Dear CST Family, Yes, updates haven't been arriving as frequently as we would have liked. We've encountered several challenges along the way. For example, one of our team members was unexpectedly unable to work with us for nearly a month. On top of that, implementing new systems has taken longer than originally anticipated. We previously mentioned in-game that we had a planned update for April. Even with careful planning, unexpected issues can arise, and game development rarely goes exactly according to schedule. There are many features and systems currently planned for the future. Sometimes we're hesitant to talk about them too early because plans can change, and we don't want to promise something before we're certain they can be delivered. We've also seen some unfortunate rumors claiming that the developers have abandoned the game. We would like to address those concerns directly: AS LONG AS WE HAVE THE DETERMINATION OF OUR TEAM AND THE SUPPORT OF OUR PLAYERS, WE ARE STANDING BEHIND THIS GAME AND CONTINUING TO DEVELOP IT.WE LOVE THIS GAME, WE LOVE OUR COMMUNITY, AND WE ARE COMMITTED TO BRINGING CST ALL THE WAY TO VERSION 1.0. Thank you for your patience, your feedback, Steam reviews, and your continued support. ❤️ We love you all, and we'll keep moving forward together.

STEADY PROGRESS AND A SOLIDIFIED ROADMAP While we’ve been a bit quiet recently, development has been moving forward without missing a beat behind the scenes. We have been deeply focused on designing upcoming features and locking in a definitive, step-by-step roadmap for the game's future. With our plans firmly set and development progressing smoothly, we are thrilled to announce our next major milestones.
PLAYTEST: GEARBOX REPAIR & UPGRADES Starting next week, our Playtest branch will be updated with the highly anticipated Gearbox mechanics. Our testers will be the first to get their hands dirty and experience the newly implemented mechanical repair and upgrade systems for transmissions. We are eager to gather your feedback on these deep mechanical interactions before pushing them to the live build.
QUALITY OF LIFE (QOL) IMPROVEMENTS Alongside the new mechanical features, we are introducing some crucial quality-of-life improvements designed to streamline your workshop management and save you valuable time:
Bulk Deletion: You can now select and delete multiple items at once, making inventory management much faster and less tedious.
Market Inventory Tracking: When purchasing parts in the Market, the UI will now display exactly how many of that specific item you currently have in your inventory, helping you plan better and prevent accidental over-purchasing.
WHAT IS COMING NEXT The release windows for our future updates have been officially locked in, and I will be sharing a detailed visual Roadmap with you all very soon. As we focus on moving forward with stability, here is a brief look at the journey ahead:
Gearbox Mechanics: Mechanical repairs and transmission upgrades.
New Vehicle & QoL: A brand new car addition alongside further Quality of Life updates.
More Quality of Life updates.
New Brands and Cars
New Engines: V-engines, Inline-6, and more.
Incoming: Sportline Requests
ECU Mechanics: Modification, software tuning, and fault-code clearing.
Engine Overhaul: Complete engine repair, rebuilding, upgrading, and painting.
Roadside Service: Assisting with vehicle breakdowns out in the field.
Junkyard: Scavenging for salvageable parts and hidden gems.
Car Flipping & Collecting: The highly anticipated ability to buy, restore, collect, or sell cars.
As we roll out these updates, we are taking a highly stable and calculated approach to ensure quality. I know that many Early Access titles end up breaking their promises and disappointing their communities, but we are determined to change that perception.
We continue working to make CST a deeper, more technical, and more flexible experience. We wanted to share some of the new systems we are currently working on 👇
The gearbox system will now be fully replaceable and upgradable. You will have greater control over performance and structure with a part-based system.
A new lift system is being added for removing and installing gearboxes.

Stage 1 is now available for all players, introducing deep mechanical interactions with the transmission system.
You can now perform full maintenance and part replacements on the following components:
Flywheel
Clutch Disk
Pressure Plate
Release Bearing
The system allows for full disassembly of the clutch assembly, providing a more realistic and immersive mechanical experience.
The customer reception screen has been completely revamped for better workflow management:
Beyond listing faults and required repairs, the interface now includes a comprehensive checklist of requirements.
This active list shows the specific parts and conditions needed to complete the job, allowing players to plan their resources and inventory before starting the repair.
Development is already underway for several major features and the next phase of the transmission system:
Gearbox Stage 2: This will introduce transmission upgrades and further logic fixes for more complex builds.
Tow Truck: A new vehicle transport system to bring damaged cars to the workshop.
ECU Chip Tuning: Performance mapping to optimize engine management software.
Engine Tuning: Advanced mechanical modifications to push horsepower and torque to their limits.

You'll be able to learn about the new systems coming in Test #2 through a detailed window that will appear during Test #1. This way, you'll have a clearer view of the game's progression and future updates.
The game supports both singleplayer and co-op modes, so you can play however you like. Players who gain access can directly grant access to 3 Steam friends during the test. Those without friends and those who want to play co-op can meet other mechanics in the Official CST Discord server under the #hire-mechanics channel and add Steam friends to share access.
The first wave of approvals is expected Next Week. Have fun, and we’re looking forward to seeing your thoughts!
This won’t be a single playtest we’re planning multiple testing phases. Those who can’t join the first one will have the chance to access the next playtests as we increase the number of available player slots.
We haven’t shared a devlog about CST in a while. During the last Steam Next Fest, we mentioned that we would release a demo of the game. However, we’ve decided to adjust that plan in order to deliver a more stable, polished, and enjoyable experience.
Instead of a demo, we’re moving forward with a playtest approach that allows us to gather early and direct feedback from players. This way, we’ll have the opportunity to shape the game together.
We’ve made significant progress during this time, and below I’m sharing some key updates with you;
To get the most out of the playtest, we’ll be collecting some statistical data from players. This includes:
Your GPU model and average FPS
Whether or not you completed the tutorial
Time spent on each customer request
Total RP and money earned
and more...
These insights will help us improve gameplay dynamics and guide the optimization process.
We’ve also prepared a feedback form for players to share comments, suggestions, or any bugs they encounter at the end of the playtest.
We’ll be reviewing this data closely.
Our programmers are currently working on adapting the existing car physics system to support co-op gameplay, ensuring a smooth and synchronized driving experience across all players.
On the 3d design side, the biggest progress has been made on the car engine system.
We've been working on a modular engine setup for quite a while, and we’re excited to share that it's now complete. Excluding bolts, the engine currently consists of over 70+ individual parts, including multiple types of:
Belts
Sparks
Camshaft pulleys
Cylinder head covers
Oil filters
Pistons
and more...
In addition to the engine itself, we’ve also completed many of the components under the hood, such as the radiator, oil/antifreeze/water tanks, ECU, ABS pump, fuse box, and more. I’ll be sharing visuals of these parts with you!
