Over the past weeks, development has accelerated significantly. The game now has a growing group of playtesters helping test mechanics, progression, balance, bugs, and overall gameplay flow. Their feedback has been incredibly valuable and is helping shape the game into a much stronger experience.

A lot of work has also been going into improving the overall quality of the game — including gameplay systems, polish, balancing, content expansion, presentation, and overall pacing. Every update is bringing the project closer to the vision I originally had for it.

There is still work ahead, but the game is steadily moving toward completion, and I’m very excited about the progress being made.

I have been working with various people now to update the new game file with new content and art. I am also having someone create a better trailer for me. And I am updating various in-game art, Steam images (like capsules), animated GIFs in the description, and screenshots. Additionally, I am learning new things, such as marketing and how to improve the Steam page to help this game. I am preparing for a new update around or after the 2026 Steam summer sale, and there have been many hours of work from me and others since the last update.

I have finished the main story cutscenes and have been working hard on the main battles. The game isn't nearing completion, but there is a lot more content in my project now, and after nearly 10 months without a game update, I am hoping to do this update. I just need some initial testing done first.

Hello, everyone!

I continue working on the game. The main story cutscenes (all 3 ending) are already complete. And the cutscenes are far superior to the ones in the current version. I haven't updated the files in more than 6 months now. Do you guys think that it would be a good idea for me to upload a video showing an epic cutscene?

Chronicles of Veldoria – Development Update

I want to share a quick update on the development of Chronicles of Veldoria.

During 2025, I made significant progress on the game, and development has continued to move forward well in 2026. Although the public game file has not been updated in more than six months, that time has been spent improving many aspects of the project.

My goal is to make the next release a major improvement over previous versions. The upcoming update is planned to include much stronger cutscenes, the full story, improved gameplay systems, and overall higher quality throughout the game.

I care deeply about this project and want to make sure the next version represents the game as it is meant to be experienced.

My current goal is to release the next version of Chronicles of Veldoria in the first half of 2026.

I haven't announced for a while now. I want to let you know that this project is not dead but is still very much alive.

Since the last update, I have worked on it for tens of hours and have gotten a lot done during that time.

I worked on the story for all 6 main acts during this time and have made good progress. There is always so much work for this, and I am planning to complete this game.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share a quick but exciting update about Chronicles of Veldoria. Development is still moving forward steadily and strongly. I’ve already put over 100 hours of work into the game this year alone, and in total, I’ve been developing this project for about 2.5 years. Thank you all for your patience and support through this journey — it truly keeps me motivated.

My mapper is also working extremely hard, and I’m thrilled to say that mapping is now up to Act 5 out of 6. The world of Veldoria is really coming to life, and every region is becoming richer, more detailed, and more immersive.

My current goal is to complete the entire main story — all main acts — by the end of the year. Once that’s done, I’ll move on to finishing side content, balancing, polish, and all the extra features that make an RPG shine.

I’ve been working really hard on Chronicles of Veldoria lately and wanted to share a quick update. The story and main content are getting closer to completion, and I’ve been putting in extra effort to bring everything together. My goal is to finish the entire game’s story soon.

That said, I want to be transparent—I’m still not 100% sure if I’ll be able to finish everything, but I’m continuing to push forward and do my best. Even after completing the main story, I plan to spend some time making adjustments, refinements, and general polish to improve the overall experience.

We want to sincerely apologize to those of you who experienced trouble launching Chronicles of Veldoria after installing it from Steam.

Due to a packaging issue, the game was being installed in an unexpected folder structure, which prevented Steam from properly finding and launching the game on some systems. While the game files were intact, this caused frustration for some users who understandably expected a seamless launch.

We’ve now applied a temporary fix by updating the launch settings on Steam, and the game should launch correctly for all new and existing players. 🎮✨

I just wanted to give you a quick update on what's happening behind the scenes here at Chronicles of Veldoria.

As mentioned before, I’m now working with a new story writer to help bring more life, twists, and depth to the world of Veldoria—and I’m super excited about what’s coming next. 🎭✨

💥 Act 2 is officially in development! Expect brand-new maps, regions, cutscenes, monsters, and new game mechanics that expand upon everything you’ve seen so far.

🧩 Act 1 will also receive more side quests! I want to make sure the early game feels even more alive with extra lore, rewards, and meaningful NPC interactions. New secrets and optional battles are on the way.

🎮 Other improvements on the horizon:

You may have noticed that the game's store page just got a visual update — the new banner art is now live! I hope it gives a better feel for the world and energy of Chronicles of Veldoria. This is just one of many things happening behind the scenes.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve brought on a talented story writer to help breathe even more life into the world and its characters. In parallel, my mapper is hard at work crafting new areas for you to explore — expanding the world of Veldoria and deepening the journey.

I’m still handling all the programming and design on my own. I won’t lie — as a solo developer, it’s been a challenging road, and I’ve had my share of struggles. But this game truly has my heart. Every mechanic, every ability, every dialogue box — I’ve poured everything I could into making this a unique and personal experience.

I'm excited to share that I've recently brought a new writer on board! We're working together to improve the story and dialogue significantly and I will also work on the gameplay. Some people have pointed out that my game doesn't launch like it should via the Steam app. I am sorry for this! I have tried fixing it. Please try it out now and let me know somewhere. I am still pretty new to SteamWorks. Also, you can launch the game's demo via double-clicking the Game.exe file in the installed directory of my game. It is in the "Chronicles of Veldoria" folder.
