Greetings, Exiles!
It's been just over seven weeks since the launch of Conan Exiles Enhanced, and what an incredible journey it has been so far. Since the game's release, hundred of thousands of players have ventured into the Exiled Lands. We've seen a concurrency peak of over 47,000 players on Steam, countless new stories unfold, and lots of great feedback shared across our community channels. During this time, we've delivered multiple updates focused on quality-of-life improvements, gameplay adjustments, performance enhancements, and bug fixes. Your feedback, reports, discussions, videos, and suggestions continue to shape the future of Conan Exiles Enhanced. Today, we'd like to share an update on some of the topics you've been discussing the most.Thank you for all your incredible support!
The hotfix will ensure all included pieces are properly represented so players can make more informed purchasing decisions. We've also heard your concerns regarding the availability window for some bundles. Because many of you felt that the 2-day timer was too short, we've extended the duration of both the Vendhyan Shrine and Vendhyan Noble's Bedchamber bundles. Their availability has now been doubled to give players more time to consider them.
Regarding pricing, we understand that the total cost of this release has sparked discussion within the community. This is the largest themed Bazaar collection we've released for Conan Exiles, containing more items and pieces than previous themed drops. While the overall bundle value is higher because of the amount of content included, the price per item or building piece remains comparable to, and in some cases slightly lower than, previous Bazaar offerings. That said, we understand that value is about more than just item counts, and we don't want to dismiss any of the concerns that have been raised. We are listening, we are discussing the feedback internally, and your input is helping shape future improvements. We’re actively discussing these topics internally, so that we can find ways to better align these offerings with player expectations. Please continue to share your thoughts, as they play an important role in helping us improve the Conan Exiles experience.

The terror attack on Utøya on July 22, 2011 changed countless lives in Norway. 77 people were killed. For artist Helene Bøksle, it also marked an abrupt and painful shift in her career. Music she had recorded for Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (2008) was used in the terrorist’s manifesto, and overnight she felt unable to perform it again.
For fifteen years, she waited for the moment when she could reclaim that music—and her voice. Now, she says, that moment has finally arrived.
Helene is known for her powerful, expressive vocals, yet she describes the aftermath of 2011 as if her voice had been “taken” from her—emotionally and physically.
The scars from that summer remain. With glassy eyes, she recalls how her world was turned upside down when she was involuntarily associated with the attacker.
“What was so hard for me was that it felt so personal.”
Though emotional, her voice is not trembling. The music she recorded for Age of Conan had been written for a vocal register and strength she felt was taken from her during 2011. Performing it became impossible.
The soundtrack, beloved by fans worldwide and honored with a Hollywood Music Award, was something she had always hoped to perform live in the years to come. But that opportunity vanished.
“I would be lying if I said I wasn’t afraid. I thought about it every day. I feared how the public, survivors, and next of kin might react.”
Still, she didn’t want to look back in ten years and regret not trying.
“It became more and more clear that I needed to do something about it. This was a door I wanted to open, but the time never felt right—until now. It was now or never.”
She compares the feeling to the Norwegian fairytale character who carries “seven winters and seven summers” inside him, ready to burst free. The years, she says, have also brought maturity to her voice.
Reclaiming the music meant throwing herself into the unknown. But what she found there surprised her.
“I’ve felt an unbelievably strong joy being part of Knut’s music again. It felt like it once did. It was written for me, so it felt like coming home.”
Composer Knut Avenstroup Haugen has been closely involved throughout the three‑year process. They speak almost daily, she says.
The four newly re-recorded songs were performed with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, something Helene insisted on. She wanted to do it right – properly.
“I sold my childhood home to spare no expense. But it felt meaningful and important. This music is part of my voice and my story.”
She wanted the recordings to be fully organic—no shortcuts, no compromises.
“It might sound strange for music in a video game, but I wanted every instrument to be analogue.”
Her father, also a musician, used to worry about the battles she chose to fight, calling her “his coat of arms.”
“I kind of like that. I can be that.”
After a long journey, she is finally stepping back into a voice that was always hers – stronger, deeper and with a different perspective than before.
On May 8, Helene Bøksle will perform the Age of Conan music at NRK’s Store Studio—her first time in fifteen years. The new recordings are also featured in the newly launched Conan Exiles Enhanced.

We have a quick hotfix for you today that addresses the following issues:
Fixed an intermittent server crash.
Fixed an issue loading mod pak files that have been renamed on dedicated servers.
Fixed an issue where the game could take a long time to boot or run out of memory mounting pak files from Legacy mods.
Startup videos should now be skippable on most systems after preloading completes.
Legacy mods will be ignored but initially remain in the modlist.txt.
If active mods are modified, then Legacy mods will be removed from modlist.txt.
Default allowed ping increased to 300 (from 200)
Living settlements disabled for the following official servers:
1516
1942
1509
Greetings Exiles,
Conan Exiles Enhanced is officially live on Steam, bringing the most dramatic visual and technical overhaul the survival hit has seen since its launch eight years ago.
Funcom, working in partnership with Inflexion Games, has released the upgrade as a free download for all current and future Steam owners.
Arriving just ahead of the game’s May 8 anniversary, the Enhanced edition is a gift to the millions of Conan Exiles players around the world.
The upgrade moves the entire game into Unreal Engine 5, unifying eight years of post‑launch content and giving the world of Conan a sweeping visual refresh. Players jumping in today will see:
Sharply improved environments, character models, lighting, and effects
A redesigned UI and numerous quality‑of‑life upgrades
Performance targeting 60+ FPS across all graphical presets on most PCs
Strong Steam Deck performance for portable survival
For the first time, players can freely travel between The Exiled Lands and The Isle of Siptah (the latter still sold separately). The two massive regions are now integrated and connected, eliminating the need to choose a map at character creation or start over to explore both.
Multiplayer servers can host both regions simultaneously, dramatically expanding the playable space for communities that own the Siptah expansion.
Since its 2018 debut, Conan Exiles has become one of the most recognizable survival games on the market, set in the brutal universe inspired by Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian. Funcom frames the Enhanced edition as a celebration of the game’s longevity.
Conan Exiles Enhanced is out now as a free upgrade for all Steam players.
Greetings Exiles, We have a quick hotfix that re-enables character transfers on Steam.
Character Transfers have been re-enabled on Steam.
Players of Isle of Siptah and Exiled Lands alike can prepare for the upgrade to the Enhanced version by transferring their characters to different servers, including private servers, if they so choose. Read more about the Enhanced version and all the changes it will bring on our blog.
All thralls, pets and mounts followers that disappeared after doing a character transfer should be restored upon logging into the server.
Greetings, Exiles!
We’re excited to announce Conan Exiles Enhanced — a free, massive visual overhaul of Conan Exiles launching on the game’s 8th anniversary, May 5th.
Developed in collaboration with Inflexion Games, this upgrade brings eight years of incredible content into a fully modernized experience, featuring dramatically improved visuals, enhanced performance, and cutting‑edge rendering technology powered by Unreal Engine 5.
With the advanced capabilities of Unreal Engine 5, Conan Exiles Enhanced targets smooth 60+ FPS gameplay across Low, Medium, High, and Ultra settings on most PCs, while also delivering strong performance on Steam Deck.
This update breathes new life into the brutal world of Conan, offering a deeper level of immersion for both newcomers and long‑time veterans. For the first time ever, players can freely travel between the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah.
The two regions are now unified into a single experience, allowing players to explore both without choosing one at the start of the game. In multiplayer, any server can now support both maps simultaneously, massively expanding the playable world for those who own the Isle of Siptah expansion.
Alongside the visual overhaul and integrated world, the update also introduces multiple characters per account and a revamped user interface.
Current players will be able to transfer their saves from the Unreal Engine 4 version into the new Enhanced edition.
“Conan has been the heart of Funcom for nearly two decades, and with the new Enhanced upgrade, Conan Exiles continues to carve its legacy in video games,” said Chief Creative Officer Joel Bylos.
“We know these upgrades are often sold at a premium or released as a separate, enhanced product, but we wanted to offer this for free to fans past, present, and future, as an anniversary gift and a token of our appreciation for their support. We are so proud of this game and the work our team has put into it over the years, and we want this upgrade to breathe new life and energy into the game for a long time to come.”
Conan Exiles Enhanced launches May 5th, 2026 as a free upgrade for all owners of the Steam version of the game. While there are currently no plans to bring this upgrade to consoles, Funcom and Inflexion are not ruling out a future release on those platforms.
What is Conan Exiles Enhanced?
Conan Exiles Enhanced is a free major update coming to PC (Steam) on May 5 that significantly improves the graphics and performance of Conan Exiles by upgrading it to Unreal Engine 5. It also features several quality-of-life updates and the new features listed below.
Merged Worlds: Exiled Lands & Isle of Siptah - Explore both regions with the same character, teleporting between maps with no restart required. If you’re hosting a server, both maps can exist on the same server at the same time. Access to the Isle of Siptah still requires ownership of the Isle of Siptah DLC.
Multiple Characters Support: Maintain and switch between multiple single-player characters per account.
Revamped User Interface: Cleaner menus and improved navigation.
Enhanced Crafting and Building: Crafting takes ingredients from nearby storage and follower inventories.
Day one Modding Support: Several popular mods ready at launch, with a refreshed Mod Dev Kit.
Save transfer support: Carry over your progress from the Exiled Lands, including characters, bases, and loot, or start fresh in a revitalized world.
Reduced Client Size: The client has been trimmed down to 68GB—nearly half of its previous 120GB—making it a far more practical choice for users with limited storage capacity.
Quality-of-Life improvements and Bug Fixes introduced
Steam Deck Support
What platforms will the update be released on?
This upgrade will be available to all current and future owners of Conan Exiles on Steam starting May 5th.
Will the update be released on other platforms and console?
While there are no current plans, we are considering bringing the update to Epic Games Store, MS store, Xbox and PlayStation platforms later.
How will I be able to access the update?
If you already own Conan Exiles on Steam, it will be updated to Conan Exiles Enhanced on May 5th. The UE4 version will remain available to those who want to play it. Players will be able to find it by locating Conan Exiles Enhanced in their Steam libraries, opening the Properties, and selecting "Conan Exiles Legacy" in the "Game Versions & Betas" tab.
Will there be continued support on the Conan Exiles UE4 version?
The UE4 version will remain available on consoles (Xbox, PlayStation), as the Enhanced update is currently for PC (Steam) only. Consoles will receive necessary updates to address critical bugs and will still have access to official UE4 servers and the Bazaar, but will not receive any new major content updates. PC players (including Epic Games Store and MS store) who want to continue playing the UE4 version can do so by switching to Conan Exiles Legacy, but this version will not receive additional updates, support, access to the Bazaar, or official servers.
Note: Crom Coins will no longer be valid on the UE4 (Conan Exiles Legacy) PC versions (Steam, Epic Games Store, MS store) once Conan Exiles Enhanced goes live as the Bazaar will be disabled on PC in Conan Exiles Legacy. However, Crom Coins will carry over for Steam players who wish to continue their journey in Conan Exiles Enhanced. If you plan to continue to play on the UE4 Conan Legacy version we recommend spending your currency before May 5 when Conan Exiles Enhanced launches.
Developing both versions in parallel isn't an option due to divergence in code and assets as well as the development resources necessary to do so.
Note: If players choose to continue playing in UE4 with Conan Exiles Legacy, they can do so in single player or on a private server. They can maintain their progress in Conan Exiles Legacy by doing the following:
Official servers: On May 4th, 15:00 UTC, all Official PC servers will be brought down in anticipation of the update to Conan Exiles Enhanced (UE5). The entire server database will be updated to UE5, including your character. Once this happens, there is no way to take your character back to Conan Exiles Legacy (UE4). To keep your character in Conan Exiles Legacy, you will need to remove it from the server prior to May 4th. You can do this using the Server Transfer Tool. You will then be able to migrate your character to a Conan Exiles Legacy private server or single-player game.
Note: You will retain your character level, progress, inventory, and followers, but will not be able to retain your bases or any other items placed in the world. To facilitate rebuilding, you can dismantle your base and store the materials and other items you wish to take with you in your followers' inventories.
Private servers: Private server owners will have the option to continue playing in UE4 using Conan Exiles Legacy. Prior to the May 5th update, it is recommended to make backups of the following game database files, which will be needed to run Conan Exiles Legacy after the update:
Exiled Lands
...\\steamapps\\common\\Conan Exiles Dedicated Server\\ConanSandbox\\Saved\\game.db
Isle of Siptah
...\\steamapps\\common\\Conan Exiles Dedicated Server\\ConanSandbox\\Saved\\dlc_siptah.db
Note: The "Conan Exiles Dedicated Server" folder name will change as part of the Steam update to reflect the new name of the game server, "Conan Exiles Enhanced Dedicated Server." Your save files from UE4 should remain in place throughout the update process and remain usable in the Conan Exiles Legacy version of the game. The recommendation to back up files is a precaution.
Single player: Prior to the May 5th update, it is recommended to make backups of the following game database files, which will be needed to run Conan Exiles Legacy after the update:
Exiled Lands
...\\steamapps\\common\\Conan Exiles\\ConanSandbox\\Saved\\game.db
Isle of Siptah
...\\steamapps\\common\\Conan Exiles\\ConanSandbox\\Saved\\dlc_siptah.db
Note: The "Conan Exiles" folder name will change as part of the Steam update to reflect the new name of the game, "Conan Exiles Enhanced." Your save files from UE4 should remain in place throughout the update process and remain usable in the Conan Exiles Legacy version of the game. The recommendation to back up files is a precaution.
Will existing saves carry over?
Depending on how you play, there will be multiple options available when you upgrade to the UE5 version.
Official Servers: If you play on an official UE4 Exiled Lands server on Steam, your server will be updated to UE5 with everything carrying forward in the update. Your character, followers, and bases should not be affected. This does not apply to Isle of Siptah servers, however. The island itself has been merged with the Exiled Lands, which allows for a better experience in switching between the two maps, but this required a change to the physical coordinates of the island. As such, bases on the Isle of Siptah cannot be preserved in the UE5 update. You can prepare for this in a couple of ways:
The best option for Isle of Siptah players is to prepare for the UE5 update by dismantling their bases and depositing the materials in the inventories of their followers prior to the Official server downtime on May 4th, 15:00 UTC. If they are in a clan, it is recommended they leave the clan and use the thrall and pet trading posts to transfer ownership of followers to their individual characters. Once the update to UE5 happens, they will be moved to an Exiled Lands server, along with their followers, at which point they can make their way back to the Isle of Siptah to rebuild.
Alternatively, players can simply wait until the update, at which point their characters will be migrated via Server Merge to an Exiled Lands server, maintaining character level, progress, followers, and inventory, but dropping them at a new character spawn point in the Exiled Lands. Please note that, with this option, bases will be lost and players will not retain the materials to rebuild. We will post a mapping of which Exiled Lands servers each Isle of Siptah server is being merged to, so that players can find their new servers.
Private Servers: The process will differ for Exiled Lands servers and Isle of Siptah servers.
Exiled Lands
Exiled Lands database files will be readable in UE5 by Conan Exiles Enhanced. It is still recommended that private server owners make backups of the UE4 game database files prior to the May 5th update.
...\\steamapps\\common\\Conan Exiles Dedicated Server\\ConanSandbox\\Saved\\game.db
The private server owner will need to ensure the correct game database file (game.db) is in the corresponding folder location for Conan Exiles Enhanced. This will carry forward all characters and structures to the UE5 version.
Note: The "Conan Exiles Dedicated Server" folder name will change as part of the Steam update to reflect the new name of the game server, "Conan Exiles Enhanced Dedicated Server." Your save files from UE4 should remain in place throughout the update process and will be converted to separate Conan Exiles Enhanced save files when the updated server is run. The recommendation to back up files is a precaution.
Isle of Siptah
The same restrictions discussed above apply with regard to the Isle of Siptah, in that bases and other player-built structures will not be transferrable in the same way as with the Exiled Lands. Because there is no separate map for the Isle of Siptah in Conan Exiles Enhanced, there will not be any private Isle of Siptah servers, either. Even if playing on the Isle of Siptah, players in Conan Exiles Enhanced will need to play on an Exiled Lands server. This will require starting with a fresh Exiled Lands database, as the database files from UE4 are not cross-compatible between maps. The following process is recommended:
Prior to the May 5th update, the server owner can create a new Exiled Lands server in UE4.
Players can then use the Server Transfer Tool to migrate their Isle of Siptah characters to the Exiled Lands server in UE4 (The server owner will need to ensure that the server settings allow character imports). This will drop players at a new character spawn point in the Exiled Lands.
Note: Players will retain their character level, progress, inventory, and followers, but will not be able to retain their bases or any other items placed in the world. To facilitate rebuilding, they can dismantle their bases and store the materials and other items they wish to take with them in their followers' inventories.
The server owner can then follow the instructions above for Exiled Lands servers regarding the upgrade to Conan Exiles Enhanced on May 5th, including backup of the Exiled Lands database and ensuring that the correct version is in the corresponding folder location for Conan Exiles Enhanced.
Single- player: The process will differ for Exiled Lands servers and Isle of Siptah servers.
Exiled Lands
Exiled Lands database files will be readable in UE5 by Conan Exiles Enhanced and the update to UE5 should be seamless for single-player games. However, it is still recommended that you make backups of the UE4 game database files prior to the May 5th update.
...\\steamapps\\common\\Conan Exiles\\ConanSandbox\\Saved\\game.db
Note: The "Conan Exiles" folder name will change as part of the Steam update to reflect the new name of the game, "Conan Exiles Enhanced." Your save files from UE4 should remain in place throughout the update process and will be converted to separate Conan Exiles Enhanced save files when the updated game is run. The recommendation to back up files is a precaution.
If you encounter any issues or loss of character or progress with the upgrade, you can use your backup to ensure the correct game database file (game.db) is in the corresponding folder location for Conan Exiles Enhanced. This will carry forward all characters and structures to the UE5 version.
Isle of Siptah
The same restrictions discussed above apply with regard to the Isle of Siptah, in that bases and other player-built structures will not be transferrable in the same way as with the Exiled Lands. Because there is no separate map for the Isle of Siptah, there will not be a separate game database file, either. Even if playing on the Isle of Siptah, players in Conan Exiles Enhanced will be using an Exiled Lands database file. This will require starting with a fresh Exiled Lands database, as the database files from UE4 are not cross-compatible between maps. The following process is recommended:
Prior to the May 5th update, players can use the Server Transfer Tool to migrate their Isle of Siptah characters to an Exiled Lands single-player game in UE4.
Players can then follow the instructions above for Exiled Lands savegames regarding the upgrade to Conan Exiles Enhanced on May 5th, including backup of the Exiled Lands database and ensuring that the correct version is in the corresponding folder location for Conan Exiles Enhanced. After the upgrade to Conan Exiles Enhanced, players can make their way back to the Isle of Siptah to rebuild.
Note regarding savegames and database files: While UE4 databases will be readable by UE5, the reverse is not true. Once your character or your game database is updated to UE5, you will not be able to transfer it back to UE4. If you wish to retain your characters or savegames in Conan Exiles Legacy, please migrate your characters off Official servers and back up your database files prior to the May 5th update to Conan Exiles Enhanced.
Note regarding UE4 Server Transfer Tool restrictions: In order to prevent exploits and other game-breaking issues, character imports are subject to restrictions dependent on the original source of the stored character. Characters from single-player games are not allowed to be imported to dedicated servers of any kind, private or official. Likewise, characters from private servers cannot be imported to an official server. In addition, PvE characters cannot be imported to a PvP server. Characters can be imported to a server of equal or lesser restrictiveness, as follows: Official PvP => Official PvE-C => Official PvE => Private Dedicated => Single Player/Coop. There is also a one-day cooldown that applies to character transfers using the Server Transfer Tool.
What will the server structure look like for Conan Exiles Enhanced?
Official Servers:
All existing Official Exiled Lands PC servers will be updated to UE5.
All Official Isle of Siptah PC servers will be closed as of May 4th, 15:00 UTC in anticipation of the update to Conan Exiles Enhanced, with characters migrated to Exiled Lands servers as part of the update. Players should plan ahead if they wish to dismantle their bases and save the materials (more details below).
A number of “fresh start” official PC servers will be launched in each region to allow players to experience the game from the very beginning. You can find more information here Fresh Start Server List
Private servers:
We are working with some server hosting providers to ensure that they are ready to host the UE5 version on launch day. While this should provide most of our private server owners with a seamless experience, it is not possible for us to collaborate with all the companies that may be providing hosting services for Conan Exiles. If you are interested in knowing whether your provider will be ready for the UE5 update and what that process will look like, please reach out to them directly.
Note regarding consoles and UE4 servers: Console servers (Xbox and PlayStation) will remain on UE4 and there will be no immediate change for those platforms related to the UE5 update. For those who wish to continue playing UE4 on a dedicated PC server, you should be able to continue using the UE4 client and renting a private UE4 server from your hosting provider.
Will Conan Exiles Enhanced support rented servers?
We’re working with select hosting providers to support the UE5 version at launch. For details about your server, please contact your hosting provider directly.
Can I play on any official servers, regardless of the version of the game I am using?
The short answer is “no,” but the details depend on the platform you are playing on. Your client version must match the version of the server. All official PC servers will be updated to UE5, and because the UE5 update is only available on Steam, this unfortunately means players on Epic Games Store and Windows Store will not be able to access official servers from launch. You will, however, still be able to play solo or in co-op on private or self-hosted servers. Consoles (Xbox and PlayStation) will remain on UE4, as will the official servers for those platforms.
Why aren’t there any Isle of Siptah servers on PC anymore?
The Isle of Siptah has been merged with the Exiled Lands, which means that separate servers are no longer necessary. All Isle of Siptah players on dedicated servers will need to be moved to Exiled Lands servers, where they can then return to the Isle of Siptah through character creation (if they choose to make a new character) or through an in-game teleport (if they choose to move their existing character to the new server).
Adding the Isle of Siptah to the Exiled Lands allows for a better experience in switching between the two maps, but also required a change to the physical coordinates of the island. As such, bases on the Isle of Siptah cannot be preserved in the UE5 update. The best option for players who want to keep their characters from the Isle of Siptah is to prepare for the update by dismantling their bases and storing the materials in their followers’ inventories, along with all of the other items they want to take along with them. This should be done prior to the Official server downtime of May 4th, 15:00 UTC. For Official servers, once the update to Conan Exiles Enhanced happens, their character will be moved to an Exiled Lands server, along with their followers. They will then be able to return to the Isle of Siptah by speaking to one of several special NPCs scattered around the Exiled Lands. From there, they can stake out a land claim, place out their followers, and rebuild their bases. More details specific to your particular server type are explained in the "Will existing saves carry over?" section above.
Who are Inflexion Games and what’s been their role?
The Unreal Engine 5 upgrade was developed in collaboration with Inflexion Games, and we worked together on multiple different areas for this release.
Will Mods be supported in the Enhanced version?
Yes. The new version fully supports mods, but some might need to be upgraded to work with Conan Exiles Enhanced. We are currently working with modders to make sure as many as possible will be supported in the new version of Conan Exiles.
Will there be any future content releases coming to Enhanced version?
Our focus now is the successful release of Conan Exiles Enhanced. We’ll talk about future plans when ready.
Will my purchases carry over?
Yes—everything you own comes with you. Crom Coins, Bazaar items, DLC, and Twitch Drops will all be available in the Enhanced version.
Note: Any purchases made in the UE5 version will not apply to the UE4 Conan Exiles Legacy version.
What are the new system requirements for the Enhanced version?

Grettings, Exiles! A new update has arrived for Conan Exiles on PC and console—bringing changes focused on strengthening our community and preparing the way for what’s ahead.
Exiles, we know it’s been a while since you last heard from us. While we’re not quite ready to share everything just yet, we want to assure you that we do have news coming very soon. Until then, we’ll be rolling out an important update.
The R15 update is part of a significant backend overhaul of Conan Exiles, introducing new systems designed to streamline server management.
As such, we’re reintroducing Character Transfers, giving you more freedom to choose where you play and making it easier to join friends, allies, and new communities across the Exiled Lands.
Player‑Controlled Character Transfers
Players will be able to move their characters freely between servers. These transfers will preserve all essential progress, including:
Character levels and progression
Items in your player inventory and hotbar
Followers and their inventories
The transfer system will only store one character per player account at a time. When a player exports a character, they cannot export another character until they:
Import that character to a new server or single-player game
Manually delete the character via the settings menu
In addition, there is a timer connected to the character transfer preventing the character from being moved until the timer has run out. This is a system to prevent any exploits.
In order to use Character Transfer, characters cannot be in a Clan.
Alongside this, we’ll be merging select servers later in May, giving you time to consider your options. These merges are intended to help bring players together, support healthier server populations, and ensure the world of Conan Exiles continues to feel active and alive.
By giving players control over their transfers—and only stepping in when necessary—Funcom is aiming for a smoother, more transparent transition.
Console players on low-populated worlds who didn’t migrate to servers of their choosing within the timeframe provided, will be transferred to more populated worlds.
Players will be notified well in advance of any server closures, providing sufficient time to relocate voluntarily before any forced migrations occur.
Press the 'ESC' key on your keyboard or 'Options' button on a controller to bring up the options menu. Under the 'Character' section, select the option 'Server Transfer'.
The 'Export Character' menu will open, beginning with a data summary. Some of the displayed data may not be correct; this is a purely visual error and a known issue that will be fixed in a future patch.
Proceed through the data summary to the confirmation dialogue, where you will be shown which types of servers your character can be transferred to before confirming the transfer.
After this is completed you will receive a confirmation message, then you will be disconnected from the server and redirected to the Main Menu.
Access the Server Browser menu.
Select a server to which you want to transfer your character. An icon will appear in the 'LV' column of the server browser that will indicate which servers are eligible for your character based on the server type it was exported from. The icon will not appear if you already have a character on that server.
After entering the server and accessing the character creation menu, press the 'Import Character' button.
If you have exported character data and you attempt to create a character on a server which does not support or allow importing your exported character, then in the character creation menu you will instead see a 'Cannot Import Character' button. Interacting with this button will present you with a message indicating why the character cannot be imported.
The Character Import window will open, beginning with a character data summary. Click through the confirmation prompts to begin the import process.
If the character import process was successful you will spawn into the map near a starting point.

The new update has arrived in the Exiled Lands! Featuring fixes, tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements, today’s patch focuses on smoothing out your adventures - whether you’re crafting, building, or delving into the arcane.
Let’s take a quick look at some of the changes, and you can find the full patch notes below.
Building & Crafting Improvements
Construction just got easier. Your follower will now supply materials directly while you build with the Construction Hammer, no more over encumbered stumbling around your base. Crafting stations can also pull needed resources straight from your inventory, making the whole process much more streamlined.
Sorcery Enhancements
Sorcery sees a wide range of upgrades this update. Casting with the Arcane Staff is faster, early spells no longer require reagents, and Tome of Kurak progression has been smoothed out. Sorcerer thralls also offer new efficiency bonuses at the Sacrificial Stone, making your ascent into the dark arts more rewarding than ever. New rituals have been added as well, allowing you to summon entities such as the Traitor of Blood or the enigmatic It That Hunts, with powerful benefits for those brave enough to perform the rites.
Thrall Trading Arrives
A new Thrall Trader knowledge is now available, letting you construct selling stations for human followers, animals, and even golems. Whether you're clearing out excess workers or looking for new ways to earn gold, this system opens fresh opportunities in the Exiled Lands’ bustling economy.
Purge Adjustments & Stability Fixes
We’ve made several improvements to Purge spawning behavior and landclaim detection, addressing issues where Forward Operating Bases could appear in the wrong place. A variety of crash fixes and stability tweaks are also included to help your adventures run more smoothly.
New items added to the Bazaar
These will be released on a rotating schedule, so be sure to check back regularly and grab your favorites as they appear!
There’s plenty more to discover in today’s update!

Greetings Exiles,
It’s been a while, so we’re very glad to be writing this post! We’re finally ready to share some updates.
First of all, we’re excited to announce that the team has been working hard wrapping up the next update that will be released in December. In our quest to continue improving Conan Exiles, this update will bring quality of life improvements, bug fixes, stability improvements, and new items to the Bazaar.
A couple of highlights include:
Building with the construction hammer now uses resources carried by your follower. No more needing to over encumber yourself before building that extension onto your base!
Starting recipes at a crafting station will now automatically pull resources from your inventory. Less fiddling around with items, more making the thing you want.
Numerous improvements to sorcery, such as new summoning rituals, rebalanced and accelerated Tome of Kurak progression, and removal of tier 1 spell reagent costs.
New items added to the Bazaar store.
We hope your weapons are sharp and your eyes sharper, because the Head Hunting event returns from November 25 to December 9. Get exclusive rewards to dominate the Exiled Lands.
But don't burn out because you’ll need that flame when the Dark Dregs event arrives from December 18 to January 6. Again, exciting rewards await those who brave the thickening darkness.
Thank you all for your patience and support during this time of somewhat sparse news. We’ll soon announce the date for the December update and have more to talk about for next year.

Greetings, Exiles!
We’ve been hard at work at the tinkerer’s bench, and we’re ready with the fruits of our toils: The August Update includes a slew of bugfixes, optimizations, and quality-of-life improvements for Conan Exiles, as well as some new content and goodies to delve into:
Better pathing for Living Settlements NPCs, improved performance during Purges, a “Coup de Grace” truncheon fix, and multiple streaming and loading optimizations and fixes--among tons of other improvements.
Introducing the Dark Dregs! Find light in the darkness in a fresh twist on a classic dungeon experience, available for a limited time from now until September 19th. New challenges and rewards await those who brave the depths!
Dark Dregs replaces the original Dregs while it is active, and is accessible through the same entrance.
After the 19th, it will join Bounty Hunting and The Sacred Hunt as rotating events and will return for set intervals in the future.
The Black Lotus Bazaar has new delights for the fashionable and discerning Exile! Look forward to new bundles like Khitan New Year and the Vanir Cabin!
As we’ve continued our work on Conan Exiles this year and focusing on the overall health of the game, we'd also like to provide an update on the direction we're taking future updates.
We previously talked about making Conan Exiles better and not just bigger. We’ve seen this decision resonate with many of you as well. As part of that effort, we are moving away from the Age and Chapter structure which was about making the game bigger. We will continue to work on fixing long-standing bugs, make tweaks to existing content and add more quality of life changes to the game.
