Hello, friends.
Thank you for playing Arcane Tower Survivors. Your support has been invaluable to us. Since the next update is still a few weeks away, we wanted to share a look at what is happening behind the scenes and what you can expect going forward.
This is a future update that will be available when it's done.
Here is what we are currently planning for the next major update.
Performance is one of our top priorities. We are aware of FPS drops after longer sessions, especially once enemy count and density increase. To address this, we have significantly reworked the physics system to make it far more efficient.
Early results are very promising. We expect performance improvements of at least 30 to 50 percent across all devices, with even larger gains in some scenarios.
This update introduces a brand-new itemization system.
Each character will have equipment slots for items they can wear. Monsters and bosses will drop items of varying quality: common, uncommon, rare, and unique. Some items will feature unique effects that can significantly change how you play.
Our goal is to add more build variety, progression, and long-term depth to every run.
Cloud saves will return in this update. We had to temporarily remove them before release due to save instability, but those issues have now been resolved.
New zone featuring a new boss, new monsters and new missions
Torment 4 and Torment 5 will be added, offering fresh challenges for experienced players.
Looking a bit further ahead, here is what we are actively working on.
We plan to introduce shorter game modes designed for faster sessions. These will allow you to farm gear more efficiently and get your survivors-style gameplay fix without committing to 20 minutes or more per run.
In addition to the features above, we are also continuously working on:
New achievements
Additional missions
More items
A new character
Bug fixes
Further performance improvements
Thank you again for your continued support. We are excited about what is coming next and look forward to sharing more details as development progresses.
