Hi everyone,
Bitter Harvest 1.5 launches on Monday, August 10.
This update introduces two major new systems: complete home decoration and a substantial expansion of the mines.
Build and Decorate Your Home
The player home has been expanded and can now be fully customized.
You will be able to:
Place, rotate, move, and store furniture
Decorate using a mouse, keyboard, controller, or Steam Deck
Rearrange furniture whenever you want
Place wall decorations such as windows, clocks, and coat hangers
Create and save a different home layout for each playthrough
Version 1.5 adds 62 furniture items, including:
Chairs and couches
Beds and tables
Cabinets and appliances
Plants and lamps
Windows and clocks
Bookshelves and other decorations
Many pieces are also available in Tan, Ebony, and Birch variants.
A new furniture shop will sell every available item. Furniture does not use inventory weight and is managed separately from your regular inventory.
Explore Deeper Mine Levels
The mines have been expanded with:
Two deeper resource floors
Two puzzle floors
New daily mine progression
Resources divided between Mine Levels 2 and 3
The original mine floor remains intact so existing saves continue working safely.
Crystal Echo Puzzle
Four crystals display a sequence that you must repeat in the correct order.
The sequence changes each in-game day, and an incorrect answer simply replays the clue so you can try again.
Chest Sequence Puzzle
A group of chests opens and closes in a specific order. Repeat that sequence correctly to unlock the next mine level.
Mine progression resets overnight, giving each day a fresh journey through the expanded mine.
Existing Save Compatibility
Version 1.5 has been designed to work safely with existing saves.
Home furniture will initialize once without creating duplicates, and previously furnished homes will remain usable while gaining access to the new decoration system.
Thank you to everyone who has continued playing, sharing feedback, and supporting Bitter Harvest.
Version 1.5 arrives Monday, August 10.
