Hi everyone!
Update v1.1.0 is here! This update introduces Steam Lobby support, along with a few gameplay improvements and balance adjustments.
I've added Steam Lobby support, making it much easier to invite your friends using Steam's interface. You can still join games using room codes as before, but now you also have a much more convenient option.
I've also added a new Invite button to online lobbies, so you can send Steam invitations directly without leaving the game.
I've made a few gameplay adjustments to improve the overall experience:
The egg is now more stable while at maximum health, reducing unnecessary movement.
Strong, high-speed impacts will have less effect on the egg when it's at full health, making the beginning of each run feel more consistent.
Adjusted the difficulty of several challenges in The City and The Village to create a smoother progression.
Updated several Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Turkish translations to improve accuracy and consistency.
Thank you so much for playing my game! and for all the feedback you've shared so far. It really helps me continue improving the game.
If you're enjoying the game and would like to support its development, please consider leaving a Steam review. It makes a huge difference and helps more people discover the game.
See you in the next update!
Fixed a bug that prevented the egg from cracking when its health was low.
Fixed a bug that caused Demolition Balls to render incorrectly in some matches.
Made some adjustments to the final Winter Challenge.
Breakable platforms in Winter Fixed: Resolved an issue where breakable platforms in the Winter zone were rendering incorrectly for client players.
Region Connection Fix & Tip: We noticed an issue affecting players in Russia connecting to the Europe region. While we work on a fix, we recommend switching your region to USA or another region to play without issues. We have also updated the error message to clarify this when it happens.
The day has finally come!
After almost a year of development, An Eggstremely Hard Game is officially available on Steam.
Grab a friend, become highly qualified goose parents, and work together to bring your little egg home safely. Just remember: every crack makes your job a little harder!
The full release comes with plenty of new content and features:
• 4 New Biomes — Each with its own platforms, mechanics, and challenges.
• 4-Player Mode — Parenting is hard with two geese, so why not make it four?
• Character Customization — Customize your goose and make it truly yours.
• New Save System — Keep track of your progress throughout your journey.
• 3 Difficulty Modes — Choose between Easy, Normal, and Impossible.
• Collectibles — Find hidden collectibles scattered throughout the world.
Thank you so much to everyone who has followed and supported the game throughout development. It has been an incredible journey, and I can't wait to finally see you all playing!
To celebrate the launch, the game is 10% off for the next two weeks!
If you enjoy the game, leaving a Steam review would also help me a lot as a solo developer. ❤️
Good luck and HONK!
Hi everyone,
The Champion Geese Demo Competition has officially come to an end!
First of all, thank you to everyone who participated. We had an incredible response, with more than 55,000 players successfully completing the demo. That's absolutely amazing!
Shizuku Time Score: 01:23
Shizuku & Migona Time Score: 01:26
As a reward, the winners will have a permanent goose statue featuring their names and record time placed in the final game's map. They will also receive a free Steam key for the full release.
The leaderboard will remain active, so you can still compete for a spot and improve your time. However, any new records set from now on will not count toward the competition.
Once again, thank you to everyone who played the demo, competed, and supported the game throughout this event. Your enthusiasm and feedback have meant a lot.
See you at launch on July 24th!

Hi,
I'm updating a new patch with little changes.
I noticed that people didn't notice the first sign of the tutorial, the one with the camera control, so some people do not know that they can rotate the camera during the full session.
So I changed the position of this sign so everyone can read it properly at the beginning of each session.
Have a great day,
Adri
Hi everyone,
The release date of An Eggstremely Hard Game has just been revealed at Summer Game Fest this June 5th!
It’s honestly a dream come true to see my little game featured in one of the biggest showcases in the world, and I still can’t fully believe it.
The game will officially launch on July 24th next month, and the full release will include a lot of exciting new content:
The game will feature 4 unique biomes, each with its own mechanics and challenges:
The Park — static platforms and environmental obstacles
The City — moving and rotating platforms with dynamic hazards
The Village — breakable platforms and demolition balls
The Winter — icy surfaces and unpredictable wind currents
Play with up to 4 players in a brand new cooperative multiplayer mode. Two teams of two will compete to safely carry their eggs back home… but only the most coordinated duo will survive the chaos.
You’ll also be able to fully customize your goose with different options such as feather colors, hats, honk sounds, and more…
Over 40,000 players have already completed the demo and secured their place on the Geese Champions leaderboard. That's an incredible achievement, and definitely not an easy one!
But the competition isn't over yet. Geese Champions ends on June 30th, so there's still time to climb the ranks, claim a top spot, and earn the title of Ultimate Goose Champion.
See you on the leaderboard.
HONK!
And that’s everything for now.
I’ll be counting down the days until release, and I’ll keep sharing more news and surprises leading up to launch.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the game, none of this would be possible without you!
Have a great day, Adri
Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading the feedback from players who have been trying the demo over time, and I felt it was the right moment to make some adjustments and balance a few mechanics related to the egg physics.
Several players have mentioned that the egg launch physics felt unfair at times, so I’ve implemented some changes with the main goal of addressing this issue.
In previous versions, the egg had 11 health stages, from fully intact to completely cracked and dark. I now realize this was a bit excessive and not very intuitive, so I’ve reduced it to 6 stages.
Previously, every hit would progressively send the egg flying farther, regardless of whether the collision was strong or just a light bump. This meant that when the egg was heavily damaged, even the smallest touch could launch it very far, which often felt unfair.
In the new version, I’ve kept the idea of increasing instability as the egg cracks, so each damage stage still makes it more volatile and increases the force of impacts. However, I’ve added an additional parameter: collision speed. Light touches or gentle bumps now result in significantly reduced impact, while stronger collisions apply almost full force.
Additionally, the egg starts in a very stable state when healthy, firmly attached to the nest, but with each crack its stability and level of attachment gradually decrease.
Pan hits now have different sound effects depending on the force of the impact.
Fire particles now vary in spread and duration depending on impact strength.
Tutorial signs have been improved and are now fully translated into all supported languages.
Two additional tutorial signs have been added at the beginning of the game to better explain the egg and pan systems.
Collision with tree leaves has been reduced.
Please note that these changes are not necessarily final. I’m constantly iterating based on your feedback and on what I believe will provide the best experience for all types of players. Feel free to share your thoughts, suggestions, or let me know if you prefer the previous behavior.
That’s all for this update. A much larger announcement with new content will be coming soon.
Thank you to everyone supporting the game, it truly means a lot.
Have a great day, Adri
Hi,
I’ve received reports from players experiencing incorrect inputs on the client side, which caused unintended movements or random directions.
I’ve now released a new patch that I believe fixes this issue. If you were affected, please try the game again and let me know if everything is working properly now.
Best regards, Adri
50,000 wishlists?! 🤯
We’re blown away by your support!
Every wishlist, comment and share means the world to us.
We’re just getting started. More updates, features and challenges are coming! 🚀
Thank you for being part of Eggstremely Hard Game!
Hi everyone,
I’m happy to share that An Eggstremely Hard Game will be participating in the Steam Next Fest starting on February 23
If you’re planning to try new demos during the event, this will be the perfect time to jump in, break some eggs, and honk a lot.
Alongside this announcement, I’ve released demo version 0.3.0, which includes a few improvements and fixes based on your feedback.
A bug has been fixed where the egg could be launched out of the nest if you collided with it while the egg wasn’t fully inside yet.
Some sections of the demo have been slightly rebalanced to reduce frustration. An extra checkpoint has also been added in certain areas so players don’t have to repeat the same sections too many times.
The Christmas hat has been removed and replaced with a regular hat.
A new button has been added to the game that lets you access a feedback form directly, making it easier to share your thoughts and help improve the game.
As always, thank you so much to everyone who has played the demo, shared feedback, streamed the game, or simply added it to their wishlist. Your support really means a lot.
If you want to share feedback, report bugs, or hang out with other players, feel free to join the community on Discord. I’m always reading your messages there.
See you at Steam Next Fest, and once again… please try not to break the egg too much
Best, Adri
Hi everyone,
First of all, thank you again for all the feedback you’ve been sharing after playing the demo of An Eggstremely Hard Game. A lot of you mentioned issues related to the camera, especially discomfort, sudden zooms, and moments where obstacles made it hard to see what was going on.
Based on that feedback, I’ve prepared a new update focused mainly on improving the camera experience, along with a few smaller fixes and a tiny seasonal surprise.
Here’s what’s new in version 0.2.1:
The camera system has been reworked to feel more comfortable and predictable during gameplay.
A new system has been implemented where certain annoying obstacles become transparent when they block the camera’s view. This helps keep the action visible without relying on aggressive camera movements or sudden zoom changes like before.
The goal is to make the camera feel smoother, clearer, and less intrusive, especially in tighter areas of the level.
This change is experimental, so I’d really love to hear your thoughts. Let me know if you prefer this new camera behavior, or if you’d rather go back to the previous one.
This update also includes several small bug fixes to improve overall stability and polish across the demo.
There’s also a small holiday-themed surprise hidden in this update. You can enable it from the Match Settings menu, if you’re feeling festive.
As always, your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps shape the game with every update. If you have thoughts about the new camera system, encounter any issues, or just want to share your experience, feel free to drop by the Discord and let me know.
Thank you all for playing and supporting the demo.
Best, Adri
Hi everyone,
First of all, thank you so much to everyone who played the demo of An Eggstremely Hard Game. It has been amazing to see you having fun… and breaking so many eggs.
My main goal as a developer is to deliver the best possible experience, so I’m constantly reading your feedback and trying to improve the game step by step.
Over the past week, I’ve been working on a small update that introduces some requested changes and fixes several issues.
Here’s what’s new in version 0.2.0:
A new Match Settings Menu has been added and can be accessed from the lobby screen.
Available in Local Co-Op
Available in Online Co-Op (host only)
This menu allows you to adjust several useful gameplay settings, detailed below.
Some players reported experiencing noticeable input delay when playing online.
First, please make sure you are playing in the correct region. If input delay persists, a new experimental option may help.
Input delay can occur due to how your router establishes a connection with the match host.
In most cases, players can connect directly to the host and the delay is minimal. However, in some situations (depending on router configuration), a direct connection isn’t possible and a relayed connection is used instead, which increases input delay.
A new option called “Reduce Input Delay on Clients” has been added to the Match Settings Menu.
Default: Off
Optional: Turn On if you experience heavy input delay
When enabled, this system allows client players to control their character instantly, improving responsiveness and movement precision.
Please note: this feature is experimental and may cause minor visual desync issues on the client side. I recommend enabling it only if you really need it.
I noticed that some players were struggling a lot to complete the demo, so I’ve added an Easy Mode option in the Match Settings Menu.
Easy Mode includes:
More checkpoints throughout the level
A limit on how far the egg can be launched
This mode is ideal for players who prefer a more relaxed experience and want less rage during the demo.
Many players were confused by the pan heat system.
Previously, the boiling effect could be mistaken for the egg being damaged, when in reality it only indicated proximity to an obstacle.
To make this clearer, the system has been updated:
The pan now smoothly changes color from black to red based on proximity to obstacles
Fire and boiling effects now appear only after hitting an obstacle, and last for a few seconds
This should make the mechanic much easier to understand at a glance.
The following issues have been fixed:
In rare cases, the death-to-respawn transition effect remained visible on clients during gameplay. Fixed.
The pan fire SFX volume was not updating correctly when adjusting the audio sliders. Fixed.
Some lobby codes failed when entered manually. Fixed.
That’s all for this update.
For future patches, if you have suggestions or find any bugs, please report them on the Discord server. Your feedback really helps improve the game.
Thank you again for your support, and have a great day!
Adri
