Angel Essence news & patch notes

hi all! got a new update ready. this one adds several control options that have been requested, as well as cloud saves. Changes

• Added "Run By Default" option to Settings menu. This basically inverts the Run button, so Angelique will always be running, and will only slow to her normal walking speed when the Run button is held.

• Added the ability to rebind Wallrun, independent from the Run button. This means Wallrun and Run can be on two separate buttons, and are no longer linked.

• Cloud saves added.

Small changes/fixes

• Giant Orb Crystals would sometimes respawn on level entry, even when they'd previously been destroyed.

• Infinite death loops were possible on entry to some levels.

• Closed a hole leading to an out of bounds area in Luminous Cave.

• Added a lantern to an area of Luminous Cave where a softlock was possible early in the game.
• Fixed an issue where falling into the miasma during the final boss fight respawned you outside of the gates.
• Removed a weird miasma hitbox in a room in Sinking Floe.
• Restored movement to the first line of disappearing gravity nodes in the final level.
• Removed a weird piece of invisible level geometry in Old Township.
• Made several decorative windows in Old Township impassable.
• Fixed infinite pickup of a certain Essence collectable.
• Added miasma to the top of Wind Valley's roof to make failing a certain jump less punishing.
• Other small texturing/geometry tweaks.

• Fixed a bug where plummet state would stay active after landing on certain angled slopes.
• Stopped Angelique's movement on pickup of collectables to prevent unwanted falls.
• Added 4K resolution option in Settings menu.
• Added a live Essence counter in the bottom right of the screen. This makes it more clear how much Essence you gain, AND how much Essence you lose when being attacked. This counter is on by default, but can be toggled off in the Settings Menu.

hi all! just a quick hotfix, taking care of a few bugs that were reported.

• Fixed a softlock when moving away from NPCs while initiating a conversation.

• Fixed a softlock when opening the menu during a warp to Central Nest.

• Added an Ability Manual to the Settings screen, with instructions on how to perform special abilities such as the Super Sprint.

• Added a failsafe for getting stuck in Gravesite Passage before proceeding to Central Nest.

• Minor volume adjustments.

• Other minor level geometry tweaks.
