Hey Devotees! ːcultistwowːːcultistwowː
We know many of you encountered issues and complete crashes when using localisations other then English in our game. If you were trying to play in Chinese, you probably know exactly why we're here, the game was crashing completely, making it unplayable. That's on us, and we're sorry. We've pushed a fix and Chinese localisation should now be working as intended. If you're still seeing issues, please let us know We also want to be upfront: this fix took longer than it should have because the Developer was overseas for personal reasons for about 9 days, with no way to patch during that time. That's not an excuse, just the honest reason. We know a broken game sitting unfixed for over a week isn't great, and we appreciate you sticking with us while we sorted it out.
Thanks for your patience, Devotees. Back to worshipping as normal. ːnootnootːːnootnootː P.s. How cool are our emotes! ːchubbyduckːːduckbawkːːduckdollarsːːduckstareːːnootnootː ːcultistwowːːcultistwutːːcultistyesːːhailtheorbː

We're back again with another round of bug squashing and duck pleasing fixes. Hotfix #3 tackles two of the biggest pain points since the last Hotfix, The dreaded cloud save desyncs and that quacky experience bug that prevented you from finishing the final obelisk and of course the game! Plus a handful of other quality of life improvements while we were duck deep in the code.
The amazingly talented Kaminari recorded a beautiful acoustic fingerstyle guitar arrangement of our main theme. We were absolutely blown away by it, so naturally, we did the only sensible thing... we slid into his DMs...
Kaminari's stellar cover is now officially part of the All Hail The Orb Boombox! Thank you so much, Kaminari, for letting us bring your incredible work into our game. You can check out the video here. Now, Before we jump into the bug fixes, our developer Ginger has a few words.....or rather, perform a public grovel....So here he is, on his knees, in front of all of you......grovelling.....
"Look, I'm going to be straight with you all. Some of these bugs were entirely my fault, and some of you have lost saves over the past week because of how I originally built the cloud save system. I cannot bring those saves back, and for that, I am genuinely, truly, deeply sorry! The new system should prevent this from ever happening again, but that sadly doesn't undo the damage already done. If you were one of the players affected, please accept my sincerest apologies, and a virtual duck of your choice....Quack!" Okay, with that display out of the way, let's get into the fixes!
Cloud Save Overhaul: We've completely rebuilt how the game saves your data to the Steam Cloud. Going forward, your saves should stay perfectly in sync and you shouldn't see anymore broken saves like you have been......we hope. Important Note: This fix prevents future save damage, but unfortunately we cannot recover or fix any saves that are already lost or broken. If this did happen to you, we are so very sorry. (Just reread Ginger's grovelling above.)
The Experience Softlock: You know that frustrating bug where the game would crash upon opening a chest, completely softlocking your ability to finish the game? Yeah, so....we couldn't actually figure out what in the quacks was causing the crash itself, but we did figure out what the crash was breaking, This is now hopefully fixed, the game may still crash, but it should no longer softlock you......wings and webbed feet crossed!
The Chasm Performance: We've squeezed out another round of performance improvements, this time focusing solely on the chasm area. At this point we've optimised, re-optimised and reeeeee-optimised this place so many damn times, that the ducks have gotten bloody whiplash. Hopefully this latest batch is the one that finally makes the chasm not tank your frames as badly as it did before. While not perfect, it should be better.....If it's not.....I guess you'll see us again soon.
Mushrooms Now Stay Put: Previously, Mushrooms sitting in your inventory would just vanish when you quit the game... Turns out Fyodor was using them in his herbal teas??? Anyway, we've had a talk to him, and his now promised us that he will no longer take any mushrooms he didn't personally harvest! So your inventory remains with you.
Smarter "Collect All" Harvesting: The "Collect All" button in the Mushroom Grotto use to harvest every single fully grown mushroom, regardless of whether it was done spreading its spores or not. Now, it only harvests mushrooms that have fully used up all their spores and can't spread anymore. This means more mushrooms overall, less micromanagement (yay!) and happier shroom farmers...Trust us, its better this way!
Master Portal Transition Toggle: If you turned off the Master Portal transition animation, the ducks would venture in and toggle it back on while you were away and out of the game....This was exhausting and annoying them, So we told them its completely fine to leave it on while you are away. So it "should" remain toggled on each time you load back into the game.
We're still chipping away at the remaining bugs, balancing issues & Quality of Life improvements, We've been reading every single piece of feedback you send our way, and we truly do thank you for that, it helps us know how we can improve our game and make it better for everyone that plays it. There are still a few lingering issues that we are aware of and we are destroying them one by one.
We released All Hail The Orb, only 9 days ago, and we are already on Hotfix #3, We have been working non stop to try and make things right and correct our mistakes, and it has been a lot! We want to thank you all for sticking with us through all this blunder! To everyone who's been patient, who's reported bugs, who's left a kind review, or who's just kept playing despite the chaos... thank you.... Truly. But for now, the whole team is going to be taking a well deserved break! LeGingerDev & N7_Maxxi have been working tirelessly over the past 9 days to ensure we do right by those who decided to buy and play our very first game, and we thank you but now its time for us to take a deep breath and have a few days to ourselves to relax and unwind. This doesn't mean we are leaving the game as it is, it just means there won't be any updates for at least the next week or so. N7_Maxxi will still be around to gather feedback, list down bugs, and help the community with any burning questions or issues, if need be!
Hey Devotee's First & foremost, we want to issue a massive, heartfelt thank you, and a sincere apology. As a small three-person team (with only one of those being the developer!), launching All Hail The Orb has been an incredible milestone, but we know the launch wasn't as smooth as it should have been. Between the progression blockers, some massive oversights, and our initial hotfix causing some unexpected chaos (yeah, we really quacked that one up), we know some of you were left frustrated. We hear you, we are still learning, and we have been working around the clock to fix our oversights and implement the features you've been requesting! We are truly sorry for the frustration we have caused each and every one of you, and we hope that this massive hotfix will show you that we are working hard to try and right our wrongs!
We know this update won't magically fix every single bug in the game, and there are still a several lingering issues that we are hunting down. Please know we are working incredibly hard to identify and remove them. This game means the world to us, and we want to make sure every single one of you can enjoy it to its absolute fullest! You gave us your feedback, and we listened! Here is what we've packed into All Hail The Orb Hotfix #2:
The Devotion Continues This was one of the biggest things people didn't like about our game, was that once you hit the end point and completed the story that was it, you could no longer go back in and complete any achievements you may of missed originally. We have gone ahead and changed how the whole end game works, It now allows you to continue the game as normal and get those final achievements you need after completing the story.
The Obelisk Experience Block Has Been Sacrificed! We fully fixed the obelisk expierience issue, that would see your progression locked if you fed it all the requested resources before hitting dungeon level 10. You should now register you being at level 10 whether or not you have filled it with all the requirements.
Stuck Resources Fixed Duckinite Ore will no longer get awkwardly stuck at 2K/5K instead of finishing.
Math Is Hard Selling mushrooms in the Mushroom Grotto now correctly rounds your gold coins to max capacity instead of taunting you at 499,998/500,000,
Mushroom Grotto Scaling Fixed the overflow issue when you hit ridiculous numbers of Mushrooms to sell, It now properly uses alphabetic notation (K, M, B, T)
Cultists Grew Some Brain Cells Cultists will now correctly (mostly) navigate to their assigned location when a spot clears up, no longer suffering from spontaneous amnesia about what thier jobs were, when another cultist takes their spot.
Duck Generator Tweaks We reblanced the Duck Generator......again so it is no longer super long or super quick to get the Duck Energy needed for some Ducksome upgrades!
Divine Naming Rights Originally there was an edit button on the ducks in the duck management systme, While it did nothing at the time, We ultimately decided to remove it instead of adding the ability to rename your ducks. This was a team decision as our way of honoring and respecting those in our community who custom designed and named Ducks for our game! We hope you will understand.
Save Your Frames & Your PC! We've added a new setting to toggle all major particles on and off in the game, If the late-game flying resources tanks your frames, or you just don't like the visual overload of all the particles, Flip this switch!
Persistent "Hide Maxed" Toggle Before if you had the "Hide Maxed" checked in the upgrade menus, and you quit out, it would toggle itself off, just out of spite. So we have gone in and ensured that once its toggled on, even if you quit and close the game, it will remain toggled correctly when you load back it......a ball & chain might of been used here.
Showing Off The Amazing Team! We finally added the credits to the main menu, meaning you no longer have to finish the entire game to see the amazing team and community members behind All Hail The Orb.
Thank You again to everyone who took the time to leave feedback, report bugs and stick with us while we smoothed out the massive wrinkles in our game, Your patience means the world to us! If you are enjoying the fixes and the new post-story play, Please consider leaving a positive review, It helps our tiny team more than you know!
First off, thank you for your incredible patience over the last 12 hours. We have officially identified and obliterated the issue that was causing the "Progression Block" at the Obelisk.
The Obelisk should now correctly accept your hard-earned Devotion Orbs, and your save files should be safe to continue. If you've been holding off on playing, the "All Clear" is officially given....it's time to get back to devoting yourselves to the ORB!
While we were messing around with the Quackpot, we didn't just fix the progression block; we decided to fix up a whole bunch of other issues we were made aware of.
The Obelisk Lock & Saves: You know that stubborn and annoying complete progression block? YEETED! Your devotion to the Orb will now be recognized. If the issue persists, please quit out of the game and load back it, it should auto-complete the obelisk allowing you to continue.
Late-Game Performance: We've optimized resource animations in all areas of the game. It’s sitting at about a 60% improvement in frame rates! While not perfect yet, it should be far more playable in the chaotic late-game now.
VAT Upgrades: We've reduced the cost of the Knowledge Vat upgrade from 500k to 450k Duck Coins to ensure players don't hit a gold coin softlock.
Achievement Sync & Safety Nets: We’ve added a new checking method to hopefully grant you any achievements you’ve earned in-game that Steam might have missed. Additionally, we've implemented "safety nets" for the 50 Ducks and Resonance Crystal achievements to help them track properly. While we’re still fine-tuning these, hopefully these will help with those missing unlocks! Please note: The 'continue after story' feature and the 50-duck achievement fix are NOT in today's update but are coming in the hotfix in 1-2 days!
VAT Upgrade Menu: No more embarrassing "naked" raw text! The Duckinite ore icon now displays correctly at upgrade level 3/5.
Dialogue Fixes: The Secret Orb Dweller and other Quacktastic NPCs have promised to stop hogging the screen; dialogue boxes can now be dismissed correctly.
Persistent Ducks: Your ducks will now stay exactly where you shoved them after a reload. No more pesky runaway ducks!
Cultist Brain Boost: We know you thought it wasn't possible, but we somehow managed it. We fixed the pathfinding issues that were causing cultists to get stuck on some walls and torches. Sadly we couldn't fix their infinite loops in the bedroom... Wink wink.
Generator Buff: We've boosted the base energy output speed of the Duck Energy Generator to better match the pace of your dungeon expansion.
Snappy Sprites: No more disappearing ducks when dragging them into walls, they'll now snap back to their slots correctly... we hope!
Ducks are no longer Devotion Diggers: The amount of Devotion required to get ducks from the Quackpot has been lowered severely! The cost of 50 ducks will now be in the Millions instead of Billions. Turns out the ducks actually love you and not just your Devotion!
What's Coming Next: We are currently working to push out another hotfix over the next day or two. This upcoming update will allow you to continue your game after finishing the story to mop up any achievements you might have missed.
A Final Note From The Team: Look, we'll be honest here: We really quacked this one up! This is our first-ever release and today was a massive learning curve for each one of us on the team. We are incredibly sorry for the stress and the time you've lost thanks to our mistakes, but we are more committed than ever to making All Hail The Orb something special. We're going to keep working through your feedback and pushing more fixes over the coming weeks. We know there are several more bugs, and we are slowly chipping away at them. If you do encounter any issues, please post them in the Discussion Hub or our Discord. Your feedback helps us make the game even better!
Hi Devotees, N7_Maxxi here.
We are currently working through some technical hurdles following a hotfix pushed earlier today. To try and keep things running smoothly, we have rolled the game files back to the previous version (Build 22865027).
Who might be affected? This situation likely only involves players who interacted with the game while the "Hotfix 1" version was live (roughly the last 6 hours). If you haven't played today, you should be completely fine!
The Current Situation: For those who updated or downloaded the game today, there is a chance you may encounter a progression lock where you can no longer feed the Obelisk, or the Obelisk doesn't accept any more devotion orbs despite requiring more to proceed.
Sadly, it seems simply rolling back to the previous build did not resolve this issue for everyone. As far as we can tell, not even fully clearing save/user data fixes this bug. So if you encounter this issue while further into the game, please do not delete your save data, as there is no promise it will solve the problem.
Our Advice: While we can't offer a fix right away, here are some things to be mindful of and to check before proceeding:
Check your Build: You should check that you are on Build 22865027. A quick Steam restart or "Verify Integrity of Game Files" usually handles this.
Be Mindful: If you played during that 6-hour window, you might want to be a little cautious. If you notice things aren't progressing as they should, it may be worth pausing that save for a little bit.
Wait for the Update: We’ve seen some of you successfully using manual edits to get past the block. If you want to take that risk, that is fine, but it might be safer to wait for our official fix to avoid any further headaches.
A Note to Our Community: Asking you to deal with these little launch-week "surprises" isn't ideal, and I am so sorry for any stress this causes. We are working as fast as we can on a proper fix so your journey to "unlocking" the Orb can stay on track.
Please keep in mind that this is a TEMPORARY issue, and it will be fixed ASAP. This is our first release and we are still learning the ins and outs of everything, so please bear with us while we work to fix our mistakes.
We’ll update you the second we have more news! Thank you for being so patient with us.
All Hail The Orb is now live. As we transition from demo and playtest versions into the full release, there’s some important changes to be aware of:
To support the full release version of the game, including new systems and full localisation, all existing save data from previous versions has been reset. This applies to all demo and playtest progress.
This change was required for launch and the full game now begins as a completely fresh experience for everyone. Demo saves do not carry over, as the full version has evolved significantly from earlier builds.
We understand this may be a little disappointing for those who’ve already spent time with the game and we truly appreciate the effort and feedback you’ve given so far, it has helped shape the final game. in a massive way.
At launch, All Hail The Orb supports 19 languages:
Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the game and helped us along the way. We’re excited for you to finally experience the full version.
- The LeGingerDev Team
With the full release of All Hail The Orb happening very soon, we wanted to share an update regarding the demo.
The current demo will be removed from the store page just before launch.
Since its original release, the game has evolved significantly and the existing demo no longer reflects the full experience. Rather than leave up something outdated, we want to make sure new players are seeing a version of the game that better represents what All Hail The Orb is today.
We’re currently working on an updated demo that more closely matches the full game and we’re aiming to have this available within the first week after launch.
This new version will also include save transfer support, meaning your progress in the demo will carry over to the full game if you decide to continue, so no need to start from scratch.
We originally hoped to have this ready sooner but our focus has been on ensuring the full release is in the best possible state for launch.
Thank you for your patience and support! We still want everyone to have a chance to try the game before buying and this updated demo will be a much better way to do just that.
— The LeGingerDev Team
All Hail The Orb will now launch on April 16th 2026.
Over the past week, development slowed unexpectedly due to some real-life circumstances. Rather than rush things and risk compromising the experience, we’ve decided to take a little extra time to polish, refine and make sure the full release is exactly what it should be.
The demo has given us great feedback and we want to use this additional time to ensure the launch version feels smooth, complete and worthy of your wishlists.
Thank you all for the continued support, patience and enthusiasm. It genuinely means a lot to us.
And yes...… the ducks are still watching you.
The All Hail The Orb demo is now available to download and play!
In the demo, you’ll get a small taste of the core experience including, powering The Orb, recruiting cultists, and gradually unlocking automation as you restore this old run down dungeon. It’s designed to be a relaxed, low-pressure incremental game with light-hearted humour and steady progression.
If you enjoy the demo, consider wishlisting the full game to stay updated on development and release news. Your support helps more than you know.
Thanks to everyone who’s already jumped in and for those who haven't..... What are you waiting for?
