New version is out! v0.4.2 has arrived with a major engine migration and a complete audio overhaul. Check out the full patch notes below:
Engine & Performance: Migrated to Unity 6.3 for significantly improved stability and performance. Added support for MOZA and SiMagic peripherals.
Audio Overhaul: Added realistic surface-dependent driving sounds, car scraping audio, and NPC interaction sounds including honking and crashes.
New Content: Added a roundabout and a high-fidelity car paint shader.
UI & Navigation: Redesigned the Start Position system with new icons and improved tab navigation with dynamic button prompts for controllers.
Improved Driving Logic: Implemented a 2-second grace period for speeding penalties to prevent unfair violations.
Accessibility: Added comprehensive on-screen input guides for better onboarding.
Session Management: New customizable session timeout settings with warning thresholds and auto-exit.
Reliability: Added offline and backup telemetry support to ensure your driving data is never lost.
Quality of Life: Added a "Quit to Desktop" button to the in-game menu.
Fixed "white texture" bug on city sidewalks.
Fixed missing NPC audio in standalone builds.
Fixed the missing material on the window frame.
Resolved issue where the mouse would get stuck on sliders when using a wheel/gamepad.
Fixed Camera Position settings not loading correctly in builds.
Keyboard input is still very floaty. New car physics is still in polish mode but will hopefully be added next version.
Pedestrians tend to get stuck, especially on sidewalks.
Pedestrians tend to spawn with same models in clusters.
Traffic insists on overtaking on the right side, going offroad instead of using the road.
Camera position isn't ideal for tight spaces.
Performance is still low (getting a big improvement to this next version).
New versions is out! v0.4.1 have the following patch notes:
Fixed out-of-sync traffic lights.
Fixed pedestrian crossing signals.
Added extra traffic lights on opposite side of crossroads.
Added setting for reset on crash and rollback time.
Settings menu overhaul.
Added accessibility settings for motion sickness.
Fixed certain in-game settings missing when in the main menu.
Fixed rebinding not working.
Fixed UI navigation not working with gamepad.
Engine can now be started by holding break instead of gas.
Added awards or penalties based on driving behaviours:
Award for driving without traffic violation.
Award for holding speed discipline.
Penalty for traffic violation (speeding or collision).
We have had a few questions about why we don't have a Discord server where you can chat to us and each other about Biltur Simulator, so we decided to set one up!
So join now and you can discuss the simulator and even chat directly with the devs. Just keep in mind that the devs also need to keep working on new features, fixing issues, and such so we must ask for your patience on that front.
