The new Backyard Baseball doesn't officially drop until July 9th, but you won't have to wait until then to experience the action. Today we're launching a free-to-play demo and we think you're going to love it. Welcome to Backyard Derby, a fun & fast-paced new game mode coming to Backyard Baseball this summer. Smash home runs under the sun (or the stars!) at Steele Stadium in this arcade-style home run challenge. Compete as Pablo, Kiesha or Kenny to climb our global leaderboard for the highest scores, the longest long balls, and the most home runs. Featuring classic & crazy pitch mode, this demo has something for everyone -- from the newest newbies to our longtime OGs. We can't wait for you to experience the full game this summer. Hello, Sports Fans! We're thrilled to share that on Thursday, November 13th two new Backyard games will be available FOR FREE. You heard right. We're dropping Backyard Basketball '01 & Backyard Hockey '02 on Steam free to play. No ads, no micro transactions, just pure, unfiltered fun.

Calling all Backyard fans - Backyard Football '99 is back! The game officially launched today on Steam, iOS and Android, bringing back yet another classic sport to the backyard. Lace up those cleats, put your game face on, and get ready to draft your team from the 30 iconic Backyard Sports characters as well as a collection of legendary pros including Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, John Elway, Dan Marino, Randall Cunningham, Drew Bledsoe and Steve Young. Earn power-ups by completing passes on offense and sacking the opposing QB on defense:
Offensive Power-Ups
Hocus Pocus – A pass play which results in a receiver teleporting down field.
Sonic Boom – A run play which causes an earthquake to knock over the opposing team.
Leap Frog – A run play which causes your running back to leap down field.
Super Punt – A very powerful punt!
Defensive Power-Ups
Cough Drop – A play that causes the opponent to fumble when tackled.
Chameleon – A trick play that results in your team wearing the other team's colors for ultimate confusion.
Spring Loaded – A play that causes your player to leap over the line of scrimmage to sack the QB.

Hi-ho Baseball Fans! Patch 1.0.8 has arrived and is jam packed with improvements we've made since launch. Here's the breakdown of all the improvements to the game:
Fixed the Out of Array pointers crash
Fixed instances of stats corruption after playing multiple games
Fixed the crash that occurs when relaunching a save in the middle of an extra inning
Fixed the issue where options are not being retained in the sound settings when relaunching the game
Fixed a UI visual glitch in batting practice that occurs on the third strike.
Fixed a visual bug in the Hall of Fame screen that's displaying the incorrect team color.
Fixed the visual bug in the statistics page that was showing unreliable data.
Realigned the #5 to other characters used when creating a new coach.
Fixed the visual bug where the field that’s being selected in batting practice isn’t consistent with the one being presented in-game.
Adjusted the background sound to restart in the appropriate screens

Your Day 1 Patch notes compilation has finally arrived, and we're here to give you a breakdown of all the little improvements we made to the game today.
Patches 1.0.0-1.0.3 include the following fixes:
Fixed an issue where the Expand Screen function was force-disabled on launch
Addressed a legacy DirectX check issue that causes periodic device-specific crashes
Update to the intro cinematic
Fixed memory management issues causing heap exhaustion
Restoring this game to its former glory can be a bumpy process, but we're committed to making your experience the best it can be and really appreciate your help and feedback along the way.
