Hello Builders,
Version 0.12 is now live!
This update marks another major content milestone since Astrobuilder entered Early Access. Players can now choose an all-new Military career path, join a Military Faction, take part in planetary governance, and lead fleets into interstellar conquest.
Alongside this, the new Destiny Orbits system is now available — recording the wars, alliances, betrayals, and acts of revenge between characters, and letting those events continue to shape their relationships and behavior going forward.
This version also introduces an Immersive Chat Mode, along with expanded map, prophecy, and system parameter editing tools for the Mod Editor.
We also owe you an apology. Due to our own inexperience and having overestimated our development speed (it hurts to admit), the Chapter 2 story content originally planned for this release has been delayed to August 7th. We know this isn't what you were hoping for, and we're truly sorry for the disappointment.
Below are the full details of what you can experience in the game after this update:
● Military Identity and Military Storyline Unlocked
Players can now join a Military Faction and begin a new career path as a soldier. By completing military missions, building Influence, and taking part in faction affairs, players will gradually gain access to personnel transfers, resource management, planetary governance, and military decision-making, unlocking higher ranks, permissions, and career skills along the way.
● New Military Control Desk
Players can now take part in the daily operations of a Military Faction through the Military Control Desk, including:
(1) Energy Development
(2) Commercial Development
(3) Security Maintenance
(4) Military Resource Transport
(5) Personnel Transfers and Position Management
A Military Faction is no longer just a marker on the map. It is now an organization that requires ongoing management, decision-making, and active governance.
● Expanded Faction Governance and Power Dynamics
Added and improved content for positions such as Governor and Consul. Players can take part in appointments, personnel adjustments, and faction management, and shift their standing within a Military Faction through Influence. Alliances, contracts, and rebellions will further affect character relationships and the balance of power across the galaxy.
● Lead Fleets into Interstellar Battles
Players can now assemble fleets and take part in interstellar conquest through tactical, turn-based combat. Different ship types act as independent combat units on the battlefield, and players must deploy and command based on fleet attributes, unit roles, and the overall battlefield situation.
● New Military Career Skills
The Military career now has its own independent skill and progression system. As rank and ability grow, players will unlock new fleet commands, military abilities, and tactical options — carrying their career progression directly onto the battlefield.
● Improved Combat Info and Battle Reports
Added ship type portraits, unit details, conquest attribute descriptions, skill lists, and unlock prompts. After combat ends, Battle Reports now record the fleets involved, damage dealt, and the outcome, giving players a clearer picture of every engagement.
● Tracking a Character's Long-Term Fate
The new Destiny Orbits system is here. Major events in a character's life are now recorded as interconnected Destiny Nodes. Experiences such as war, alliance, betrayal, and revenge can all reshape a character's future relationships, goals, and behavior.
● Major Events Become Character Memories
When a significant event occurs, the characters involved will gain a corresponding memory. These memories continue to shape how characters treat one another and the choices they make — so NPCs no longer just react to what's happening now, but remember everything that came before.
● Destiny-Driven Behavior
Destiny Orbits can generate new goals for a character and, under the right conditions, drive them to act. A character might seek revenge over an old conflict, or form new relationships and alliances shaped by what they've been through together.
● New Pure Mode for Long Conversations
A new, more focused long-conversation interface is now available. Players can enjoy longer, more continuous conversations with NPCs with fewer distractions from other UI elements, making chat interactions feel more immersive.
● Improved Dialogue Logs and Topic Difficulty
Chat history now distinguishes between the current topic and content from other topics, making it easier to review different stages of a conversation. Difficulty settings have also been added to select chat topics, alongside further improvements to the long-conversation interface and multi-language display.
● New Map Editing Tools
The Mod Editor now supports map editing, allowing adjustments to certain star maps and constellations, along with expanded configuration options for custom planets and planet scene templates.
● Expanded Prophecy and System Rule Editing
New editing tools for prophecies and system parameters have been added. Prophecy themes now support card pack import and export, giving creators deeper control over world-building, rules, and event configuration.
● Improved Mod Compatibility
Improved mod compatibility across planets, character behavior, and military gameplay, with continued refinements to configuration references, AI naming, and editor stability.
(1) Expanded the generation and feedback mechanisms for both Incidents and minor events, enriching what happens across the galaxy.
(2) Added shared character memories, internal affairs memories, and faction diplomacy memories, allowing events to affect a wider range of characters.
(3) Added a Rumor system, letting characters learn about major events happening in other regions and factions.
(4) Improved the personnel intel interface, now displaying different information and layouts depending on a character's career.
(5) Improved NPC self-driven behavior and related command execution logic.
(1) Added save management features, including save folder migration, disk space detection, and adjustable save slot counts.
(2) Fixed various issues with battle report statistics, personnel housing sync, position changes, character memory, and interface display.
(3) Fixed various issues with quest configuration, numeric overflow, text display, and multi-language support.
(4) Improved system stability, performance overhead, and various underlying logic.
Version 0.12 doesn't just bring new combat gameplay. It further expands the possibilities of character identity, faction governance, and dynamic storytelling. Start as a soldier, earn your merit on the battlefield, make your choices within the halls of power, and watch as every decision you make ripples along the Destiny Orbits, shaping both individual characters and the galaxy itself.
Thank you, as always, for your continued feedback and support. We will continue to pay close attention to your feedback on the Military identity, Interstellar Conquest, Destiny Orbits, Immersive Chat, and MOD creation experience as we continue developing the next version.

Added relationship customization. Players can now add custom descriptions to established relationships, further enriching how different relationships are expressed and affect gameplay interactions.
(1) Added a custom difficulty entry to Free Mode. (2) Players can now adjust multiple rules, including spaceship bonuses and trade goods buying/selling prices, allowing greater freedom in deciding the pace and difficulty of each playthrough.

Hello everyone,
We would like to give a quick update regarding the English version of our game.
At the moment, the quality of our game’s English version hasn’t yet met our expectations due to the large amount of dialogue, dynamic interactions of AI NPCs, and other texts. The current English version is still incomplete and contains various problems, including awkward translations, missing texts, and inconsistent terminologies. Instead of rushing a poorly polished version, we choose to improve localization after launch. We understand that this may disappoint players who prefer to play in English, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Our team is already working on the localization process, and we will continue improving the translation quality of UI, tutorials, and overall readability in future updates.
Thank you for your patience, feedback, and support. It truly helps us improve the game.
