Countess in Crimson news & patch notes

Hi everyone! Update 2.1.0 for Countess in Crimson: The Black Dawn DLC brings new sex scenes for all girls and Halloween-themed content for DLC characters (Vadoma, Petra and Liliana). This is our last planned content update for Countess in Crimson as we refocus our attention to upcoming projects. Please be aware that the newly added content won't be visible unless you start a new game. We made sure accessing new content is as easy as possible for players who previously finished the DLC (namely, Vadoma's side story). We are happy to announce that the DLC for Countess in Crimson is finally finished and available for you all to enjoy! This DLC adds three additional love interests with exciting storylines that run parallel to the game's main story. In the near future, the DLC will also feature new unlockable content for characters from the base game. Since this content isn't an integral part of new storylines featured in the DLC, we decided it didn't justify significantly delaying the DLC and will be added in two batches, within 2-3 months after the DLC release. Hello everyone. It's been a while since we posted any news about the upcoming DLC, so let's have a quick recap of where we're at right now. The DLC is already fully playable, but there is still a lot of visual assets missing (animations, stills, etc.). Because of this, we unfortunately won't be able to meet the initial Q1 2025 release deadline. The closest release estimate right now is early / mid May 2025. Halloween-themed content has been added to Countess in Crimson. Jack-o'-lanterns will now appear in Bedroom and Countess' Chamber and picking them up will unlock Halloween-themed pictures and dialogue skins for Ashley and Countess respectively. Please be aware that the new Jack-o'-lanterns won't be visible unless you start a new game. Happy Halloween!

We're happy to unveil Cockwork Industries Complete v5.0, also known as the 5th Anniversary Edition, which is now available as a free update to the game! The 5th Anniversary Edition is a soft remaster comes with improved animations and sex scenes, a reworked gallery and unlockables system and many other improvements under the hood. Hi everyone. In this post I'd like to update you on what's been going on with us since the release on Countess in Crimson 1.0 and what is planned for the future. The reason why we've been silent for the first half of this year is mainly because I had to take several months off to deal with some personal stuff (don't worry, nothing bad, just very time consuming). We are still essentially a two-man team and not having one of us available means development was all but halted for that time. A while back we also made a decision to transition to Unity as our current game engine's constrains became more and more apparent for the games we'd like to make. Learning and adjusting our workflow to Unity has also been taking a lot of time with not much to show for it. Now we are finally back to business as usual. So what are our plans for the future? There are currently three projects in our pipeline - Countess in Crimson DLC, an unannounced visual novel game and a small surprise project. The Countess in Crimson DLC will expand on the story of the game introducing new storylines, three new romance options, new sex scenes for existing girls, new locations, etc. It will not continue the game's main plot, but rather add additional side stories parallel to the main one. Expect an official announcement with first preview later this month. The unannounced visual novel game is our first game developed in Unity. Because of this, it's a smaller and less complex game by design and will serve as an entry point for us to streamline our Unity workflow for bigger projects. This doesn't mean, of course, it will be any less fun 🙂. The game will be officially announced quite soon, possibly this month as well. The surprise project is, well... a surprise, so you'll have to wait and see what it is 😉. Finally, let's talk about the elephant in the room, the game most of you forgot but some are still curious about - Forbidden Curiosities. Development for Forbidden Curiosities is currently on hold. It's not cancelled, but we still haven't decided what exactly we want to do with it and we may eventually have to make a tough decision to abandon it. The fact is, we announced it too early, before the game's core was prepared. Soon after, we decided we wouldn't be able to develop two games simultaneously and focused on developing Countess in Crimson. Once CiC was out, we made a decision to switch to Unity for future games and that also hindered FB's development, which we already started developing in Visionaire Studio. • Added language selection on title screen.

Comment: Some players were having trouble finding the language selection option after accidentally choosing the wrong language upon starting the game for the first time. Now the language can be easily changed by clicking on an appropriate flag icon on the title screen.

• Removed the ability to switch active language upon entering Options from ESC menu.

Comment: We disabled the ability to switch languages after entering Options from the ESC menu because doing this was causing issues with Simplified Chinese text. The language can still be changed upon entering Options from the title screen.

We're proud to announce that Countess in Crimson is leaving early access and is officially releasing today! Version 1.0 comes with added language versions in Spanish, French, Polish and Simplified Chinese! Thank You for helping us making the game better throughout the early access period. Your feedback was crucial in making this game the best it can be. As for what's next - our work doesn't end here. After a short break, we're starting work on a DLC that will introduce additional love interests and side stories into the game. We'll keep you updated on the progress as soon as development starts.
