The summer season has come to an end, but the Party has not been idle. During this time, we’ve been hard at work preparing a range of improvements that will enhance your experience at the border post!
Over the past few months, we’ve been focusing on the console version of the game. As a result, we’re introducing the largest optimization update to date, featuring a fully custom animation system. This overhaul significantly improves performance, especially during gameplay involving large numbers of NPCs.
The game has successfully passed our internal testing and will be sent for certification next week. We’ll announce the exact release date in a separate post – stay tuned!
Your strong interest in Steam Deck has not gone unnoticed. We’ve implemented support for the Docking Station, allowing for seamless gameplay with either a keyboard or a gamepad. No matter your setup – your checkpoint is ready for duty!
This update introduces a completely new animation system that greatly enhances performance and gameplay speed. We’ve also fixed a number of the most troublesome bugs and implemented improvements based on your feedback to make your service at the border even more satisfying. Long live Acaristan! Crazy Rocks Team
We’re excited to announce that as a result of the Party’s recent efforts, Contraband Police now has full support for the Steam Deck! From now on, officers serving away from their posts can continue defending the borders of Acaristan!
The list of changes we've implemented is quite extensive — here are the most important ones:
We’ve introduced a magnifying glass system that lets you zoom in on documents for better inspection.
Using the handbook is now much clearer — it can now be opened across the full width of the Duty Folder.
In this update, we’ve introduced minor controller handling adjustments in preparation for the upcoming console release. We also fixed several player-reported issues related to inspections and shootouts.
Thank you for your continued support and suggestions — as always, we could count on you to help us improve the game!
Glory to Acaristan!

Summer has fully settled in, bringing with it increased traffic at the borders of Acaristan. To help you meet this challenge, the Party has prepared a solid package of improvements to make your duty more efficient and enjoyable!
All border guards are now equipped with backpacks that allow them to carry even more contraband and personal gear. To expand your inventory, upgrade your quarters via the office computer.
A new trend has taken Acaristan by storm! Handy carry bags for belongings have flooded the market. After some improvements by the manufacturer, they’re now seen not only with civilians and police officers but also among members of criminal organizations.
Thanks to the cooperation between the Minister of Defense and active Border Guard members, a number of quality-of-life improvements have been implemented. Key updates include the ability to adjust police siren volume, adjust UV flashlight color, modify the frequency of road ambushes and easier interaction for many objects.
To ensure the best possible Contraband Police experience on Steam Deck, we've prepared numerous improvements to font readability, optimization, and game stability. The game is currently undergoing Steam certification – as soon as we receive a response, we’ll inform you in a separate announcement. All future updates will also be fully compatible with Steam Deck.
The most important changes in this version include improvements to the body-looting system, better visibility of office computer panels, and the introduction of scalable inventory. We’ve also added many of your requested enhancements and fixed bugs from version 10.6.4.
Wishing you a peaceful duty and a relaxing holiday!
