Broadcast for the QC Games Celebration 2026.
To kick off the year, we thought it'd be fun to share some of Battle Shapers' concept art through the Steam Collectibles features, which feature trading cards, badges, emoticons, and backgrounds.
We had come up with many different iterations of Ada's suits, various enemies & Overlords, and entire biomes; some were super close to making into the game, while some others.. well, let's just not talk about the centipede with tentacles.
Anyway, this batch of Trading Cards showcases our early environment concepts including the elevator shaft between levels, the Hyperloop Station just outside the Hideout, and an aquaponics station we originally wanted in the Gravity Garden, among others.
Here's a preview of all 10 Trading Cards. You'll be able to access them through the Battle Shapers game page in your Steam Library.
And here's a preview of all 6 badges, with the Omega foil badge featured in the center. The first badge is the Ada badge, followed by Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and finally Omega. This naming reflects Battle Shapers' end game Phantom Code difficulty system.
And because we could only make so many cards, here's a few more miscellaneous concepts to discover:
Check out these beautifully detailed environments we made early on! You'll recognize some of these rooms from the game, whereas others served as references.
We imagined a scenario in which various features in the Towers could be corrupted, including this majestic tree in the Gravity Garden.
We've teased a few of these before, but here's a lineup of fully geared Ada's! We ended up going with a lighter Adamant Suit but a heavier-duty fist.
Does Ada have hair? 🤔
What was originally a single-barrel grenade launcher quickly became the three-barreled wonder you know as the Firestarter. More is more, always.
Shapers, meet the Mad Droner - the Madvatter's distant cousin. He's all buzziness and no play.
Huck was always a shopkeep, but we knew him as M1K3 before Hauly was introduced. M1K3 did not care for shoplifters.
Where do Hauly's shop items go when..? 🤷
We never gave Meemo a coffee shop, but we did make a custom limited blend for our studio! Once you get past the smell of jet fuel, it tastes a bit chocolatey and nutty. Not bad, really.
Our team's back and tirelessly tinkering away, so you'll hear from us again soon.
Happy collecting,
Metric Empire

Meet Your Maker is a single-player & co-op shooter in which you play as a Custodian and are tasked with raiding other real players' Outposts to steal their precious resources. In doing so, you gather materials to build deathtraps reinforcing your own Outpost. It's a nuanced game with devilish base building and trap-setting, interesting weapon combinations, and satisfying gameplay.
In sync with this partnership, Battle Shapers is on sale for 50% off until December 18th in celebration of our 1-year anniversary! 🥳

Early this morning, Unity informed its users of a security vulnerability that affects games built on Unity versions 2017.1 and later. They assured its users that “there is no evidence of any exploitation of the vulnerability nor has there been any impact on users or customers".
They released a patch for it and we have immediately applied it to the game.
You can find their official statement here: https://discussions.unity.com/t/unity-platform-protection-take-immediate-action-to-protect-your-games-and-apps/1688031

We've got a medium-sized update for you today featuring Guardian Mode, in-game balancing, changelogs, and a few community requests & bug fixes. If you're free this Friday, we've also got another Shapers vs. \ Showdown with prizes to be won.
Let's get into it.
By popular demand, Guardian Mode is a difficulty toggle designed to help players access the true ending of the game after defeating VerOs. This toggle option is located under the Gameplay Tab in the game's options menu. When enabled, players will receive incremental damage reduction starting from regular runs to Phantom Code difficulty levels. The approximate breakdown is as follows:
Baseline: 20% damage reduction
Alpha: 20% damage reduction
Beta: 30% damage reduction
Gamma: 40% damage reduction
Delta: 60% damage reduction
Omega: 60% damage reduction
We've also introduced balances based on player feedback to reduce run duration and enemy health, along with a few others adjustments.
Reduced base health of all enemies by about 10%
Reduced grunt and grunt variants health scaling by 5%
Reduced quantity of grunts and variants spawning during combat encounters from 6 to 3
Increased duration between Strike Mantis' successive dash attacks in tower 3 encounters
Reduced quantity of missiles fired from 4 to 3 when fighting Strike Mantis in tower 2 or 3 encounters
Reduced missile speed by 20% when fighting Strike Mantis in tower 2 or 3 encounters
Reduced travel speed of Wind Magistrate's tornadoes by about 15%
Increased radius of the Volt Aura perk
The Daily Challenge's points scoring will now only reward players for retaining up to the 200 HP maximum. Under this change, players with 400 HP and 200 HP at the end of their run are both rewarded the same 400 points.
Daily Challenge - Capped max health points to the base max
Daily Challenge - Leaderboards now default to Global view
Fixed persisting enemies & enemy effects when Overlord retaliation triggered during combat ending sequence
Fixed Puzzle Switch chest in Robotics Factory that remained locked after completing the switch challenge
Fixed connectivity bug preventing players from launching and playing the game offline
Fixed Robotics Hub trophy not appearing after all ciphers were discovered and decoded
Fixed Golden Ada trophy not appearing after defeating VerOS with all Phantom Code Fragments enabled, despite some players receiving corresponding achievement
Fixed Volt Colossus trophy that always loaded in gold by default
Fixed VFX bug in which the VFX for new trophies persisted after initial interaction
Fixed 'Quad Conquerer' achievement not being awarded when criteria was met
🔗Event Link 📅 Date: May 16 🎁 Battle Shapers Game Key + Goodies 🏆 Custom Discord Role + Bragging Rights In the last showdown on April 25th, \ Devs narrowly defeated the Shaper community with a top score of 1568, with only 12 points over InkAssassn's score! They say third time's the charm and we can feel it in our bones - our reign is nearing its end. As always, whoever holds the #1 position at the end of the day will be rewarded a Battle Shapers Key and sent a Battle Shapers package in the mail. We'll also award you the coveted "Top Daily Runner" role on our community Discord; an exclusive golden speed token fit for royalty.
And that's it for now! See you around, Metric Empire
ALL score marked enemies become exposed during takedowns.
A few players have asked for more predictable scoring when it comes to enemy takedowns. This new change means all score marked enemies (⭐) will go into exposed state when they die, making it both easier and faster to maximize combat scores. By eliminating a layer of luck or chance, this will better reward player awareness and decision-making.
Carpe Diem: Earn a total of 3000 points in Daily Challenges.
What's the point if there isn't something shiny to show for your success, am I right?
While details will always vary between unique Daily Challenges, here's the general advice from our top-scoring \ developers:
Get your health as high as possible for the end of the run. Perks that grant more max HP also grant more points (as long as you don't lose it 😏 )
Take down starred enemies. Marked enemies will enter an exposed state and you will score additional combat points if you manage to kill an enemy with a punch. Be careful not to let your ricocheting bullets or pulsing grenade effects accidentally kill your exposed enemies before you land that punch!
Replay the daily challenge. Having a good synergy within your build is key to getting a high score. Replay the challenge and reroll your choices to see all your options and figure out your best course of action.
Complete optional challenges. Optional challenges give you a lot of points and equipment that could be the deciding factor of a run.
🔗Event Link 📅 Date: April 25 🎁 Battle Shapers Game Key + Stickers 🏆 Custom Discord Role + Bragging Rights Last Friday April 11, our \ Devs triumphed against our Shaper community with a top score of 1492! We'll also award you the coveted "Top Daily Runner" role on our community Discord; an exclusive golden speed token fit for royalty. Alright, that's all for now. Thank you, Forrest at Metric Empire
