The original soundtrack of Bright Memory: Infinite is created by composers Jeff Rona (God of War 3, Far Cry 4) and Cody Matthew Johnson (Lost Soul Aside, Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil 2).

Cody told us “At the Tokyo Game Show in 2019, I was fortunate enough to meet PLAYISM, the publishers of Bright Memory. When they told us they were releasing Bright Memory and working with FYQD, I stopped in my tracks and begged them to just introduce us! Sure enough, as we got to know Zeng and the rest of the folks at FYQD, he approached and said ’Why don’t we work together? Why don’t you write music for Bright Memory: Infinite?’” Throughout our musical collaboration with Cody and Jeff, we exchanged countless ideas on the game’s score. They agreed on the goals of the game’s overall sound and the importance of Chinese folk music and instruments to create a large part of the game’s sonic world. In creating the music of the boss battles, such as the scene in the Dong Drum Tower, we shared many examples of famous Chinese folk songs to draw inspiration for the score’s hybrid approach, blending traditional Chinese instruments, orchestra, and synths. For Bright Memory: Infinite, I wanted to focus on adding content to give players a more satisfying experience. As a result, development took three times as long as Bright Memory. This process allowed me to learn how to create a strong game while dealing with time and financial constraints. I spent a lot of time thinking of ways to maximize whatever technology and resources available to me in order to deliver an unforgettable experience through the game. As such, Bright Memory: Infinite represents the culmination of FYQD Studio's growth. With the release of Bright Memory: Infinite almost upon us. We would like to remind you that Steam users who purchase Bright Memory before Bright Memory: Inifnite's November 11 release will receive Bright Memory: Infinite for free, with the game being added to your library automatically on release.

How is everyone doing? This is FYQD-Studio, developer of Bright Memory: Infinite. Over the past three months, I've managed to complete the voices, soundtrack, menu UI, and DLC skins. I've now moved into the final phase, which is the final polishing phase.

▼As mentioned above, development is nearing the end. In the next two months, I will be focusing on performance, difficulty, weapon, battle, voice, and music optimizations. On top of that, I will also be ironing out some bugs that are still in the game.

In the middle and later stages of the game, players will get a sniper gun. The special bullets of the sniper gun contain a viscous explosive, which can stick to the surface of any object - including enemies. The player takes on the “Mysterious Masked Man” (later discovered to be Tian Yu Emperor) in the Hanging Temple at an altitude of 20,000 meters. After collecting feedback from players, FYQD Studio has optimized Shelia’s face once again. The following is a display image, showing a comparison with an image from last year's build. The new model has some added freckles and a mole on her face, and the various facial features have been adjusted. Hello everyone! After 4 months of intense work, I am extremely happy to announce that the main parts of Bright Memory Infinite has been completed. We will now move on to voice recording, soundtrack, porting, and debugging. I will provide you with further updates as development progresses. Please stay tuned!

On 16th June(PDT), FYQD-Studio will be a part of GameSpot's live event -Play For All Livestreams-, with a new exclusive trailer to be shown. Please check it out.

For today, I would like to show you 4 brand new screenshots, which shows new elements, designs, and gameplay improvements. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/34197373/b36a11ce3ce1116b6a3fbd52f0508de1932ac2d6.jpg I have added a new infiltration mission. It features an area under an abnormal phenomenon, where the electromagnetic interference of a black hole renders Shelia's weapons and power armor useless. Sheila is forced to search for other weapons to assassinate the enemies. The assassination scenes will be showed in third-person view. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/34197373/11f40a834d7324501ace5cc108c4232dbfb00f74.jpg There are also multiple bosses that take on different forms during battle. Bright Memor's boss fight areas were too small, so I have made improvements on that and added breakable objects for Bright Memory: Infinite. The pagoda shown in the screenshot can be destroyed in realtime, which adds to the visual effects and tension of boss fights. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/34197373/924f67ae688bff6e069604c42761e58c8f761ada.jpg At last year's GDC, I showed a gameplay video of an aircraft battle scene. That was created for the purpose of technical verification. In the completed version, you will have the ability to grapple and dance around the aircraft wings to defeat multiple enemies. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/34197373/6e2ff30cb475ac00c3910b43b8d381d60b58fe31.jpg Finally, you can see Shelia speeding around in a vehicle. There will be exciting car chases in Bright Memory: Infinite where players will have avoid enemy fire while firing back with a turret. I have also added elements that will make driving difficult, such as wild animals around the map and uneven surfaces. I have also included a figure inside the vehicle that changes its expressions according to the speed at which you are travelling at, or any impact suffered by te vehicle.

With the main parts of Bright Memory: Infinite completed, I will now work on voice recording, the soundtrack, debugging, and porting. The game is currently planned for release in 2021. And those who purchase Bright Memory before Bright memory: Infinite releases will get the sequel for free!

On top of that, there will be a 20% discount on Bright Memory during the Indie Live Expo Sale on 5th June, so don't miss out on this opportunity!

Dear Bright Memory users, In the RTX update that went live on the 15th January we needed to update Unreal Engine 4, however, we realized Unreal Engine 4.2 23.1 does not support DX 11. The issue was fixed with a patch on the official Unreal Engine GitHub which now means DX 11 is supported and that Windows 7 users are now able to play Bright Memory.

Notes:

・If your graphics card does not support RTX, please select the “DX 11 option” that pops up on start up. ・The “DX12 option” is for experiencing real time ray tracing. You may experience a temporary drop in frame rate. 20/01/2020 Update Details Fixed: Windows 7 support, various bugs. Fixed: Rendering Resolution Settings Added: Options for DX11 and DX12 on start up. Optimized: If DLSS is turned on, Rendering Resolution Settings will be turned off automatically. *This is due to bugs occurring if both are set to ON.

Real-time ray tracing features in Bright Memory Early Access Ver. requires the following:

To all those who have played Bright Memory Early Access Version, we thank you for your support. As announced by FYQD Studios, due to favourable sales of the Early Access version, he has begun development of the full release version Bright Memory: Infinite. We acknowledge that there has been some misunderstanding as to the direction the project has been moving in and apologise if people had thought that there would be an episode 2 of the Early Access version. To further clarify the situation, below is a list of things that will happen from this point on;

• Regarding the Early Access version, it will be released as Bright Memory EP1 (placeholder name) along with some updates to features, languages etc. It has not yet been decided whether there will be a price increase at this point.
• We have created a brand new store page for Bright Memory: Infinite.
• Finally, and most importantly, those who purchase the early access version before the release of Bright Memory: Infinite will receive the full release free of charge.

So there will be separate pages for Bright Memory EP1 and Bright Memory: Infinite and you will be able to purchase them separately even after the release of Infinite.. We hope this has clarified the confusion around the early access/full release pages. In other news, Bright Memory: Infinite just won the RTX grand prize in the DXR Spotlight Contest hosted by NVIDIA in China! To all current and future Bright Memory fans, Nice to meet you, we are indie game publisher PLAYISM. This stunning indie title with its gorgeous environments and refreshing FPS combo action was developed by a single, self-taught, Chinese youth and quite frankly we were blown away by how highly polished it was when we were first came across it. As an indie game publisher, we felt like if there was anything we could do to help we would jump at the opportunity and so we flew over to China to meet with the developer and discuss the future of the project.
