Several improvements have been made to the online multiplayer mode, but most notably there is an improvement to the faster versions of the game (Barro F/F22/F25). With this update, the driveability for the client should be much closer to that of the host, making the competition fairer. New Online Multiplayer Mode

Barro now has an online multiplayer mode! But keep in mind that this is an initial version, still under development and lightly tested. Bugs might pop up along the way, so we appreciate your patience as we work on improving it.

Play with your friends

You can now invite your friends on Steam to play together! Just make sure the game is open when sending the invite for it to work properly.

Starting grid based on the leaderboard

In multiplayer mode, the starting grid will be ordered based on the leaderboard times. Show off your skills and secure a good starting position!

Few players online

Since the mode is new, you might find only a few people playing online. So, it’s a good idea to invite your friends to have a better experience!

Issues and possible solutions

As this is an alpha version, problems may occur. If an error prevents the game from continuing, restart it and try again. If the host leaves the match, the game will end for all players. Make sure the host stays until the match is over. The function to ban players from a match is not available yet. For now, we recommend that only the host uses the pause function to avoid any issues.

Help us with the testing

We haven’t tested the game with more than two devices, as we only have two available for testing. Your participation will be crucial in improving this experience. We count on the community to help us with these tests!

Keeping the games updated

As you already know, I always try to keep all the games in the series updated, including the older ones. This update is for maintenance and to make sure all the improvements are available for all games. *Sorry for updating and posting all the update announcements at the same time, Steam doesn't keep track of updates unless there is an announcement about it.

Changes to the leaderboard

This update will change the leaderboard server and the way the game saves/loads data, because maintaining the old server has become too expensive. The new version will fix some bugs and add some improvements for all games in the Barro series. Unfortunately, the old times will not be transferred to the new server due to the modifications that were made, also because of a bug that I ended up finding that allowed better times to be achieved on some occasions. For these reasons, all leaderboards have been reset. Sorry.

In this new version of the Barro series you get a new plugin to handle inputs. (It's the same plugin that runs in games like The Long Dark.) This will give you more options for configuring the inputs and will also make it possible to choose which controller the player wants to play with. (Before the controller defined the player) I'm still integrating the plugin into the game and improvements are yet to be made, as well as a more appropriate translation for the game. *If you notice something wrong with the new update, please use the game's forum to report it, thanks.

The Barro series will be updated to a new version (V.13). In this new version we will have a new UI and a new version of the leaderboard.
