Clicking into games that run as administrator
- The Steam and free versions now ask for administrator permission when starting. Accepting the prompt lets Auto Clicker click into games and apps that run as administrator, previously those clicks were silently ignored by Windows, making the clicker appear to run while doing nothing. Declining the prompt starts the app normally, exactly as before.
- Fixed the export window failing to open when the app runs as administrator.
Performance
- Recordings are now stored in separate files and loaded only when used. Large recording libraries no longer slow down saving or startup.
- Custom blocks are also stored in separate files.
- Starting the app no longer freezes the window or the mouse.
- Closing the app no longer causes a brief system slowdown.
- Exporting, importing, copying blocks, and mass edit now run in the background with a loading indicator instead of freezing the app.
- Various other performance improvements throughout the app.
Stability
- Keys and mouse buttons held by a recording or hold-mode click are now released when the clicker stops, instead of staying pressed.
- Fixed the interval random offset producing values outside the configured range.
- Fixed certain special keys (arrows, navigation keys) not replaying correctly.
- If a profile file on disk is unreadable, it is now backed up instead of overwritten, so the data can be recovered.
- Errors are now recorded in the log.
- Added safeguards in various areas of the app.
Interface
- Added a warning when the standard mode interval is set to 0 or below 5 ms, explaining that some games and apps can't process clicks that fast and will freeze.
- Added tooltips explaining the Move Cursor options.
- The mode tabs and the bottom switch button are now linked: switching one updates the other, and the switch button is disabled while the clicker is running.
- The app now opens on the mode you last used instead of always opening on Standard.
- The app now minimizes more reliably while capturing the screen (location picking, image capture).
