We're proud to be publishing our first update of 2026, an oft requested feature, a DISCOVERY TRACKER! You can now flip through a catalog of feathers and songs, and see which you've 'discovered' and when.
We weren't tracking this data before, so everyone will start with a blank slate. We've also made many micro-improvements to the UI and SFX while developing the iOS version of the game, which is available today! https://apps.apple.com/us/app/birdigo-word-game/id6756630305 Check it out! It's free to try, with a single IAP to unlock the full game forever. Please reach out to request features or give feedback, we're super grateful for the help. Steam discussions are great, and/or head over to our discord: discord.gg/5KHYmWxNrF Thanks for reading! Corey

I’m happy to say that our ‘Wordle x Balatro with cute birds’ game Birdigo is officially out in the world!!!!
🐦❤️
Here’s the launch trailer:
Assemble letter cards into words, which add up into ‘flaps’ to send you further along your journey. Use enchanted feathers and songs to change the rules of the game as you build your score. Go for broke with wild strategies and crazy combos, generate mega-high scores, and guide your flock to safety!
Birdigo was created and designed by John August, screenwriter behind numerous excellent movies including Charlie’s Angels and Corpse Bride, and developed by indie dev Corey Martin, creator of Bonfire Peaks.
Thanks so much for the support on Birdigo – we love this game and we hope you enjoy it too!
Best,
John and Corey
Birdigo (bird word game) is coming July 30th 2025!
Wishlist now! 🦜🦜🦜
Birdigo was created and designed by John August (Big Fish, Corpse Bride) and developed by Corey Martin (Bonfire Peaks, Tire Boy). The two met after John put out a call for a game dev collaborator on his screenwriting podcast Scriptnotes.
John wanted to adapt his physical word game AlphaBirds into a Slay the Spire/Balatro-like single player experience. Corey got in touch and, in spite of having played neither Slay the Spire nor Balatro, convinced John he was the person for the job.
The resulting game, Birdigo, is super fun. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks for reading and, again, wishlist today!
