Hello Investigators, We are rolling out minor patch v1.04.3. This update brings comprehensive improvements across the board, focusing on performance optimization, gameplay experience, startup flow, FPS boosts, and broader hardware compatibility!

【🚀 Performance & Rendering Optimizations】

• FPS Boost: We’ve slightly rewritten the rendering backend, boosting overall framerates by approximately 10 FPS!

• Clarity & Noise Reduction: Adjusted the denoising algorithm to slightly increase both FPS and visual clarity.

• Low-End PC & Steam Deck Friendly: Rewrote the algorithm for Graphics Quality transitions (Low/Med/High). Low settings are now much better optimized for lower-end PCs, while High settings display sharper details. With custom rendering disabled on Low settings, the game now runs smoothly on the Steam Deck!

• Custom Framerates: Added support for custom framerates and framerate locking (defaults to 90 FPS). You can now adjust this freely in the settings.

• AI Frame Generation: Added rendering support for Lossless Scaling to give you an even smoother experience.

【💾 Storage & Loading Experience】

• Extreme Space Compression: Our resource compression algorithm has been completely overhauled! The total disk space required for the game has been drastically reduced from 41 GB down to just 18 GB!

• Seamless Startup: Revamped the initial startup loading experience to an asynchronous flow, permanently fixing the first-frame freeze and black screen issues.

• Smoother Open World: Slightly adjusted the culling and loading algorithms for the Open World, significantly improving FPS during free exploration.

• Loading Screen Tips: Added helpful tips to the loading screens so easy-to-miss tricks are now clear at a glance.

【⚔️ Combat & Gameplay Enhancements】

• Dynamic Difficulty: Open World dynamic difficulty is now active! The difficulty will scale dynamically with your character's level and days survived. Consequently, loot drop rates will also increase significantly as you level up!

• Shooting Efficiency: Optimized shooting trajectories and bullet entities. Trajectories, smoke, and entity object pools have been restructured to consume less memory and compute faster. (Note: We are aware of a known issue regarding occasional trajectory lingering and are urgently fixing it).

• Auto-Reload: Added a Quality of Life (QoL) Auto-Reload feature. Your character will now automatically reload when the weapon's magazine runs empty.

• Pet Buffs: Improved the stat growth scaling for pets. Your little companions will now perform much better in combat.

• Various minor details and bug fixes. Please check in-game for more information.

Hello Investigators, Minor patch v1.04.2 is here. In this update, we have implemented massive under-the-hood reworks to our gunplay mechanics and introduced several highly requested combat features to improve the overall flow of battle.

【Core System Reworks】

• ⚙️ Shooting Logic: Completely reworked the underlying logic for the shooting module and various firearms.

• ⚙️ Recoil Overhaul: Reworked the underlying algorithms and visual representation of weapon recoil.

• ⚙️ Animation Logic: Reworked holstering and drawing animations and their corresponding triggered events.

【Handling & Feel Adjustments】

• 🎯 Gunplay Feel: Adjusted and improved the shooting feel for specific weapons (e.g., AWM sniper rifle).

• 🎯 Holster/Draw Fluidity: Smoothed out the handling and transition speed when drawing and holstering weapons.

• 🎯 Aiming Transition: Optimized the transition feel and responsiveness when Aiming Down Sights (ADS).

【New Combat Mechanics】

• 🔫 Hip-fire / Quick Fire: Added a new hip-fire function. While holding a weapon, clicking the Left Mouse Button (LMB) will now automatically raise the weapon, aim, and fire.

• 👊 Quick Melee Combo: While unarmed (weapon holstered), clicking LMB will now automatically trigger a fluid melee combo attack.

• 👁️ ADS Mode Optimization: Aiming Down Sights now supports both input types. Whether you "Click/Toggle" or "Hold" the Right Mouse Button (RMB), you will enter ADS mode. Clicking RMB while aiming will immediately cancel the stance.

【New Content】

• 🧨 New Anomaly: New Year Firecracker

  • Effect: When equipped, any Critical Hit Rate exceeding 100% will be converted into Critical Damage (Every 1% excess Crit Rate grants +2% Crit Damage).

  • Drop Source: Obtainable from the Limited-Time Dungeon \.

【Optimizations & Fixes】

• Various minor optimizations have been applied. For example, we fixed an issue where Investigator levels above 7 Stars would cause excessive/spammy floating text to pop up upon hitting enemies. Please check in-game for more details.

• 【Developer Note: Regarding First-Person Aiming】 Additionally, to ensure the best possible shooting feel and fluid third-person operability, we have temporarily disabled the First-Person Aiming feature. We understand this may cause inconvenience for players who prefer a first-person shooting experience, and we apologize for this. If we receive enough feedback and requests from the community, we will definitely add an option to toggle First-Person Aiming back into the settings menu in a future update.

Hello Investigators, Minor patch v1.04.1 is now rolling out. This update focuses on Quality of Life (QoL) improvements, Open World vehicle handling, and resolving several bugs.

• ⚙️ Dynamic Language Switching: Rewrote the underlying code for language settings. Changing languages is now instantaneous and no longer requires a game restart to take effect.

• 🎒 Smart Quick-Sell: Improved the inventory selling system. Using the "Quick Sell Blue/Purple Items" function will now automatically exclude common crafting materials, preventing accidental loss of valuable resources.

• 💥 Vehicle Collision Damage: Open World vehicles now deal actual physical damage when running over enemies.

• 🎯 Reload Fluidity: Improved the transition animation after reloading Assault Rifles and Sniper Rifles, eliminating the slight input delay ("clunky" feeling) at the end of the reload sequence.

1. Fixed the issue of a white screen upon initial loading. 2. Fixed the stuttering issue in the introductory chapter.

In the settings interface, there is an option to select the rendering pipeline, which is enabled by default. When enabled, the fully automated rendering pipeline SRP written by Huahua is used, resulting in maximum effect.

Uncheck the box and set the status to use the Unity default rendering pipeline HDRP to improve frame rate.

6. Major update: Intelligent dynamic shader compilation. It will automatically pre-determine the dynamic compilation of shaders based on your behavior, in order to improve loading speed and frame rate.

7. Several minor bug fixes.

1. Changes to the memory usage optimization algorithm, resulting in lower memory consumption during gameplay.

2. Optimization of the GPU Instance CombineMesh feature: calculations are performed in batches within a single frame sequence, preventing issues related to high memory usage in certain situations and on specific devices.

3. Resolution adaptation: The system is now fully compatible with a wide range of screen types – from square screens to mainstream resolutions, as well as wide-screen displays and multiple-screen setups.

4. Fixing issues related to lag when navigating stairs in the game.

5. Addressing problems caused by inconsistent disk rotation speeds, especially in cases involving non-solid-state drives, which could lead to game crashes or lag.

Before this release,

several new high-quality skins have been added.

These skins perfectly reproduce the feel of stockings,

including their fine texture and the distinct texture of the stockings’ material.
