Hi all,
Opinion needed: Back in the day when BH first came out, a player changed all the asteroids to cats by editing the sprite sheet (Very funny!). As I was protective of my work back then, I made this impossible by encrypting the data. It crossed my mind that I could undo this and allow players to change the look of the game by editing the png sprite sheet image. Below is the BH1 sprite sheet. (Blurred)
TLDR:
Who's in favour of enabling sprite sheet modding in BH1? Cheers,
Steve.
Hi all,
Just getting a few things ready for the music update next week. Plus a small ad for the PS version.
Cheers,
Steve.
Hi all,
On September 24th I'll be updating all versions of Beat Hazard to include some great new tracks.
First we have 5 amazing chip-tune tracks from Shirobon
I've also been working with Future Funk Squad who have worked with Nine Inch Nails, Sia and U2. They have made an exclusive track for Beat Hazard, and I'm really excited for everyone to play it. I'm so privileged to be able to work with a top flight artist!
On Sept 24th, Beat Hazard returns to PlayStation. Details here
I'm gaging interest on a Steam release of Beat Hazard Arcade. It would have full VR support, and be a streamlined Arcade Beat Hazard experience. It would have some new weapons and enemies, and focus on community leaderboards. I'm interested to hear some feedback.
Happy Hazarding!
Cheers,
Steve.

But that's not all, on release day I'm going to add new music to the Steam versions of Beat Hazard 1, 2 and 3!
This will include five kick-ass Chip Tune tracks from 'Shirobon' and an exclusive track from Future Funk Squad, this guy is amazing and has worked with NiN, Sia, U2 to name a few, I'm really privileged to work with such a high profile artist.
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Steve Ps. Let me know if you're interested in Beat Hazard Arcade coming to Steam (Would have VR support, more weapons, enemies and a focus on competitive leaderboards)
