The game is afoot! We’re very pleased to announce that we are part of Steam Next Fest: June Edition (15th - 22nd). We’ve been working hard and have made a brand new demo and added an exciting new feature - Secret Files.

After completing Level 1, you'll be able to unlock the Secret Files with a hidden code. Enter a code you’ve discovered and you’ll unlock a brand-new standalone case. The codes are hidden throughout the game and across our social channels, waiting to be found! (There might even be one Closer than you think?)

On top of this update, we’ve also added:

• Reworked story presentation

• New voice audio for the characters

• Polished character interactions

• Full Localization QA across all supported languages

It’s Up to you to solve these cases before someone Else is brown bread… er that is, dead.

What is Case Solved: The London Files, and what makes it different from other detective games?

Case Solved: The London Files is a cozy noir puzzle game where you gather clues and logically deduce the correct answers, all in a cartoon 2D style and set in 1960’s London!

If you enjoyed games like Duck Detective, The Case of the Golden Idol and Return of the Obra Dinn, then Case Solved is the perfect game to settle in with your favourite hot beverage and get into that satisfying puzzle-solving flow.

How many cases are included in the demo, and how long does each one take to solve?

The demo contains one full case (Case 1, Fatal Chord) made up of five stages, which takes most players around 25–30 minutes from start to finish.

On top of that, we’ve already unlocked a few Secret Files codes: each code you find unlocks an extra bonus puzzle, and depending on its difficulty that can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes more.

Are the cases standalone, or is there an overarching story?

They’re standalone. The full game has 3 self-contained cases (Fatal Chord, Final Act and Stolen Time) each with its own setting, characters and culprit, rather than chapters of one continuous storyline. Each case gives you just enough story to set the scene, but the heart of every case is always the logical deduction.

What does the demo contain compared to the full game?

The demo is the whole of Case 1 (Fatal Chord), plus a handful of Secret Files codes that are already unlocked. The full game continues with two more, progressively trickier cases (Final Act and Stolen Time) along with the Secret Files: bonus puzzles for players who want an extra logical challenge beyond the main story.

Will demo progress carry over to the full release?

Yes, your demo progress carries over, so you can pick up right where you left off in the full game.

What’s the target release window for the full game?

What are the Secret Files, and how do they work?

The Secret Files feature is now live. Each Secret File is unlocked with a hidden code: enter a code you’ve discovered and you’ll unlock a brand-new standalone case, completely separate from the main game. Keep an eye out, because the codes are hidden throughout the game and across our promotional materials, waiting to be found. And once you complete the tutorial, the codes already work, so you can start unlocking Secret Files right away.

We’ve just released a small update to the Case Solved demo focused on stability and overall experience improvements.

We’ve made significant changes to how clues are collected in Case Solved, based directly on your feedback.

Previously, some players told us that collecting clues felt monotonous or like a step that didn’t add much to the investigation. We took that seriously.

With this update, collecting clues is now an active part of the investigation.

Instead of simply receiving information, you now need to:

• talk to suspects to get direction on what to look for

• observe the environment

• and find hidden objects in the scene to uncover clues

The goal is to make clue collection feel more natural and meaningful.

We’ve just updated the demo with a new hint system, and we’d love your help testing it.

Previously, hints worked in a very direct way: you pressed the hint button, and a correct entry appeared in the logic table.

With this update, hints work differently. You’ll now see a message on the hint button showing “found 0 of X hints”:

To unlock hints, you need to find hidden elements in the scene. Each one you discover grants a hint you can use during the investigation.

At the beginning, you might not feel the need to use hints, since the early cases are more approachable. But trust us, in later phases, they might just save you 😉

The goal is to make hints feel more connected to observation and exploration, while keeping deduction at the center of the experience.

This is an experimental system, and your feedback is essential.

If you try the updated demo, we’d love to hear:

• how this new hint system feels

• whether it fits naturally into your investigation flow

• if it helps without giving too much away

The Steam Detective Fest has officially started, and we’ve just released the first update for the Case Solved demo.

This update includes fixes and improvements directly based on the feedback we’ve been receiving from players.
