lapspider45's Soundtrack for the game is now available on Steam!! The soundtrack comes in both MP3 and FLAC format, and also includes a personal note by him.
Please check it out!! I still gush over the work he did on this game to this day.
There is also a bundle for both the OST and the game. If you already own the game, you can get the OST at a discount via. the bundle option, too!
Art as always by the incredible slas.
Added Scary Mode to Gameplay Options
Hello! Got another small patch to add/fix some stuff left over from the last one.
TOGGLE HUD: Added a new option to toggle the HUD of the game on/off. It can be accessed via the keybind settings, and is by default unbound to prevent folks from accidentally pressing it. A bit of a request as some people wanted to take cleaner screenshots.
TERRAIN EXPERT FLAG IN END SCREEN: Another request. There is now a little "Terrain Expert" icon in the end-screen if you finished the game while satisfying the Achievement conditions. It can be found in the top right, and will not be there if you didn't fulfill the conditions.
INCREASED DEFAULT, NON-MOUSE ZOOM SPEED: What it says. The default, non-mouse zoom speed is now a bit faster. It was a bit sluggish before.
Fixed the "Tutorial Message Box" staying and causing various issues if you leave to the main menu while it's open: It should properly reset now. This caused multiple issues, such as allowing for the infamous "0:00" speedrun, as well as bugging out games where players would no longer receive any "Tutorial Message Boxes" as the game continued, as the previous one would still be there, just invisible.
Fixed various softlock spots in the map: There were a few nasty trees in the map that allowed Cirno to go under them, causing her to get permanently stuck with no escape. These trees have been lowered to avoid Cirno from getting under them in the first place.
Various smaller fixes.
There has been a small subset of players unable to play the game on very old hardware due to rendering device/hardware incompatibility issues.
If you are one of the affected players and are playing on Windows, please try out this new branch! It switches to the Direct3D 12 Rendering Device instead, which may fix the issue. As I do not have an older machine with this issue available to me, I'm unfortunately not able to test this on my own. So if you want to help out: please report back if this fixes the issue! The game should look and play exactly the same across Vulkan and D3D12, so if D3D12 resolves the gray screen issue, I may just make it the default for Windows.
The branch can be accessed by right clicking the game on Steam, Properties, "Game Versions and Betas", and then entering the password in the text box of that screen.
And that's that.

The game just reached the 500 Review barrier, and with that, achieved a rating of "Overwhelmingly Positive" on Steam!! I know I'm repeating myself across the announcements, but for a game that's been out for just around 2 weeks, this is seriously insane to me. Thank you so much!!

Hello! I've prepared a little update for the game!
After having been visited by so many friendly faces, a certain someone has decided to renovate their room to make it a bit more lively.
After beating the game, there is now a little icon in the pause menu that tells you if your current save is eligible for the "TERRAIN EXPERT" achievement. It will be colored if you haven't used your flutter jump yet, but turn gray once you do. This icon is only visible after beating the game once, and only if you don't have the achievement yet.
Made the credits scroll slightly faster on their own.
The main menu will now report whether you are connected to the Steam Client or not.
The "Snow" graphics setting has been updated to now also include a slider next to the toggle. This lets you directly control the amount of snow in the game, and even lets you go up to 200% for a very snowy experience! Do note that this is an expensive graphical effect however, low-end machines beware!
Warmed up a bench?
Wondered if anyone saw that shadow?
Under Gameplay, there is now an option to turn the friendly guiding item orb on or off. It is on by default, but if you found it to be annoying, you can now turn it off.
Reworked the way achievements are handed out in-game. For 99% of users, this should have no effects. For the 1% that had weird interactions with achievements, I hope this fixes the issue.
Talked to Cirnese experts to fix a critical error in translation.
Fixed misc. Steam Deck issues. The game has been resubmitted for verification, so it'll hopefully get that nice green "verified"!
Fixed the power display having used a comma, instead of a period.
Various minor fixes not important enough to write about.
I'd also like to use this update to say thank you to everyone that has downloaded the game, played it, wrote a review, took a screenshot, told a friend, streamed it, speedran it, or posted about it on social media. I've honestly been completely blown away by the reception of the game, and seeing how much fun everyone is having with this silly little game made me very happy. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
While I'm deeply thankful of everyone that worked on the game (especially to make those 17 indvidual translations possible), I'd once again like to bring slasco (twitter, bsky) (Cover artist for the game's Steam capsules) and lapspider45 (music) up. Please check both of them out! Without their help, this game wouldn't be what it is.
And that's that.
