Hi everyone!
We hope you are having a good summer!! We have some good CloverPit vinyl news!
We just wanted to give a quick shoutout to our composer Clement, who created the amazing CloverPit soundtrack! He recently teamed up with Stumpy Frog Records to release it on vinyl (so cool!!!), and we wanted to share it here in case you'd like to check it out. Cover art is made by the talented Franck Besançon who also made our trailers!
The vinyl features 4 extended tracks, comes on a special coloured pressing, is limited to just 500 copies, and is expected to ship in October. It was always a dream of ours to one day hold one of our game's soundtracks as a physical record, so seeing this become a reality is incredibly special.
You can find more information and order it here!
If you'd rather listen digitally, the soundtrack is also available on Bandcamp and all the major streaming services.
All the best,
Matteo & Lorenzo
Hey everyone!
Today’s a big one: Unholy Fusion, CloverPit’s first DLC, is officially live, alongside the free 1.4 update for the base game!
The DLC was just shadow-dropped (👀) during the Triple-i Initiative showcase, along with a brand-new trailer, and it brings a strange new addition to your cell: the Surgery Machine!
With the help of that bloody device, you can now fuse charms together into a single, more powerful one, giving you the possibility to create even more broken combos. Besides the new fusion charms, we’ve been adding plenty of other surprises to the game - if you thought you had seen all the pit could offer, think again!
What's new in the Unholy Fusion DLC:
Surgery Machine: fuse charms into one single, powerful trinket
30 Fusion Charms: discover overpowered charms that will entirely change your build
11 New Charms for further build variety
4 Symbol Modifiers to twist the rules further
7 Memory Cards to challenge your playstyle
1 Secret Finale
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4341120/CloverPit_Unholy_Fusion
Even if you don’t grab the DLC, we’ve got something new for you! The base game just got an upgrade with the 1.4 ‘Leaderboards’ update:
Online leaderboards are now live! You can finally prove your builds are the most pit-broken
Online leaderboards are separate for normal mode, hard mode, and for versions with and without DLC. However you fancy playing, you’ll find a way to compete!
And because it’s nicer to celebrate with others, we’ve bundled CloverPit with the fantastic peeps of Button Mash and Polden Publishing, who just released Final Sentence - a mashup of Battle Royal and typing game - during the Triple-i Initiative. The bundle is “Complete the Set”, so you’ll get a discount even if you already own CloverPit! https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/71805/Final_Sentence_x_CloverPit/
Finally, we’d love to hear what you think and see the absolutely unhinged builds you come up with. Come join our Discord server, or leave us a message on the Steam forums!
See you in the pit 👋
- Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
Hey everyone, We’ve got some very cool news: CloverPit will be taking part in the upcoming Triple-i Initiative showcase on the 9th of April at 9am PT/6pm CET! We’ve been cooking some truly exciting stuff, and we can’t wait to show our crazy ideas.
You can watch their reveal trailer here:
If you’re not familiar with the Triple-i Initiative, the show is 45 minutes of back-to-back trailer goodness - no host, no ads or sponsors! Just a curated selection of amazing games, with world premieres, gameplay reveals, launch dates, demo drops, and more.
It also means a lot to us, as we made our first reveal of CloverPit, along with our demo launch, at this showcase last year! Never in our wildest dreams would we have believed we’d receive so much support and interest for our weird slot-machine game, so we’re doubly excited to be back!
How to watch:
It'll be streamed on April 9th on Youtube, Twitch, and right here on Steam!
Check out https://iii-initiative.com/ for more information.
We hope you’re as hyped as we are! See you on April 9th, aaaaaaaaaa - Matteo & Lorenzo
Hey everyone, 2025 is coming to a close, and so are the Steam Awards! CloverPit is a finalist in the Steam Awards Best Game on Steam Deck category - how wild is that? Our little game, made by two Italian dudes (that’s us!)? Wild!!! We hope you can once again vote for us for that last round and help us win the Award 🙏 And even if you don’t, you know what, it’s already been incredible to get there!
Thank you again for all your support - it’s been a crazy year for us, and never in our wildest dreams did we imagine our weird slot-machine x horror roguelike would be met with so much love! We’d never have gone this far without you ❤️ Thank you all, and let’s go gaaaaaaaambling - Matteo and Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
Hey everyone!
Update 1.3 is officially live, and we want to give a massive thank you to everyone who shared feedback after the Hard Mode Update. This update mainly implements a bunch of changes based on your feedback to improve the difficulty curve in Hard Mode, some charms as well as smaller quality of life improvements!
The full patch notes are available here, but here’s a breakdown of some of the biggest changes:
A smoother (and fairer) Hard Mode: The deadline no longer jumps to a brutal flat 2x, it now scales gradually. It should be much nicer!
Memory Cards & Rainbow Cards reworked: We’ve rebalanced the whole memory system:
Rainbow holographic cards are now permanent. Once unlocked, they’re yours forever.
Memory packs only spawn the cards you don’t have in holo yet, making completing the collection feel way better.
Hardcore Mode now rewards double the memory packs.
Old Wounds got a full redesign: it now makes every deadline 50% easier.
Charms and cigarettes: We buffed some charms (bricks and wood), and… CIGARETTES GOT A REBALANCE!
They’re guaranteed to appear in the shop once unlocked, start cheaper, but now they get +1 ticket more expensive each time you buy them (until the deadline resets). Balance!
Accessibility upgrades: We’ve added a new setting to reduce flashes and improved text visibility on posters for color-blind players. Thanks for flagging this!
And a couple of smaller polish fixes!
This update should make Hard Mode feel tougher in a way that feels fair and progression smoother. We hope you enjoy those changes, and as usual, we’d love to hear what you think.
On a side note, we are very excited to announce that the mobile port of CloverPit is available RIGHT NOW! It’s the full CloverPit experience available as a premium app, and you can watch the trailer here:
That’s all for now! See you in the pit 👋 - Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
Deadline now scales gradually instead of a flat 2x. This makes so much more sense as the first deadline is playable, and we can also ramp difficulty overtime, and the difficulty scaling is not so intense to make the unlocking of rainbow cards excessively difficult
Added a warning with instructions for whenever a save data gets corrupted (mostly due to os crashes)
Rainbow holographic cards are now permanent and don’t need to be found in packs anymore
Once all cards are holographic and thus permanent, no more memory packs will spawn
As you foil cards into rainbow holographic, memory packs will be spawning the ones that are not holographic yet, making it easier to complete the collection.
Slightly changed the algorithm that picks memory cards
Hardcore mode now rewards double the memory packs
Changed the Old Wounds memory card: since cards can now be permanent, the effect is now about making all deadlines 50% easier. If you ever wanted to have a more relaxed CloverPit run, this is now the card for you.
Buffed bricks and wood charms to a 25% chance of applying the token modifier
Cigarettes, baby!!!!! They are once again guaranteed 100% to spawn in the store, BUT they start cheaper and increase their cost by 1 ticket each time you buy them. Cost will reset at the deadline end!
Added a setting to reduce flashes! Both full-screen flashes and in-room flashing elements (example: jackpot animations) - Full-screen flashes all fallback to black color when this setting is on
Increased alpha and added shadows to text on posters to help people with color blindness
Hey everyone!
First things first: thank you to everyone who shared feedback on the Hard Mode Update! Hearing about your experience is massively helpful for us (we’re a small team to read all your comments), and we heard you loud and clear; a few things definitely needed some tuning.
We’ve been hard at work since launch, and we’re happy to say a hotfix is coming next Wednesday. You can expect a smoother difficulty curve in Hard Mode, charm adjustments (yes, cigarettes are back), a new system for memory cards, and general balance tweaks and fixes.
We really take your feedback to heart, so if you’d like to try these changes before the official release, you can test them now on our open beta branch.
How to access the beta branch:
Go to your Steam Library and right-click on CloverPit
Select Properties
Open the Betas tab
In the Beta Participation dropdown, choose “Beta_Test”
If you want to revert to the default branch, just follow the same instructions and select “None” in the Beta Participation dropdown.
And lastly… a little bonus news: we’ve partnered with a wonderful porting team, and the mobile version of CloverPit launches on December 17th! The Pit will soon be able to follow you everywhere. No escape… only debts.
That’s all for now! More soon, and we’ll see you next week!
See you in the pit, Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
Hey everyone!
We’ve got a little surprise for you today! If you’ve seen our newest trailer, you might have caught a glimpse of something mysterious at the end… 👀
Did you spot it? That’s right - Unholy Fusion, our very first DLC, is officially on the way!
We’re not saying too much yet (the slot gods forbid it), but let’s just say things in the Pit are about to take a twisted turn!
That’s if for now, but to make sure you don’t miss any info, keep an eye here or on our official Discord!
See you in the pit,
– Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
Hi gamblers! Matteo and Lorenzo from the dev team here! We just wanted to say huge thanks for the support as always!
We also wanted to address the recently launched Hard Mode Update (1.2) that got a lot of good feedback about it but we are also reading all comments from people that aren’t happy with some of the changes and we really appreciate the feedback!
Please bear with us - we are a 2 person dev team and after crunching a lot for launch we are taking things a bit slower post launch to not burn out. But we are already working on things (hehe) and wanted to give a heads-up on two bits:
We are currently working through all feedback and will start working on a hotfix for update 1.2 that addresses some of the points (we’ll likely make hard mode a bit easier / tweak it as this is feedback we have gotten a lot) as well as other smaller tweaks.
For future updates we’ll get your feedback earlier! We plan to start having a beta testers branch on Steam that will get updates earlier and then we can get any feedback ahead of the public launch. This will start this process with the 1.2 hot fix and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready for testing.
Thanks for all the feedback again and see you in the pit! Matteo & Lorenzo
Hi everyone,
We just want to say it again, THANK YOU so much for all your incredible support! We still can’t believe how the launch went… like… WE’VE OFFICIALLY SOLD 1 MILLION COPIES!!! What?! 🤯 We are truly in shock and deeply grateful to all of you who have supported us on this wild ride!
Of course, we haven’t just been celebrating! We’ve also been hard at work cooking up a big new update.
The Hard Mode Update (v1.2) is now live, and you can play it right now! It adds our most requested feature yet: even harder challenges.
Introducing HARD MODE: So many of you asked for more challenges, and here you go! Once you win a run with a memory card, you’ll unlock the option to take it on again in Hard Mode, featuring double the deadline amount! Winning during hard mode will now make the memory card rainbow, instead of having to win with that memory card 3 times - wild! This applies to all memory cards, so there’s plenty of new, super-tough stuff to test your skills.
Rebalancing:
Since launch, we’ve received a ton of thoughtful feedback about game balance. We’ve reworked loads of charms, values, and other little details to make everything smoother and fairer. Thank you all for helping us fine-tune the game!
New and improved UI:
The game now does a better job at communicating goals and endgame challenges. We’ve also made a bunch of small bug fixes and UX tweaks to make things clearer and more enjoyable overall.
You can view the full patchnote here, and that’s it for now. We hope you enjoy this new update!
See you in the pit 👋
– Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
GAMEPLAY
Added Hard mode to memory cards: if you win with a memory card once you will now unlock the possibility to play it with double the deadline ammount.
Winning during hard mode will now make the memory card rainbow, instead of having to win with that memory card 3 times.
Calendar buffed: now it increases the symbols multiplier instead of increasing the symbols themselves.
Calendar is now Rare instead of Uncommon
Ring bell now increases the symbols multiplier instead of the symbols themselves.
Ring bell now costs 2 tickets instead of 3
Hourglass’effect has been changed as it was the most useless thing ever seen in the entire universe. Now it alternates between growing the symbols and pattern multipliers at the end of each deadline, but it takes 1 extra space. It’s really strong and do not argue against me, OK??!?!?! You will need to use ur big brain between using this or the megaphone or the nuke button. They keep me prisoner in a cell under the Pacific Ocean! Please call for help!
Hourglass now costs a bit more and it’s rare. Nothing special to read here. Please continue reading :)
Cigarettes now have an 80% chance of restocking the store with them in it. it was too game-breaking (sorry, folks!)
CloverPot has been nerfed; it was too game-breaking (sorry, folks, again!)
Nerfed Naughty Dealer
Nerfed Bricks, Wood, Sheep, Wheat, Stone, Harbor & Thief
Charm trait about symbols multiplier now grants +2 instead of 1
Tickets charm trait now grants +3 tickets instead of 2
Buffed fruit basket to 10 rounds duration instead of 7
Deadlines will grow more exponentially after 15 deadlines
VARIOUS
Added game completition % near the toilet
Added counter of how many memory cards the player has fully foiled into rainbow holographic
Added counter of how many memory cards the player has cleared
Made dialogue red after the bad ending, so people will pay attention to it and assume they are not done yet with the game.
Added check for mods. If a game is modded, a gear will show up in the bottom left!
When you click on the door key in the box, once the skeleton is completed, if it’s not the deadline time a dialogue will show up prompting you to keep playing
FIXES
Disabled Twitch integration on Linux platforms for those who experienced crashes when there was no internet connection
Added manual garbage collection in some situations trying to mitigate memory leaks when using linux with proton
Weird Clock now resets its deadline limit even if it’s inside a drawer.
Weird Clock now doesn’t reset the deadline limit when discarded. Only the end of deadline can reset the limit
Weird Clock won’t show up in the store as long as it has reached the usage limit
Fixed bug where some 3d models in drawers would overlap with charms (like the vynil player)
Paredolia effect is now permanent as per description
Added a safeguard to prevent infinity value on patterns value, to avoid crashes. The patterns will be clamped to max value: 1.7976931348623157E+308
Fixed cloverfield tickets bonus. It only granted half of it
Fixed items appearing small in stats screen after death/victory
Fixed localization issues as per player feedback
Rotten pepper now works as it should: doesn’t reset if you continue the previous run after closing the game.
Hey folks! We're 20 days out from launch now, and are still trying to get our heads around how amazing the reception to this thing we made has been - you might have seen we hit 750k sales in 2 weeks, and that number continues to go up every day! We also made Steam's Top 12 releases for September alongside Silksong, Borderlands 4 and Megabonk (despite the fact we launched right at the end of the month)! Thank you again from the bottom of our little Italian hearts <3 We're deep in planning updates to give you all plenty more to do in CloverPit - more news on that very soon!
In the meantime, you might have noticed another incredible indie roguelike has been lighting up the charts this week, BALL X PIT from the wildly talented Kenny Sun and our friends at Devolver Digital. We're huge fans, and if you love CloverPit there's a good chance BALL X PIT will be very much your thing too. we're doing a bundle together, and of course it's called "The Pit Bundle" lmao
owners of CloverPit will get 10% off of BALL x PIT on Steam!
or get an extra 10% off if you get both games, nice!
SEE YOU IN THE PIT
-Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik ArcadeHi everyone, We just wanted to let you know we've updated the game with different bug fixes, and also accelerated the slot machine animation. Here's the full list:
transition speed now affects patterns animations,
transition speed now affects charms trigger animations,
To listen to a disc you now need to actually see the vinyl player in a drawer, then put the disc in it.,
Removing a disc from a drawer will stop its music, if already playing,
Full collection achievement SHOULD now unlock,
The exploit of the giant mushroom being put in a drawer no longer works,
Fixed the hard limit of equippable charms to 33,

fixed sardines in combo with cloverfield
We hope you enjoy this first patch! - Matteo and Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
Hey everyone,
First off, a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who bought and played our game. CloverPit has gone viral since launch on Friday, and it’s all thanks to your support!! 300,000 copies sold in just 4 days, and we’re just two little Italian devs… mamma mia, this is a dream come true! And can you believe it? Most of the top streamers picked up our game, and at one point, we even had more Twitch viewers than Fortnite. Never in our wildest dreams.
Secondly, we want you to know that we’re closely reviewing all your feedback, both here and on our Discord. We’re working hard to address issues and improve the game. In fact, our first patch is available right now! Along with fixes, we’re also adding a fan-requested feature: the slot machine's animation speeds up when those crazy combos kick in 🔥
You can see all the changes in the patchnote here.
Finally, a quick word of warning: there are scam games out on iOS and Android pretending to be CloverPit. They’re total rip-offs (and possibly dangerous!). If you spot one, please report it. For now, CloverPit is only available on PC via Steam. If we ever release on mobile 👀 you’ll hear it from us first - so don’t fall for the scammers.
That’s all for today, keep an eye on this page for patch news!
We love you more than an ATM loves money, – Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik Arcade

-Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
Hi everyone!
We have some news to share: we have decided to delay the launch of CloverPit a little.
The good news is it’s not long: CloverPit will now launch on the 26th September!!
Some of you might already have guessed the reason for the delay: Hollow Knight: Silksong.
The release date for Silksong was announced yesterday, and it’s only one day after CloverPit our original launch date. Silksong is the most anticipated and wishlisted game on all of Steam and we think people will love this game and play it right at launch (including us) but that also means it will overshadow all games launching close to it. So if we stick to our original date we would risk the launch of CloverPit a fair bit.
We poured our hearts into our little game so of course we want to give it the best possible shot. We hope you can understand - we’ll use the extra time of course to polish the game even further and we hope for your support at launch either way.
See you in the pit!
-Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
Hi everyone,
Today we got huge news, you’ve heard that right: we got a release date!!
CloverPit is almost finished and will be all yours on the 3rd of September, that’s just three weeks away!!! We also made a new trailer for the date reveal, please enjoy!
Since we announced our game in April we have been on a wild ride that went far beyond our expectations, thank you SO SO much for the support! To celebrate the release date announcement we have made a list of the most surreal moments from the last few months…
🍋 Watching wishlist numbers climb to over 420,000 (wild wild wild)
🍒 Seeing major like xQc, Cartoonz, Nothernlion, Vinesauce & LIRIK play our little game
🍀 Making it into the top 100 most wishlisted games on Steam (!!!)
🔔 Over 700,000 downloading our demo (WHAT???)
💎 Taking part in big gaming events like the Triple-I showcase and PC Gaming Show
💰 Over 25,000 Steam users requested access to the playtest
🎰 This incredible review from Northernlion saying “the demo is better than 99% of the games I’ve ever played”!
So as you can imagine, it’s safe to say we’ve had the most incredible rollercoaster of a ride finishing CloverPit and we really hope you love it! Be sure to wishlist if you haven’t already, keep playing the demo, and get ready to join us for our launch on the 3rd September.
We’ll see you in the pit
- Matteo & Lorenzo from Panik Arcade
Since we’re making good progress with CloverPit, we’ve decided to open up playtests! You (yes YOU) can sign-up now via the Clover Pit Steam page.
If you’d like to play an in-development version of the game and give us feedback, please sign-up on the CloverPit Steam page so we can make it as good as possible!
Q: How do I sign-up for the playtest?
Just go the CloverPit Steam page and hit the “sign up for playtest button”! Also while you're at it, please remember to wishlist our game if you haven't done so yet - it helps us tremendously!
Q: Does everyone get into the playtest? Unfortunately not! At the moment, we are looking for a limited amount of playtesters to give us feedback, but we are not opposed to doing another round if needed! And we will of course let you know as soon as possible when we have an official release date :)
Q: When will the playtest start? Very soon!
Q: How will playtesters be selected?
At random! Let’s go gambling!!
Q: Can I share videos, streams, screenshots from the playtest? No! We kindly ask all playtesters to not share content from the playtest on Discord or online. We want to keep surprises ready for future players :)

We also have a small favor to ask: If you’ve played the demo before, could you please play it again? It helps us tremendously with the mighty Steam algorithm, which is super important for helping indie games like ours get seen.
