Version 1.4.0 is now live for Blossom: The Seed of Life 🌱
This update focuses heavily on one of the most requested areas of the game:
Building systems have received several major upgrades to make base construction smoother, cleaner, and far more precise.
A brand new Grid Placement Mode has been added.
This creates a large placement grid while building, making it much easier to:
• align buildings • create cleaner bases • build organized layouts • snap structures together visually
This has been one of the most requested building features since launch and should make large-scale construction feel significantly better.
Building on uneven terrain has also been greatly improved.
New Flatten Mode allows buildings to:
• flatten uneven terrain during placement • stay upright correctly • avoid awkward tilted placements
This makes building on hills, rough terrain, and uneven surfaces much more reliable.
• Building toggles now persist per printer (camera lock, flatten mode, rotation, etc.)
• Locked Camera during building now remains locked even while moving
• All base building parts can now be targeted like normal machines and buildings
A new Hovercraft Platform has been added which allows you to call your Hovercraft directly to the platform.
This update also includes multiple fixes and gameplay improvements including:
• Fixed Storage Drones handling mixed resources incorrectly • Improved drone delivery behavior with Auto Storages • Fixed Steam Turbine water usage in Brutal & Hardcore modes • Fixed wagons breaking underneath the Life Station • Fixed Seed Synthesizer triggering on unrelated left clicks • Fixed several UI, localization, and interaction issues
As always, thank you for all the feedback and support ❤️
A lot of the improvements in this update came directly from community requests and feedback after launch.
More updates are already on the way.
See you on Mars 🌱

First of all, I just want to say thank you again for all the support since launch.
Seeing so many of you playing, sharing feedback, reporting issues, and spending time in the world of Blossom: The Seed of Life has meant a lot to me.
The launch has been amazing, and I’ve been reading through your feedback every single day. A lot of it has already shaped the recent updates, and it will continue to shape what comes next.
So today, I wanted to share a small roadmap preview of what I’m currently working on for Q2 2026.
These are the main areas I’ll be focusing on over the coming updates.
This is one of the biggest priorities right now.
A lot of players have asked for improvements to:
building placement
object selection
keybindings
overall keyboard, mouse, and controller feel
This system will be getting a major rework to make interacting with the world feel smoother, more reliable, and more intuitive.
This is something I know needs improvement, and it’s actively being worked on.
Automation is also getting expanded further.
This will include new machines and systems to make building and logistics more powerful and satisfying.
Some of the planned additions include:
Refinery Module
Auto Refinery
Auto Crafting Station
Power Switch
Wireless Power Poles
This is meant to push automation further and give you more tools for building larger and smarter systems.
A new challenge-focused mode is also planned.
This mode is aimed at players who want a more punishing and survival-heavy experience.
Planned features include:
new world generation
harder survival balancing
possible permadeath
unique achievements
This should make replaying Blossom feel fresh for players looking for a tougher run.
Base building will also continue to evolve.
A lot of you have asked for more flexibility and better snapping, and that’s something I want to improve.
Current plans include:
new base building pieces
foundations and ramps
vertical building improvements
better base snapping
decorative plant pots
The goal here is to make building feel less restrictive and give you more freedom to create bases the way you want.
This roadmap only covers the current short-term focus.
There’s still a lot more I want to add and improve in Q3–Q4 2026 and beyond, and I’ll share more as development continues.
As always, plans can shift a little during development depending on feedback and priorities, but I wanted to give you a clear idea of where the game is heading next.
Thank you again for all the support, feedback, bug reports, screenshots, reviews, and kind messages.
Blossom has already come a long way because of this community, and I’m really excited to keep improving it.
More updates are on the way soon.
See you on Mars. 🌱

A new update is now live for Blossom: The Seed of Life bringing a major overhaul to storage, automation drones, and production systems, along with a new machine and several quality-of-life improvements.
Storage has been completely redesigned to make managing items faster and more intuitive.
Instead of manually placing items into slots, you can now target a storage and press the action button to store items instantly.
Retrieving items now opens a dedicated UI, similar to Auto Storage, allowing you to take items individually or all at once.
Storage capacities have also been increased across all tiers, making base organization much easier.
A new Storage Module T3 has also been added for rovers, unlocking at Pressure Stage 8.
Mining drones now feature a new automation system with their own UI.
You can define target resource levels, and drones will automatically mine until those levels are reached.
Once targets are satisfied, drones go idle and resume mining when resources drop.
The UI now also shows resources available in Auto Storages within range, making automated mining much easier to manage.
Storage drones now also use the target resource system.
You can define how many resources should be maintained, and drones will automatically transport items to maintain those levels.
They can now transport:
refined metals
crafted materials
items lying around the world
They can also supply generators with Regolith and Uranium Rods automatically while maintaining resource targets.
Refineries have been redesigned to work like Crafting Stations and Printers.
Instead of physical item slots, refineries now open a UI where you choose ingots to refine.
They can also pull resources directly from powered Auto Storages, enabling smoother automation setups.
A new machine has been added: Recycler
It allows you to:
destroy unwanted raw ores
dismantle crafted materials back into raw ores
Unlocks at Temperature Stage 6.
Solar Panels and Wind Turbines now have an extra power socket so they can be chained together without extra power extenders
More automation updates and improvements are already in development.
Thank you for the continued feedback and support.
See you on Mars. 🌱
