so did our roadmap - thanks to all the wonderful ideas and requests we've received. One of the most requested features has been expanding the Mine - adding new resources like diamonds and other precious stones, as well as more options for jewelry crafting.
The next update will focus exactly on that! It will also include new enemies, improved behavior for existing ones in the Mine, and various balance and polish improvements to the early Mine areas.
While we wanted to celebrate Halloween with a special event, our time and energy have been fully dedicated to this update. Sadly, that means we won’t have a Halloween event this year. However, we’re already preparing something special for Christmas - and we promise it’ll be even more exciting than last year’s!
We want seasonal events to be a lasting part of the game, but we also want them to feel more meaningful - not just simple “collect X, Y, Z and deliver to that NPC” tasks.
That’s what we’re working on for next month! We’re putting in a lot of effort to make sure everything is ready so you can enjoy the update during your December downtime.
Thank you so much for your continued support!♥️
Together, we’ll make Cozy Keep the best it can be!
And to celebrate Halloween just a little, we’ve teamed up with a friend of ours who just released an amazing new game:
Removed some assets and a large square from the sky; these were used for testing and shouldn't have been left in the live build
Hello there, Cozy Keepers!
Before doing bigger updates, I’ve decided to take some time to improve and expand the foundation of an existing system in the game. Let’s see what this is about!
You could already paint walls in the game, but some of you asked for more options — specifically wallpapers instead of just simple colors.
From now on, the Paint Menu UI has two new tabs.
The first tab contains the regular paint colors, which you unlock for free as you progress through your Shopkeeper Level.
The second tab contains wallpapers for walls, which you can unlock by purchasing them. They cost a little, but once unlocked, a wallpaper style can be applied to all walls for free, unlike paint colors, which currently cost 5 coins per wall (this will change in the future, as it’s not really fair to pay coins just to paint a wall).
The third tab introduces new floor styles for the main lobby of the shop (the wooden-floored area used by customers).
The Paint Menu UI now also includes a preview for colors and styles.
More styles will be added soon both for walls and floors!
Fixed a bug that caused new recipes to disappear from the Crafting Bench
Fixed the description for Onion Seeds
Improved the art for Achievements to create a cozier look and feel
This update is one of the smaller ones between major releases. We’re currently working on a Halloween seasonal update to spice things up for a while! After that, we’ll focus on expanding the Mine area and improving the overall mining experience.
Hello there, Cozy Keepers!
One of the most requested features has finally been added to the game... so let's get straight to the details!
There was so much water around the shop, yet the only thing you could do with it was take a bath to avoid smelling bad. Well, not anymore! Some of these rivers now have fish you can catch.
You'll first need a Wooden Fishing Rod and some bait of your choosing. Then, find a fishing spot (these are water docks where you must stand to use your fishing rod).
Once you're on the dock with your fishing rod and bait equipped, simply cast your line and wait a few seconds for a fish to bite.
A mini-game will start shortly after — all you need to do is hit the targets at the right time. You can't lose this mini-game, but hitting the targets will help you catch the fish faster.
Aveline is the daughter of the old fisherman of the Valley. She’ll sell you fishing-related products and help you get started with your new hobby.
Aveline has a few broken fishing traps that you can repair and use to catch certain aquatic creatures.
After repairing a trap, interact with it to submerge it in the water (no bait required). Fishing traps take about 2–3 days to catch something. Once ready, interact with the trap to collect its contents.
Note: Don’t forget to submerge the trap again after collecting your catch!
Perfect for displaying your freshly caught fish.
Fishing traps can catch clams, which can be opened at this workstation to obtain White Pearls and Black Pearls.
Added 24 new items
Fixed map filter buttons not working correctly
Fixed the watering can not showing the correct key prompt
Fixed certain recipes not showing up on the Food Display
Fixed Knowledge UI showing a 0 yield for recipes
Fixed some items missing from Knowledge UI
Changed the Nomad Trader's icon to hide after 30 seconds, as players reported it was annoying to see all day
The systems in this update may need some balancing and fixes, so I’ll be watching closely for your feedback and patching any issues as quickly as possible.
The next update will arrive in about a week and will complete this one by adding new decorations and a few extra features.
Hello there, Cozy Keepers!
As promised, I’m working on delivering content faster.
Let’s see what this update has to offer!
A new NPC will visit the Valley from time to time, resting by the lake near your shop.
This NPC will have an inventory and will be willing to trade his goods for yours(if the deal is fair).
You can offer up to 7 unique items from your inventory, and the same applies to his inventory.
The Nomad Trader will arrive in the Valley early in the morning and leave the next day before you wake up, giving you plenty of time to weigh your options and make trades!
The Nomad Trader will return after 3–7 days, depending on your luck.
Fixed the new product displays, which were causing some pathfinding issues.
Added a Fill All button for the Well, for players who needed hundreds of water bottles and previously had to fill them one by one.
The next update will probably be bigger, but I’ll do my best to deliver it faster while also maintaining high quality.
Once again, thank you so much for all the support you show every time I release an update! ❤️
Hello there, Cozy Keepers!
The latest update has just arrived, introducing features players have been asking for for a while now... so let’s get straight to the details!
Increased customer patience, as things can get overwhelming the bigger your store gets.
Improved how customers decide what to buy (still needs more balancing, but we're getting there).
Customers are now more forgiving when you don’t have everything they want in stock.
Customers should now ask less about certain products if you stop selling them for a few days.
What’s a game about selling products without customers trying to get a better deal?
Every now and then, customers will try to haggle before paying. They’ll wait by the Management Table, and you can interact with them to start a mini-game. If you hit the targets, you'll increase the selling price of the product. If you miss a target, the customer gets a discount instead.
Customers won't get mad if you choose not to haggle, it's entirely up to you.
Early on, when customers are only spending a few coins, haggling might not make a big difference to your profits.
By default, you’ll need to hit 3 targets in a row to earn a 15% bonus. At that point, you can stop and take your win or keep going for 2 more targets to increase the bonus to 25%.
Based on player feedback, a new set of product displays has been added:
Log and Plank Racks (10 slots)
Round Table and Round Table with Cloth
Big Table and Big Table with Cloth
Sword Rack (8 and 14 slots)
Spear Rack (8 and 14 slots)
Tool Shelf (3 and 9 slots)
Standing Tool Shelf (8 slots)
Wall Shelf (6 and 10 slots)
Standing Shield Hanger (2 slots)
Cupboard (10 slots)
Fruit and Vegetable Table (12 slots)
Wine Shelf (5 and 9 slots)
Standing Wine Shelf (9 slots)
Food Display (17 slots)
Potion Display (15 slots)
Armor Holder (to display a full set of gear)
More displays will be added based on player requests!
Fixed the prohibition law showing a white square instead of the item icon.
Added a bigger UI in the Management Table where you can see prohibited items and shop stats.
Placing products now has a small animation.
Added custom cloth colors for Table displays.
Fixed being able to toggle snapping while using the Broom.
Fixed some floating foliage.
Fixed a bug causing in-hand tools/weapons to move in slow motion if you changed quick-slots while aiming your bow.
Fixed the Traveling Merchant having all prices set to 0 after loading a save file.
Made potion meshes smaller.
Updated the color palette in the locked chests mini-game to improve visibility (no more green on red issues!).
Added a way to custom-paint triangle walls instead of tying their color to the roof.
Log and Plank Racks now have 5 slots instead of 4.
In the Roadmap, I mentioned this update would include new decorations, a new NPC, etc. These features will arrive in the coming weeks. I believe it's better to release smaller updates focused on specific systems or areas every few weeks, rather than one large update every month with a mix of unrelated content. I’ll do my best to stay organized and release updates faster.
Also, check out the Steam page for a new game made by a fellow game dev and good friend of mine:
Fixed a bug that caused some products to be duplicated or completely lost when placed on a shelf.
Fixed an issue where items couldn't be taken out of the honesty box if the inventory was full, even when there was space in an existing stack.
Fixed inventory weight not refreshing correctly after collecting items (e.g., digging sand).
Fixed the Iron/Gold Age achievement not triggering — added a check to award the achievement if you've reached the Iron Age but didn't receive it.
Fixed Sugarcane Seeds' description
Fixed the Lemonade recipe not returning the empty bucket correctly
Fixed the price of Wild Berry Jam
Expanded the slot UI when placing items on shelves, as the previous version was difficult to navigate with too many items in storage chests
Hello there, Cozy Keepers!
This update took longer than I expected, and I apologize for that! Keep in mind, this is more of a technical update. Let’s see what’s new:
Let’s say you’re a kid and your mom tells you to stop playing and start studying immediately… or maybe you’re an adult and your kid just set the house on fire and you have to intervene. You’ve made some progress in your Cozy Keep day, but you don’t want to skip the day or even an hour. Tough decision, right? From now on, you just have to pause the game and press the Quick Save option. That’s it! Your position, progress, animals, and enemies around you... everything gets saved and loaded.
I still want the Bed to have a purpose in the game, and it does. But not giving you the option to quick save in 2025 just wouldn’t make sense. Thank you all for your feedback on this!
I’m also considering adding an auto-save option in the future. We’ll see what players think!
Added the option to upgrade your storage chests so you no longer have to move items manually.
Storage chests now have a new range bonus.
Added the option to Quick Deposit matching items from your inventory.
Added a warning when you're about to destroy a chest that contains items.
Polished the UI to make quick slots clearer.
Added a system to place products on shelves directly from storage.
You can now craft directly from storage chests. The better the chest, the better the range.
Added (x1, x2, x3, x5, etc.) crafting options to craft faster.
Fuel stations can now be refueled from nearby storage.
Added an option to unstuck yourself from the Pause Menu.
Added an option to hide/show the player HUD.
Iron and Gold Hammers now return 50% and 100% of the materials used when destroying a structure.
You can now move displays with products on them without needing to empty them first.
Added snapping for placing structures, placing products, and digging mounds.
You can enable/disable snapping by pressing it's key action.
Added a system to auto-collect dropped loot (e.g., tree logs, animal drops).
Can be toggled in Settings → Gameplay → Auto-Grab. Note: I’ll tweak the values based on feedback!
Ores in the Mine now respawn every 2 days instead of 3.
You can now move automations and animals between enclosures.
Fixed loot chests popping up near the Evil’s Nest area.
Fixed destroying/deleting item stacks not giving the correct amount of garbage.
Fixed an issue where enclosure animals couldn’t be damaged by your sword.
You can no longer use or place items from your quick slots during crafting.
Optimized crafting UI across all stations to reduce FPS drops.
Fixed the crafting UI missing a scroll bar.
Increased your crosshair’s interaction radius to make picking up items (rocks, sticks, etc.) easier.
Lowered chest name visibility range to reduce screen clutter.
Cutting down trees now also yields sticks.
Fixed not being able to uncrouch near structures.
Faster rotation while placing products.
Fixed required building material UI not updating correctly.
Ghosts of placed structures now save/load.
Increased dropped item lifespan from 10 → 30 mins.
Added icons to replace some UI text (Compendium, Journal, Map, etc.).
Fixed inverted Quick Slot navigation controls.
Added a catcher under the map to save players who somehow manage to fall through the map.
Non-stackable items now show as a single slot instead of multiple x1 slots.
Fixed the enclosure rename button triggering the rename of animals instead of the enclosure.
Adjusted animal LODs (might need more tweaks).
Fixed a bug where rebuilding an animal enclosure in the same spot wouldn’t spawn gates, food, or water containers.
Improved enemy pathfinding (still investigating some issues in the Mine).
Fixed FPS drops when consuming/placing items.
Rebalanced/Fixed recipes for Jams, Fried Bacon, and Fried Sausage for better yield and profit.
Once again, I apologize for the delay! I’ve received tons of feedback from the community, and going forward, my focus will be on adding more content while also continuing to optimize and polish existing systems.
